Unacceptable Discrimination at the Front Desk

While the hotel itself is clean and visually appealing, our stay was completely overshadowed by one of the most disturbing encounters I’ve ever experienced while traveling.

We arrived early and attempted to check in. The receptionist, Sina, began by asking where we were “really from” despite holding Canadian passports — a question that immediately felt inappropriate and loaded. What followed was a barrage of unsolicited political commentary and deeply offensive remarks about our ethnicity. Throughout our stay, he continued to make discriminatory, demeaning comments that made us feel unsafe, unwelcomed, and targeted.

Simple requests were met with unnecessary difficulty, laced with passive-aggressive comments rooted in prejudice. It genuinely felt as though this individual went out of his way to ruin our experience. I’ve never encountered such hostility while traveling — and unfortunately, it seems we are not the only ones. Upon reviewing other comments, I’ve found several similar complaints, particularly from guests with Arabic-sounding names.

The fact that Sina is still employed, despite this disturbing pattern, suggests either willful ignorance or implicit support from management. It raises serious questions about the values and priorities of the hotel’s leadership.

To anyone considering this hotel: if you are not white or Western-looking, please think twice. No one should have to endure such dehumanizing treatment on what’s supposed to be a peaceful getaway. We were relieved to check out, and we will not be returning.

Lovely hotel, recently renovated to a high standard. Pool, breakfast, rooms all great. Best of all is the staff, most of which have been there for years. They are polite , friendly and helpful. We will return, after many stays already.

Another annual visit to Hotel Club E. It has undergone a significant makeover making it feel spacious and clean. I have reviewed it before so wont go into the details that other people also comment on (amazing pool for example and beautiful gardens). I think the major 'shout out' is to its staff. #Ahmed always there and helpful, #Mustafa Hotel Manager also helpful and friendly, the amazing and beautiful #Fatoosh, last but not least # Fatih - bar manager, bar man, pool person, umbrella man, waiter, helpful everything and incredibly kind and funny. He is tireless and nothing is too much trouble. Going to try and book again but TUI are not turning up for their contract meetings (same with the Oykun) and we will be emailing TUI separately about this. WE LOVE YOU HOTEL CLUB E!

The hotel is in a fabulous location 5 mins walk and you are in the middle of everything. The beech, great restaurants and brilliant sunset, something for everyone. The hotel its self is set in a beautiful garden with sun beds for everyone and a great pool area which as a very relaxing feeling and great for chilling out also with outside dinning ,the rooms are very spacious clean and comfortable with everything you need, the service is excellent the staff are absolutely fantastic nothing is too much trouble for them from checking in to leaving, Faith, Sulemon, Razz, Barkan, Harmmed, made us feel very welcome and Fatima makes fantastic food , they all work extremely hard to make you holiday special, I really can’t rate this hotel and staff enough, this is my fourth time staying here and will definitely be back next year. This was our first time to this hotel and the first time to Turkey. From the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we left we felt welcomed, relaxed and at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. We had a garden room which was very modern with a large terrace overlooking the pool, a great bathroom and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice every day. The pool is large with a few sun loungers around it but the main sun lounger area is in the large garden. We mainly went to the beach but did have a dip in the pool when we returned each day and there were always plenty of sun loungers free. The bar area provides everything from milkshakes to cocktails which are all delicious. We attended the barbecue night whilst there which was brilliant and the food excellent. Special mention to Suleiman and Fatih for the entertainment around the bar on barbecue night…fantastic dancing!! There are a lot of returning guests here which says a lot and we have never found so many chatty and friendly guests as we did on this holiday which was lovely. We absolutely loved this hotel and all the staff and are hoping to return next year. Well done to everyone at Club-E ☀️

Beautiful hotel deserves more than 3* since the upgrade. Staff are incredibly friendly & helpful, food is excellent, well done Fatima for cooking such beautiful food year in year out, the prices for food & drink are good and the selection & menu are well balanced. This is our 3rd visit to Club-E and we are already looking to book for next year. ❤️

The hotel is nice: clean, comfortable room, good breakfast, free parking, and a great location near the seafront — perfect if you have a car to explore Ölüdeniz and the area. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with a boat tour booked through reception. We asked for a quiet, small-group trip in nature, and were sold a package for over 5,000 TL (more than 100 €) that was supposed to be relaxing and exclusive. Instead, we ended up on a crowded pirate-style boat with over 180 people, loud music, bad food — and other guests had paid less than half. When we complained, the hotel initially denied any responsibility and only partially refunded us after we insisted. Really disappointing, especially because we were clear about what we wanted. A shame, because the hotel itself was otherwise very pleasant.
