Mukarnas Pera Hotel in Istanbul

The hotel is conveniently located. It's clean. Those are all the positives. The room is heated by air conditioning, but the floors are freezing, especially in the bathroom. Even slippers are cold. The mattress was too soft for me, and the pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, but there was nothing to choose from.
The staff smiled through gritted teeth. It was my daughter's birthday, and they didn't even congratulate me. I don't even want to return to this hotel.

Above expectations

Hotel is in very good location, room is very clean but average size and the breakfast buffet is good. The hotel just 50m from famous shopping ISTIKAL STREET and the Burger King, Popey’s and McDonald is very close. Sishane metro station(M2 Line) just 200m from the hotel. Very easy to get to the hotel by metro from Istanbul airport and it cost only 80 lira(£1.50) per person. Taxi will cost around 3500 lira( including toll charge 600 lira). Better take dollars, euro or pounds will get good exchange rate at tourist areas( 1£=53 lira). People are friendly and helpful, and very clean city. Food is expensive but Burger King, McDonald’s and Popey’s are cheap compared to Europe. Public transport is cheap and easy to access.

We had an amazing stay at Mukarnas Pera Hotel! The rooms are spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean—honestly some of the best we've stayed in. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is fantastic, and the service is excellent.

One detail we really appreciated was the digital system for "Do Not Disturb" and "Tidy Up My Room"—a smart and convenient touch with lights outside the door. The security is top-notch, as access to our floor required a keycard. We felt very safe during our stay.

The location is stunning—you’re just a minute’s walk from the main street, yet the hotel is incredibly quiet. It's hard to believe you're in the heart of the city because you don’t hear any street noise at all.

And the breakfast? Absolutely beyond delicious! The selection was impressive, everything was fresh, and the breakfast staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help.

Outstanding Stay – Highly Recommended!

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel for six nights, and I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent service provided by the reception staff, especially Fatik and Yusuf. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable — from helping me with directions around Istanbul to assisting with room-related matters and ensuring I was connected to the internet. Their warm hospitality and willingness to help with anything I needed made a big difference.

The buffet breakfast was also fantastic, with a good variety and fresh options every morning. The housekeeping team was incredibly helpful and kept the room spotlessly clean throughout my stay. The room itself was super clean, comfortable, and nicely set up — I felt very much at home.

The location is absolutely perfect — everything you could need is right at your doorstep, from shops and cafes to transport and attractions.

I was extremely happy with my entire experience and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Istanbul and stay here.

We loved the strategic position, the comfortable and very clean room, the huge choice at breakfast and the polite and always present people at reception. Moreover the price was very convenient considering all aspects above. We’ll come back for sure!

All I can say it is 10/10 hotel. Great location, very clean, lovely service and hospitality, very nice breakfast and staff. Reception 24/7. The rooms are very clean and cozy. It was a pleasure to stay there, everything you need is just around the corner. 100% recommended
