Our experience at The Shellsea Krabi was overall average. First and foremost, the hotel feels outdated and is in clear need of renovation and modernization in order to meet current hospitality standards

This offers a lovely escape from the bustle of some of the local areas. We were really pleased that we decided NOT to go to the islands, which look like a cattle market! So spoiled

We are loved the varied breakfast but chose to visit the little rustic God-le shack which is 500m away (turn right outside the hotel and walk up the road and find it on the right)

Service was consistently thoughtful, proactive, and made the stay feel effortless. The rooms are beautifully designed, each with a private pool that adds a real sense of privacy

Our last stop on the trip was Banyan Tree, and it was an excellent choice. The service, facilities, family-friendliness, and environment all live up to the price

As soon as I entered the property I was mesmerized by the lobby area setup and the warm welcome. I checked into the partial ocean view room and the overall stay was flawless and the hospitality service was remarkable

The service is as exceptional as what you'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton – truly outstanding and international standard. Our butler was incredibly attentive, arranging afternoon tea and evening turn-down service daily

We particularly enjoyed Jayda and Toey who helped make us feel comfortable and happy during our stay. There is a national park within walking distance of the resort that offers challenging hikes with spectacular views

The dining was decent, with a good mix of Western and Thai cuisine. What really sets this place apart is the complimentary activities like yoga, sailing, and kayaking, making it incredible value for money

Nice, big and well cleaned room. Nice balcony towards the pool and ocean. Good location just a short walk from eveything you need. Poolarea needs more sunbeds and the bed is pretty firm. Paid 111 euro, would stay again

The restaurants across the street had perfect view of the beautiful evening sunsets. We could walk to the AO Nang night market where there is entrainment and many food vendors

The room was spacious, not fancy but it had everything we needed. This hotel was in a great location. Right across the street from the beach

You can rent a long boat from the beach and take it out to the islands. So much within walking distance made this a perfect location for us

It was less touristy area than further up the road where the stores and restaurant's blocked the views and it appeared to be more crowed

Great stay at Ava Sea Resort! The room was very clean, breakfast was good with nice variety, and the location is excellent-just a short walk to Ao Nang Beach.

Excelent breakfast (eggs - different ways, vegetables, jam, butter, bread, fruits, sausages, tradition dished - 2 or 3 each morning, different everyday). Big room, clean, the stuff was very nice

Best place to stay at Krabi, perfectly located. You have pubs and bar all around open till late midnight. Even the hotel is at the center of market Street, just walk along the road and shop

While it wasn't a suite, it was much more practical with two bathrooms and two balconies, offering great convenience for the kids and adults to have separate spaces

The breakfast was also fantastic, with Western, Thai, Chinese, and Indian options – so substantial that two meals a day were usually enough

The swimming pool is excellent; you could easily spend a whole day relaxing by the pool

Traveling with two adults and two children, we booked a connecting family room

Some suggestion would be to offer basics like toothbrush. Breakfast quite a bit selection as it’s 4 star hotel, don’t expect lots of variety. For us, it was good enough to keep my little one busy

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location—it is located just opposite Ao Nang Beach, and the Ao Nang night market is within easy walking distance, which makes everything very convenient

The location is convenient, with the night market nearby, the sea just across the road, and the boat station about 300 meters away

We were a large group and booked three rooms. We had read reviews and were prepared for the hotel not to be perfect

Nevertheless, the positives outweighed the negatives: big rooms, a spacious bathroom, a nice and clean pool, and a beautiful lobby

Location is facing beach and easily walk to Oanang Landmark which is street food and night market is there every night with life music on the beach. The o ly downside is gym is not fancy but very simple

They made us feel comfortable from the very beginning of our stay. In particular, Cream, Kik, Zo, and Hardy were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our time there, and we are very grateful for their assistance

We had such a lovely stay at Pakasai Resort 😍🪵💚 The grounds are incredibly lush and peaceful - it honestly feels like you’re tucked away in nature, even though you’re still close to Ao Nang Beach

