The hotel is located in front of Bosphorus Strait, and very convenient access to the ferry port and the metro stration. Since I used the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW), it took about only one hour from the airport to the hotel by using Metro, without worrying about traffic jams. The room's view? I'd rate it a zero. There's no view at all, the windows are tiny, and no light gets in because it looks out onto a dark wall.

I really loved the Shangri-La atmosphere; it blended Chinese artistic flair with French creamy elegance. Combined with the view from the window, it felt tranquil and pleasant, yet full of charm. What disappointed me was the poor character of the staff at the front desk who handled check-in. They used cunning Turkish scams on customers they were supposed to serve.
