White Palace Old City Boutique Hotel in Istanbul

I stayed at this small boutique hotel with my wife for five nights in February for vacation. The hotel is run by Alper-san, who is very friendly and welcoming. The building is over 100 years old but has been beautifully renovated in recent years, so the facilities are modern and comfortable. There are only six rooms, which makes the atmosphere quiet and cozy.
The location is excellent. It is situated on a back street in Sultanahmet, within walking distance of major attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia. There are also many restaurants nearby.
The hotel is located right next to the U3(T6) railway line, and the pedestrian walkway along the tracks connects directly to the back of the hotel. If you are coming with heavy luggage and prefer not to take a taxi, I recommend getting off at Cankurtaran Station on the U3(T6) line. There are no steep slopes or cobblestones along this route, so access is quite easy.
We chose the breakfast plan, and the ham, cheese, olives, and other items were all very tasty.
We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Very good service. Rooms are spatious. We had a 2 person room. It was clean. Even if it is near the train line, the nois is not that bad. Host was amazing and recommend us the best places to visit and to eat. Highly recommend.

We've just returned from a beautiful stay in Istanbul. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the blue mosque and close to all the main attractions.
Our host Alper made our our stay. Such a helpful and kind host. Hi staff work tirelessly to make the hotel spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was a feast every morning with friendly smiles.

Arriving at the White Palace Boutique Hotel felt like stepping into a little world of its own. The owner greets you with a smile that instantly makes you feel at home, sharing stories about the city, recommending hidden gems, and genuinely seeming happy to have you there. It’s not just kindness—it’s the kind of hospitality that stays with you.
The location is incredible: central but quiet, perfect for exploring on foot without wasting time in traffic. The rooms? Comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, spotless, and with that elegant yet unpretentious touch that makes every guest feel special.

And the breakfast… wow! Not just a simple breakfast, but a real Turkish feast: cheeses, olives, homemade jams, pastries, fresh bread… every morning you wake up smiling, ready to start your day of adventure.
But what really lingers is the atmosphere: relaxed, warm, authentic. It doesn’t feel like a hotel—it feels like a little refuge run by someone who truly puts their heart into it. If you go there, be ready to feel cared for, discover new corners of the city, and want to come back as soon as possible. :-)

We spent a wonderful couple of days here at the end of December. I would like to highlight a few things about accommodation:
First of all, the hotel is close to most major attractions: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque about 10 minutes walk.
Grand Bazaar maximum 20-25 min walk. There are many restaurants nearby, our favourite, less popular restaurant was also a 10 min walk. Shops, supermarkets are also a few minutes walk from the hotel.
The second point is the cleanliness of the room. Perfect cleanliness, attention to every little detail, high five to the staff.
The third, and most important point, is Alper, who works tirelessly day and night to keep his guests happy. Thank you for your work and help, the White Palace Hotel would not be the same without you.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location to explore Istanbul. Just across the road to Haliç metro station, walking distance to Eminönü, Blue Mosque, Galata bridge, Karaköy, Galataport. A few tram stations to Balat and a very good metro connection to Sabiha Gökcen Airport.

The management, receptionists and breakfast lady are extraordinary friendly and service oriented. Breakfast has a good variety. Only minor minus is that the hot food is not kept warm, but that was said to be changed. The roof-top terrace has an unpayable view. Just prepare your plate and take it upstairs.

Sounds like a 5-star unpayable hotel in Istanbul, right. It’s definitely not!!! We had a double-room for 2, clean wardrobe, working fridge. Yeah the neighbourhood looks a bit lost, empty buildings that need to be renovated, but it’s safe and we 2 women travelling felt comfortable coming in late night.

The metro is very near-by and you may hear the train. It didn’t disturb us actually. Just saying

Very special place, i loved walking around the hotel, very near from restaurants and yet quite so its a great place to run away from Istanbul’s crowd and noise

Excellent service. The hotel manager is very friendly. The rooms are very clean and it is a beautiful hotel located in a beautiful area with lovely restaurants. Only 15 minutes walk to a view of the Bosphorous

Love this old historic 100 years old building, renovated from inside, very nice, safe walking area , awesome hotel owner who goes above and beyond to help with anything you need. Reservations, suggestions or directions. He will even give you his personal phone number if you need any assistance or help while you are enjoying your trip in wonderful Istanbul.
