Oykun Hotel in Fethiye

I was visiting Turkey for the first time and my sister and brother in law stayed in this hotel about 3 years ago and throughly enjoyed staying here so I decided to book into the same hotel.

Intially I was quite impressed because other people had also written very positive reviews about theur experience in this hotel.

It is a 3 star hotel so I guess you cannot expect 5 star service but I stayed there for 10 days with my daughter and I can honestly say that we only slept at the hotel because the room was a good size .Breakfast was included in the deal but we went down only once and it was discusting .we never had breakfast there again .The food in this hotel in not worth eating at all I would not even give it one star.

Everyone staying at the was over 70 years of agexperience and the staff only seemed to give a straight face to the guests who were eating in the hotel and used their limited facilities ....we were not one of those guests so staight away we noticed they were quite hostile towards us .The air-conditioning in the hotel is lousy .The WiFi connection is only available by the bar not anywhere in your room and it is such a poor connection.

Whist we were guests there our room telephone was not working for 4 days and even though we reported it not enough effort was made to fix the problem so it remained our of use up until the day we left .This ment that we physically had to leave thearly room and walaundry down a long flight of stairs so make a request.... very inconvenient.

The bathrooms are in a poor state of repair and the shower head s are full of limescale as if never been cleaned and the television is about 14 inch screen with limited viewing of English programmes and movies.

I loved turkey and the lovely turkish people I met outside as they are friendly , courteous and humble but I would never stay in this hotel again .

Maybe they were providing a great service and a great me ur in the past but that's definitely not the case anymore .