Our stay at Pakasai Resort in Krabi was truly a wonderful experience. The resort has a very special atmosphere where you genuinely feel as if you are staying in the middle of a magical forest

Being surrounded by nature while hearing the sounds of rain, sunshine through the trees, and the forest itself creates a peaceful and unique environment. The staff were always warm, welcoming, and smiling

There are many things to do nearby, a 7-Eleven is very close, and the night market is within easy reach, making it convenient to explore the area while still enjoying the tranquility of the resort

The rooms located deeper inside the forest, which require a short walk through the greenery, are especially beautiful and add to the feeling of being immersed in nature. Breakfast was another highlight

A couple of tips: try to book a beachfront room if you can as the views are worth it, and the sunsets from the beach bar are brilliant. It’s also worth renting a scooter to explore more of Koh Lanta while you’re there

What an incredible place! We’re staying at the Twin Lotus Resort & Spa (adults-only during this season) on Koh Lanta, and we couldn’t be happier

The location is fantastic: it’s right on Klong Dao Beach, a super long stretch of beautiful white sand. Even at low tide, it’s all soft sand—no rocks or coral to worry about

The pools, beach area and sunset views are all great, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout the stay

The resort is right on the beach, the atmosphere is really peaceful, and it feels like the perfect place to properly relax for a few days

Twin Lotus Resort & Spa in Koh Lanta was easily one of my favourite places I stayed

Such a beautiful, well preserved, tastefully decorated hotel! Located on one of the best beaches of the island, providing easy access to the sea and also offering two decent sized pools

Literally everything was great - the staff, the room, the pools, the beach, the SPA, the excursion, the transfers to & from the airport. The food was good, definitely better than many hotel food I had in my life

We also opted to do the private boat tour to Koh Rok and Koh Haa islands, this was amazing and so worth the money - would definitely recommend. Thanks to all the staff for making it so memorable

Good hospitality. Room is new and clean. Although it’s quite far to Aonang beach, the price is relatively lower to stay here compared to stay nearby Aonang. Worth it!

Towels and tissues were not replenished unless we specifically requested them. Nothing in the room was refreshed automatically. Even more disappointing, the WiFi was cut off immediately after we checked out

Huge room with an equally huge balcony. The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The hotel itself is in a quiet area, close to shops, many cafes, and restaurants. The beach is a 10-minute walk away

Only stayed for 1 night. But the location is really convenient only 800m to the ao nang beach. The staffs pretty nice and helpful

What a fantastic find in Ao Nang! The lovely lady at the reception was incredibly helpful and kind, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived

It's also a bit smaller than the ground floor rooms. Luckily, the sea view is great! 🌊 There are four mirrors by the vanity. The maid turns them to face the wall during turn-down service – a cute little detail

Don't miss out if you enjoy cocktail making or cooking experiences! The hotel also offers daily shuttle boats to Hong Island. I'd been before, so I didn't go again and just spent a relaxing day at the hotel

I was initially assigned room 37, which had the sea view completely blocked by trees. After discussing it, I was moved to a room closer to the sea. This room type doesn't have a private pool, only a bathtub

▪️Yellow soft indoor slippers: Like walking on clouds, super comfy and plush. The customized birthday brownie cake was delicious! 🍫 It had a dense, fine texture, and both its appearance and taste were top-notch (P8)

You can note birthdays or anniversaries in advance, and the staff will discreetly prepare a surprise – so thoughtful! The bed at the hotel is huge (P17)! It feels like a King size and a Queen size put together

I only tried the Thai food at the hotel restaurant, and the soft-shell crab was amazing! Other dishes weren't really to my personal taste. You can refer to the bill on P7 for prices

Great hotel and well-worth the money! The rooms are beautiful and very clean. Only issue we encountered were that the beds were very hard but the staff sorted that out with no issues. Would definitely recommend:)

