A pure 1-star hotel as there's only the rooms and bathrooms, no other facilities or spaces available for guests so don't expect a lobby to chill in, luggage-storage or anything else. I stayed in the female dorm, the bed was a very comfortable single bed. And was only 3 bed in one room. Bathrooms are clean and the location is amazing. I would recommend this to any solo traveler on a budget.

The location is great! It's in a great spot where you can easily walk to many tourist spots. The older man who seemed to be a hotel employee didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate by showing him some text translated into Turkish. There are no amenities, so we recommend bringing your own.

This was a great little find. Just a stroll from our accommodation. No need to head into town. The views are spectacular and the meals amazing. We had falafel wrap and a glass of red. Mixed experience. The old man was exceedingly unpleasant and rude, even for an old man. After I checked out, I wanted to sit in the lobby for 20 minutes to download some apps and plan my day, but he turned off the wifi and kicked me out. Also I suspect they don't change the sheets. Location is super, in the city center. Near to restaurants, cafes, shops and big mosque. Place is comfortable and well planned. Usually the owner himself is in reception. He is very nice and helpful. I liked probably only the bed itself, a good mattress, bed linen and a blanket. BUT! It is located on a very busy street, the upper bed is near the window and also without curtains, well, i.e. transparent, there is tulle, but the light from the lanterns is very bright. This is exactly as advertised! Hosts were very kind, offering tea and coffee all day as well as the complimentary breakfast. Perfect location for getting to all major attractions in the city as well as lots of dining options nearby. Would definitely recommend as an affordable stay in Istanbul!

I came to stay at cheers for one night but I ended up staying for a whole week. I met some friends for life. If you like to play instruments or sing then cheers is a perfect option for you, there's often a little jam session happening downstairs. i loved this hostel! the staff is super nice and the premises are very clean! the toilet was always clean and so were the bed and bedsheets. they let me use the toilet after check out and leave my bags after checkout, also were worried after me because i showed up very sick. would totally come back!!!

My husband and I stayed in this hostel for two nights. The hosts Ibo and Hicham made us feel so welcome in Istanbul and gave us a lot of tips on where to eat or go out. A lovely stay! My private room was clean and well-maintained, and had an amazing view of the street outside. The AC worked great (thank goodness). It is a busy road and can be noisy at night, so if you are a light sleeper, maybe consider somewhere else or earplugs. We stayed here our second time in Istanbul and loved it. Super nice and easygoing staff with great recommendations for activities and places to eat. Bit of a walk to the major attractions but don’t let this deter you. It’s a fantastic location if you want to really feel the heart of the city. Dorms are clean with plenty of locker space.

The food is good.No public space.No outlets by the bed (it depends) The menu served by the restaurant is great, but it would be great if this hotel had public space in the morning and every room had outlets to charge phones. When I went to the bar to charge my phone in the morning, one of the staff denied me.
