Garden Asmin Otel & Spa in Mersin

It’s hard to properly rate this hotel. It is old and dysfunctional. The shower was cold. There was no top sheet on the bed - just a very old polyester cover (Turkish style?). I used a large towel which they had left me . The breakfast is basic. I paid more for a room here (32euros) then I have in new three star hotels in top foreign resorts. But everything in this part of Turkey is expensive… at least for foreigners. It’s weird because it’s the most ugly run down locals tourist area. Bad beaches etc. so this was the best I could find for the price. The manger was very nice. My advice. Don’t go to this area unless you are passing through, and if so, hurry

Don't even think about staying at this hotel; it's filthy. The elevators were broken the day we arrived, and the power kept going on and off. As for the rooms, the beds were full of trash, the sheets had yellow stains, and the towels were the same. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the toilet seats weren't secure and were dirty, and the faucet was broken. The pool wasn't like the photos they sent us; it was tiny. Don't have high expectations. We realized we would have problems the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, after one incident, I didn't feel like staying any longer. Instead of staying for three nights, we left after one. Also, it's impossible to sleep at night because of the noise; vehicles, especially trucks, honk their horns even at night. I recommend reading the reviews of those who have gone before me. I've sworn never to stay here again.

You can find bottles, salt shakers, chocolate containers, glasses, soda caps, whatever you want under the bed, there's hair everywhere. The bathroom lock is broken. As for the food, there's one type of cheese for breakfast. If you can get eggs, you can't add any more. There's nothing else, it's the same every day. I hope the kids don't get sick when we get home. That's my biggest fear. I've visited so many hotels in the Aegean region, but this is the first time my wife and I have seen one this bad. He said because it's not the season and in other words we shouldn't whine. Very rude arrogant man (never experienced this anywhere else). We were tired and the man was very rude, because we gave the credit card he immediately debited money, we could not ask for money back and leave. Internet does not work in the room: no desire to fix internet on floor 2. No tea and bread as promised in the morning, in short, nothing for too high a price and therefore worthless. The rooms are cleaned every three days. The seats in the rooms are very dirty. The bathroom is terrible, there is mold everywhere. The breakfast is standard, eggs every day, nothing else. Dinner is only 2 courses, unfortunately it is tasteless. Hygiene is zero. There is no noise on the main road. Even tea and water are for money. A cup of tea costs 10 liras and is not drunk as it is poison. If you want to be disgraced with your money, you can go.

Even though we had booked a room for 4 people, they gave us a room for 3 people. The elevator button for the 2nd floor is faulty. They didn't take note of the 1000 lira bill when checking in. If you don't show the receipt, the man won't believe it.
