Reviews
It has good access to taksim but its not worth it
The room was super small and the bathroom was a disaster
The sink in the bathroom was leaking and eventhough we told reception several times they didnt do anything about it
In general not worth the money at all!!!!!
My name is Elsan, and I stayed at Rexee Hotel near Istiklal Street with my girlfriend. This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life.
From the moment we arrived, everything was wrong. The old woman at the reception behaved extremely unprofessionally and disrespectfully. She pretended to be friendly with fake laughing, but in reality she cheated us. She pressured us to cancel our original booking reservation, promising something better, and after that she gave us a very bad, small, dirty room. We felt completely tricked.
The room was terrible: uncomfortable bed, bad smell, poor cleanliness, and nothing like what was advertised. Clearly, once the reservation was canceled, they didn’t care anymore.
The breakfast was awful — very limited, low quality, not fresh, and not worth waking up for. No variety and no hygiene feeling at all.
On top of everything, the noise was unbearable. Because of the clubs around Istiklal Street, there were drunk people shouting, screaming, and fighting all night right outside the hotel. No soundproofing at all. Sleeping was almost impossible.
This hotel has no respect for guests, bad management, dishonest reception staff, and very poor service overall.
I do not recommend Rexee Hotel to anyone — couples, tourists, or anyone who wants peace and honesty.
Save your money and stay somewhere else.
There were rats in the kitchen, and breakfast food was left from the previous day. Even if it looked fresh, it was stored in a very dirty and unsafe environment. The kitchen itself was extremely unhygienic.
The rooms were not cleaned properly
Additionally, two of the staff members were working illegally, and if they went outside, they could be arrested by the police.
Most guests were very unhappy with their stay.
The shower water was cold, and there were frequent power outages.
Based on all of this, I do not recommend this hotel at all, especially for families.
Guest health, safety, and satisfaction are clearly not a priority here.
⭐ Strongly not recommended
Very old, no maintenance
Very noisy at night (there are some bars in the corner), we were listening their music all night, even if we were in 4th floor.
Breakfast very simple. Coffee, bread, some eggs and jelly. Always the same. When we wanted milk for the coffee the reception lady went to buy 1 liter, next door.
They never passed on the room for cleaning, at least to refill shower gel and toilet paper .
Issues with hot water on the shower, some of the times.
Air conditioning had problems with the hot air.
In our room there was an emergency door exit, very bad isolated, was running in the floor.
We book it through Booking.com, when we arrived , they cancelled the booking order and requested us to pay directly to the hotel saying that Booking does not work on Turkey.
Receptionist guys were nice. They tried to minimize the uncomfortable stay. Long hair man in the reception room a blanket to our room, gave us toilet paper when we requested etc.
I booked Rexxee Hotel Istanbul expecting a proper hotel room in the main building. Upon arrival, they told me my room had been double-booked and moved me to a room in another building that does not resemble the hotel I booked. There is no reception in this building, it does not function like a hotel, and I strongly believe this was done intentionally.
The experience was unacceptable:
• Safety & Environment: The building had very low lighting and felt unsafe. Loud knocking on doors at night made it extremely frightening.
• Facilities: The TV didn’t work, the door lock was faulty, and the air conditioner made a loud, disturbing noise that kept me awake all night. Light switches were hidden behind the TV, and there was no phone to contact reception.
• Housekeeping: The room was not cleaned once during my entire stay, toilet paper was never replaced, and overall hygiene was very poor.
• General Condition: The building felt neglected, scary, and far from the hotel experience advertised.
The only positive was parca, a staff member who tried to help.
I booked a hotel, not a room in a separate, poorly maintained building with no reception. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise all travelers to avoid Rexxee Hotel Istanbul.

It is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in the centre of the city.
Even the bathroom was so small
The bed was so tiny we couldn’t sleep normally with the stres if we fall to the ground in the middle of night.
The staff wasn’t friendly at all
The breakfast wasn’t tasty and it didn’t have option to choice
The walls were very thin we heard every noise outside our room
And this place was like burdelo there were a line of men’s waiting to get massage by two women’s
I can say that is not a place to go with your family
The only good thing was the internet
And that this motel was in the city center
Overall maximum grade.
For perfectionists you will probably always find many disadvantages, but if you want a hotel placed in a very good area, with a very good breakfast buffet, at a very good price and with a staff worthy of appreciation - I highly recommend this hotel.
I've been here for 3 days and I'll stay a few more days.
One mistake on the part of the receptionist (For which I have all the respect and I give it the highest grade for kindness) was that he passed me the POS payment note in Turkish lira instead of the euro conversion and initially I paid much less than I should have to pay.
They checked later and it was fixed immediately.
All respect for the reception and the people in the kitchen.
I read several reviews before choosing this hotel and many of the negative reviews are not true. The hotel has been renovated and is still being refurbished.
Grade 10 from me. I am convinced that the staff does everything possible to make you feel at home. 🇹🇷🇹🇩
