Dar El Yasmine Tunis in Tunis

We had a lovely stay at Dar El Yasmine. Helene and Mohamed are great hosts, breakfast was great, the house is beautiful and the neighbourhood is quiet. There are a lot of shops, supermarkets, caffes, restaurants in walking distance. We used Bolt to get to Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. Would recomend it to anyone that wants to visit the area.

A bit late (our stay was in June), but we had a wonderful week with incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming hosts. We felt right at home. The house is beautiful and the location is peaceful. The pool is lovely. The grounds are lush, green, and beautifully maintained with flowers. Unforgettable moments, we highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at Dar El Yasmine! Helene and Mohammed were wonderful hosts from helping us with our taxi from the airport until our departure. The room was wonderful, quiet, even spacious. The entire grounds are lovely. The breakfasts were remarkable! Homemade jams and yogurt complimented delightful pastries and juices. We had a room with a small kitchen that allowed us to have an occasional meal there. As other reviews have noted, this spot isn’t in the most exciting neighborhood. Rather, this is in a residential area (with some nearby cafes and a grocery market in walking distance). We got between the B&B and the rest of Tunis via (very affordable) taxis using the Bolt app, which I recommend highly for getting around the city. With that in mind, the location was great since it’s about halfway between Carthage/Sidi Bou Said/beaches to the east and the medina/European city to the west. Rides were seldom more than 15 minutes and 5 USD/Euro. Moreover, Helene’s advice on what to see and how to visit all of Tunis’s fabulous sites was absolutely indispensable. We wouldn’t have had such a great trip without it. Next time I’m in Tunis, I’ll absolutely stay here.

I just finished a wonderful visit to Tunisia made special by a stay at Dar el Yasmine. The place is beautiful and the accommodations very tasteful. Helene went out of her way long before my trip to arrange touring for me. Also Helene and Mohamed were so accommodating and engaging. I will be back!

I'm writing this review quite late, but I really wanted to. We spent two nights last August at Hélène and Mohamed's place. We had a very pleasant stay; they were accommodating with the room, available whenever we needed them, and offered great advice for sightseeing. The house is beautifully decorated, the garden is lovely, and we had some interesting conversations with our hosts. I would have loved to stay longer! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!
