There is a communication problem with the reception. There is always a strong smell of spicy food from the hotel entrance to the rooms. The shower heads in the rooms are broken, and the bathrooms have general problems. The location is quite good, but it still doesn't justify the price.

This was a last minute booking and following a weekend, we stayed here from 2nd to 5th October 2025. We booked 2 rooms 201/202 and with good luggage. Since this hotel doesn't have elevator carrying bags all the way to second floor was total nightmare. On check- in room 202 the light intensity was very poor, bare visibility, on request the bulb was changed next day. In room 201 we checked in with 3 persons, room size good, toilet door handle broken, hair dryer, charging station, T.V , none worked and none of these were repaired during stay. I could have rated this hotel terrible, but the only saviour was the shared kitchen were we cooked our breakfast, during our stay the manager Anmol and his team were really helpful. Right from helping with carrying luggage to giving kitchen and other required information. Spend extra bucks, but avoid Taksim Alya suites.

For the price, Taksim Alya Suites is pretty good. While there are steep stairs to navigate and the decor is a bit "meh," the location is great, which is a definite plus. I also really liked that there was an open kitchen available for anyone to use – a very convenient and thoughtful amenity.
However, the reason this review is getting only one star is solely because of the staff member working there. He was incredibly rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and inflexible. This individual's demeanor made my entire experience very unpleasant and significantly effected from my stay :(

I must say it’s a perfect place to stay in Istanbul for several days! It’s my second time here, the location is perfect, room were clean and big enough, internet is fast. And especially I want to say thanks to the personnel who is working there, very helpful, very polite, helping every time!!! Thanks a lot❤️❤️❤️

A hotel with an excellent value for money. The hotel is clean with a very convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from Taksim Square. We also really appreciated the shared kitchen concept, which helped us save money since fast food is very expensive in Istanbul. I would also like to thank Mr. Anmol, who works at the hotel. He is very polite and helpful, and he assisted us a lot during our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

everything was very clean and everything besides the vault worked. the location is close but not too close to public transport and everything in the area. its on a bit of a busy street and the sound insulation isnt very good so its a bit difficult to have a peaceful sleep before 2 am but that wasnt a problem for me because i mostly came in at around 3 to shower and sleep. i dont know about families but i would recommend to most people as i had a perfect stay.

When there one week is left before going to Istanbul, the hotel owners did not want to validate my credit card even though nothing is wrong with it. They did not answer my messages on WhatsApp. They did it purposefully so we pay more money on booking because time will squeeze us. They are not professionals. There are better hotels who accepted my reservation even without a credit card. Don't go to Alya, you will regret it!

I had an awesome staying in this suite room, I looked services team was so helpful, well equipped kitchen, the location is in the middle of all transportation and shopping center, with an affordable price in comparative with other places, the only issue for me that I have a special needs child so i fond stairs was uncomfortable for me

We reserved 2 rooms with may family for 10 nights, they gave us two rooms in the last floor, stairs have steep slope.
The mattress was dirty. The button of flash tank was broken.
The safety box dosn't work at all.
The shower was broken. I will not choose alya suites again.
The only positive thing was good location .

The good thing was that the hotel itself was very close to Taksim Square and the shopping street, and in general the room was quite clean. But, the facilities were quite disappointing, such as broken hair-dryer, one missing-leg table, and unable to hang the shower head. Also, the stairs to the your room was so steep to climb even more difficult with your heavy luggage. Plus, it was my first time to see that the hotel used the Head&Shoulders bottle to refill non-branded all-in-one shampoo and shower gel :)