Tasty food, always smiling staff. Great rooms, functional and well designed. The swimming pool is going between the rooms, cool concept. Ground floor rooms have access to the pool directly from the terrace

The hotel is very nice, beautiful room clean and tidy and nice swimming pool on the rooftop. They provide you with beach towels, coffee and water. Nice place to relax and enjoy the area

Upon check in we got a free upgrade to a pool access room which was amazing. Service and staff are friendly. Rooms were always cleaned and fresh towels whenever you wanted them

Rather exclusive compared to other places we've seen. Offering private sun beds in shade, several swiming pools and a beach bar. Rooms were spacious and comfortable

A nice hotel, nut the future I would stay in Ao Nang beach area. They do a shuttle to the beach several times a day. The rooftop bar was never open, nor was the cocktail bar. There was a very annoying Rooster next door

Theres a small pool with mountain view inside the room. Bed is super comfy, staff are friendly and there's 7-11 near the hotel (2mins walk). If you are looking for a place that is not seaside I would recomend this one

The shower drain was clogged, causing water to collect and drain very slowly after showering. The location is a bit far from the main area, but there is a 7-Eleven nearby, which is convenient

One day, when I returned from a tour, my room had still not been cleaned and I had to wait in the lobby while it was being serviced

Overall, the free shuttle service and friendly staff were positives, but housekeeping and maintenance could be improved

Good located, nice hotel with excellent service, beautiful rooms, and clean. The pool is nice, though some older German guests sometimes reserve sunbeds and leave for hours – not the hotel’s fault

Our room was not near the nightclub, so it was relatively quiet at night. The hotel offers activities like visiting the elephant sanctuary and transfers to chosen destinations

We skipped breakfast after reading reviews. There are many nearby places with great breakfast options, so it wasn’t a problem. Overall, we are very satisfied

Aonong is busy and very touristy and lots of young people wanting to get drunk in the area, if you want somewhere relaxing and beautiful to visit I recommend you instead go to the island Koh Lanta

I can’t take a star for air con, but it is very very very and very loud. No mode for it to function less noisy

I've got a total soft spot for this hotel in the jungle - it was a real highlight of our Thailand trip! The location was incredible, surrounded by lush greenery, and the hotel itself was amazing

Only thing that bugged me was waiting for the hotel car to take us into the city - the process was a bit chaotic, with staff letting visitors jump the queue. Left some of us waiting ages 😕

We end up getting our own private taxi. Still, can't fault the experience overall, would totally recommend!

We stayed at a few places during our trip, but this one was my favourite by a mile

The rooms are situated on the hillside, and there is a free shuttle service available both uphill and downhill. You can drive up by car, or walk if you prefer, although it can be a bit steep for higher rooms

At the very top of the resort, there is a viewpoint that can be reached by stairs, and the view from above is absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery of Krabi

Everything was so good highly recommended, they have their own carpark site, the only problem for us is the switch wall socket only 2 holes so we can't charge our phones or use the electronics tools so bring the 2 holes plug charger or USB

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was cozy, and everything I needed was provided

The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. The location is also very convenient, close to shops and easy to get around

The balcony was large ,but unfortunately the aircon system was out there with you. Music from bars next door ,but wasn't too bad inside. I'd skip it , plenty of better places around

The kitchen area had everything you needed to cook/eat, with two hobs, a good size fridge freezer, microwave and various utensils. Located on the main road with shops and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the beach

The grounds are great, and the two-bedroom villa with a pool view is lovely. Breakfast is good, pretty much everything you need. There are shuttles to the beach and the walking street

Spacious room. Location was ideal as it was not too close to the main centre (lesser crowded) yet not too far either. Staff (muk, amin, ruz, fatin) were friendly and helpful most of the time

The only downside is if you don't have a scooter or car, you'll have a bit of an uphill walk. And it's a bit far from the nightlife. But for a family, it's perfect

Since it's not right on the main road, it's also very quiet at night, which was great for sleeping
