To be fair, I'd like to point out that this is a very budget-friendly hotel, and if you're looking for a cheap stay in a good location near Istiklal, this is the place for you. Below are the subjective pros and cons:

Pros:
- Location
- Spacious room
- Price (we stayed for about $90 for three nights)
- Comfortable bed, clean linens
- Smart TV, good hairdryer, refrigerator
- Gorgeous large balcony
- Pleasant receptionist

Cons:
- A beautiful balcony is a dump! Why do this 🤯
- Cold room
- Steep stairs, difficult to climb, but that's not really a negative, more of a warning.
- Dirty, poorly cleaned. Upon check-in, crumbs were found on the furniture, and the mirror was completely smudged.
- Broken shower door, difficult to close.
- The room itself was very tired, but that can be overlooked given the price.
- We encountered rudeness from the owner.
(We contacted the hotel via chat well in advance to check if we could leave our bags early in the morning. We arrived at a certain time and let them know, but no one opened the door. We walked around with heavy bags for about an hour and a half, until the owner finally opened the door and very nervously, almost aggressively, tried to prove to us that all hotels in the world check guests in at 2 p.m. (For a second, we didn't ask to be checked in, we asked to leave our bags). We ended up leaving our bags, but it felt unpleasant to be yelled at.)
