Krabi Riverview Hotel in Krabi City

This is a basic cheap hotel in a great location in Krabi Town. We stayed for almost a week for $150. This is a BASIC hotel, if you are looking for a 4 or 5 star experience then don't stay here. Here's how I would rate everything:

Staff - perfectly nice and attentive, also they refilled our waters daily even tho we never wanted our room cleaned.

Room - we had a room with a balcony. We had the superior double. It was HUGE for the price, and the balcony was nice to look at the city lights at night and people watch. The bathroom is basic but it has a dedicated shower so no complaints. It seems like the bathroom had an issue with flies ... For the price and space we got, I could overlook this. AC worked just fine, but only turns on when you are in the room.

Noise level - I'm going to mention noise level because it seems many reviews have docked this hotel for street noise. You are in the heart of town in a basic hotel, yes, there will be street noise. If you don't want street noise, stay further away from the town center or go to a less basic hotel ... Or wear ear plugs. Walls tend be in thinner in basic Thai hotels, it's nothing that ear plugs can't fix. This is what I did and I slept great.

Location - Krabi Town is not a resort town. It has more locals. If you are looking for a resort feeling, stay in one of the neighboring towns. I Loved the location. You could see locals take their dinner haul from the market and enjoying dinner on the park benches on the river. There are plenty of touristy feeling restaurants in the area mixed with food stalls and more local food markets. I like that it didn't feel overrun by tourists. There are lots of long tail boats on the river who will take you to various destinations.

For the price and location, I have no complaints, I would stay here again no question.

I saw the rooms lit in the evening when walking the river side in Krabi. A nice little town with Italian restaurants, bakeries and British pubs. Quite European. Attracts probably the most international tourists from China, India and Europe.
The receptionist was friendly and showed us how to use the key. The rooms were bright and air conditioned. Though it’s noisy during daytime from the street it was quiet for a sound sleep. Restaurants and bars are close by.

Great location & value. The traffic noise is loud through the single pane glass but the views out of the panoramic windows are amazing. Inexpensive & in the heart of Krabi, large room, I’d stay here again. I’d say the 4 star average is spot on: no frills, some downsides but mostly dank.

Everything is good, stuff is really nice but AC was a bit old and didn't work properly. We had to change the room, in second one everything was good

Lovely clean spot beside the river. No elevator though so bit of a hike to the 4th floor. Nice breakfast for Thailand but avoid the coffee.

Clean and friendly hotel. Very nice room. Good airco. Lovely view over the river. Good dinner and breakfast. Friendly people. Relaxed atmosphere. Good assistance in planning transportation next day.
One small minus: no elevator.

Very close to lots of attraction (walking distance) like weekend walking street,local minibus (to airport) stop and not so far from night market. Convenient stores nearby (7-11, family mart).
No elevator may be one of major downside,if not only one. Room is clean and well equipped.
Staffs are friendly.
