Lidya City Hotel in Fethiye

We were really surprised how awful this place was. We are convinced the good reviews are fake. The room smelled like body odor and cigarettes. The sheets and pillowcases looked and smelled as if they were not washed. Half of the furniture in the room was broken. The AC units barely worked, and probably haven’t been cleaned and who knows how long. We all woke up stuffy and with sore throats. There was dirty, musty leftover laundry in the cabinet. It was just really terrible. It was very very low quality for nearly $200. The convenience of the location was the only reason we booked it. We were in such a hurry to get out, we forgot to take pictures, but trust that this place is awful.

This is APART with kitchen. But there were no any kettle, any stove, any dishes. The linen and towel are dirty and torn. The Internet didn't work, I didn't even check the TV. Wires are sticking out of the wall.

It's good that I only stayed for one night.

It happens that you want to leave a negative review, but when you leave, due to some minor advantages, the review remains unwritten. But in this case, I think it’s worth writing it... and I’ll write it, maybe I’ll save someone’s life... We wanted to stay in Fethiye for a few days after passing the Lycian Trail and relaxing in Oludeniz, to visit the main attractions, walk along trekking trails in Kayakoy, Oludeniz, so to speak, lightly, without a tent. But, apparently, this was not destined to come true. We booked the island hotel Lidya City on the website. When checking in, we were told that we only had one person paid for and that 10 euros were missing for check-in, but, it’s unclear why, we only need to pay 5 euros extra, probably a promotion. The hotel was paid in advance for two persons, as evidenced by the Ostrovok voucher. After spending an hour at the reception, calling Ostrovok, who could not immediately say anything intelligible, I decided that I would pay these 5 euros and we would finally put our backpacks down and go for a walk around Fethiye. In the end, only in the evening, when we contacted him again, he informed us that there was no need to pay for anything, that everything had already been paid, but that we needed a check, where it was written that we had paid for the accommodation; the one issued was not suitable. I have nothing to do with this, sort it out among yourselves, but there is a problem, the Island works through an intermediary, but the intermediary does not move. And I spend time and I also pay for it. So we threw our backpacks, and already noticed that the room was somehow shabby. But the desire to have lunch was stronger than all the questions about this issue, so we went for a walk. After walking around, returning, and looking around our room, we became desperate. Well, they made a double bed for us out of two single beds, so the bedspreads had traces of shoes, the bed linen was covered in hair. I am attaching all the photographs, I was not lazy and took photographs. In response to my comments about the cleanliness of the bed linen, they gave me a blanket, still damp after washing, and told me to look in the closet for cleaner bed linen. You can evaluate the level of service yourself. There was no bed linen in the closet. It was decided to sleep on blankets in sleeping bags without using bedding. Further on the list: a dirty floor, dirty chairs, a table, after wiping which the napkin turns black, dirty towels, sometimes with teal, a filthy, dusty and fragrant sofa. From the hotel's point of view, it looks like we have to sit at this table, dry ourselves with this towel, draw these lovely curtains. The Internet works in such a way that it does not work, the connection constantly drops. And how many amenities there are. There is a kitchen, but there is not even a kettle in this kitchen, there are no mugs, there is nothing, but there is a kitchen. The shower holder is broken, the water pressure is such that when water passes through the heater, it feels like it is boiling, so it is better to wash with cold water. You can appreciate the freezer in the photo, Ice Age 2.0, yellow snow as a bonus. And the cherry on the cake, the one whose population has survived millions of years to end up in this room, a real, red, arrogant and mustachioed cockroach! IN
