Leda Beach Hotel in Side

🌍
Manavgat, Side
● Center: 810 m
🌞 Beach - 2 min

Excellent location near both the beach and ancient ruins, with many guests praising the convenience of walking to historic sites and the beach within minutes. Friendly and helpful staff mentioned in multiple reviews, with particular appreciation for the housekeeping and restaurant teams. The hotel garden and pool area provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, with some guests enjoying the nearby hamman and massage services. Breakfast and food offerings receive mixed but generally positive feedback, with several guests highlighting the variety and taste of breakfast options. Unique charm noted in the traditional cabin-style rooms with balconies or patios, some overlooking lemon trees and the courtyard. Several guests pointed out extra charges for basic amenities such as WiFi, air conditioning, heating, and in-room safes, which are not included in the room rate. Room quality varies considerably, with some reporting poor maintenance issues such as mold, noise from thin walls, and unclean conditions including ants and flies. Complaints about the hotel’s check-in experience, including unfriendly reception staff and slow service, were noted. The hotel’s beach sunbed policy and lifeguard behavior were criticized for being unfair and making it difficult to secure sunbeds without reserving towels overnight. Some reviewers found the food quality inconsistent, with complaints about recycled ingredients and limited variety, especially at dinner. Accessibility issues due to many stairs and uneven terrain may present difficulties for guests with mobility problems.

Description

Leda Beach Hotel is a modest two-star property constructed in 1999 and renovated in 2012, offering 62 rooms arranged in a complex of buildings with a traditional architectural style that blends with the ancient ruins of Side. The hotel features a restaurant serving buffet meals, a bar, and an outdoor pool. Families will find several children’s facilities including a playground, a kids’ pool, cribs, and babysitting services. While the hotel is set in a quiet area surrounded by greenery and archaeological sites, it stands on the second line from a public sandy beach just 150 meters away, where sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee. Guests can also enjoy on-site massage services. The hotel provides practical amenities such as free bike rental, free parking, WiFi (for an extra charge), and 24-hour reception. Note that pets and service animals are not allowed, and additional fees apply for some services like air conditioning, heating, and in-room safes.

Location

Located in Side, the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the local shopping center and approximately 53 km from Antalya Airport. It sits in the historic part of the town, surrounded by ancient ruins and close to the boulevard offering views from the restaurant. The public sandy beach is 150 meters away, providing direct access to the Mediterranean Sea. The old town center and prominent archaeological sites are roughly a 5 to 10-minute walk from the hotel, making it convenient for visitors interested in cultural sightseeing. A small market and local transport stops are also within short walking distance.

Tips

  • Bring your own beach towels or be prepared to reserve sunbeds early, as guests report the lifeguard enforces towel reservations strictly.
  • Budget for extra charges for WiFi, air conditioning, and safety deposit boxes, as these are not included in the room rate.
  • If you have mobility issues, request a ground-floor or easily accessible room since the hotel has many stairs and uneven paths.

Location is as perfect as it gets. Beach at one end and Side's architecture at the other all within a minutes walking distance. The rooms are basic but clean and definitely value for money. The garden atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. There is a pool, sun loungers and an Hamman on site together with a bar - restaurant that serve a delicious breakfast and although I did eat at night The Turkish night looked spectacular. A hotel that I will return to, hopefully soon. Thank you all the staff who make this hotel so special

Apparently nicely designed hotel: Several rooms are situated as if on a picturesque street. The hotel is located on the boulevard with a beautiful view from the restaurant. Additional costs: Very surly welcome upon arrival. Over the past five years, I've stayed in approximately 250 accommodations, and this is the first time I've had to pay extra for Wi-Fi (€10 per week per person) and air conditioning/heating (€45 per week!!!). The in-room safe also costs €40 per week. We soon discovered that almost everything requires an extra charge: only tea and water are free with breakfast; juice easily costs €3 to €4 per glass. At dinner, all drinks are at the guests' expense. Restaurant: In our seven-day stay, we had two reasonably decent dinners there, although they weren't great either. The other five days were absolutely scandalous: bland food, often lukewarm (stacked warming trays), and ingredients that were "recycled" for several days. There's also a leak near the food court, which was mentioned months ago in a previous review by another guest. Regarding hot dishes, the selection almost always consisted of one type; however, the salad bar was quite extensive, though the quality wasn't great. Rooms: Decent enough, although the condition was poor. The housekeeper was very friendly, but she's not very good at sweeping/mopping the floor and hasn't done anything under the beds for months. Despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door, the cleaning team enters the room unannounced. Note: the vast majority of rooms are poorly located (views of a roof, clutter that hasn't been cleaned up, dark hallways, etc.), and you don't know which room you'll get in advance. If you want a more decent view on-site, it will cost you a fortune. Conclusion: It's actually quite simple: this is truly one of the worst accommodations I've ever stayed in, and it's also relatively expensive and poorly maintained. I'll definitely never return: it's clear their sole purpose is to rip off guests. I understand that to some extent, but at the same time, you want to give your guests a pleasant experience: one thing doesn't necessarily have to be the other. This hotel does. A hopeless hotel and clearly not worth a visit.

Hotel is built in a traditional style to blend in with the surroundings of ancient Side. Bear in mind there are lots of steps, if you have walking issues, and there are lots of cats too. Rooms are cabin style, really cosy and comfortable with patio or balcony. Not much privacy though as patios are open plan. Decor inside is lovelly, flat screen TV, hairdryer and a small fridge. Breakfast is amazing. Huge choice including freshly cooked eggs. Lovelly indoor or outdoor seating area overlooking the ruins. Location is the best in Side. 5 minutes from the old town and ruins, 10 minutes to big supermarkets and dolmus stop for Manvagat. To the back of the hotel is the beach. Hotel has a small section with sunbeds provided. Great place to watch the sunset. You have to pay for WiFi. I paid €14 for 10 days, but it does reach the rooms. A lovelly hotel, small, friendly and super relaxing. Would definitely come back.

Loved the hotel food was excellent plenty choice the staff was friendly although the maid entered our room trying to sell us something the one thing that let it down was the life guard on the beach he said who could lie on those beds near the sea put his towels on and chose who could have them also the towels of a lot of visitors were left overnight so it was hard to get a sun bed when I walked along the promenade all the other hotels the towels were not left on the beds overnight so I think this should be addressed we all pay to stay in the hotel so should be fair and not be dictated by one man so for me he spoilt my experience x

Really nice hotel. Had a lot of fun it is in the lovely town of Side. Staff are lovely can't wait to return. The beach is right outside the hotel. Short walk to the bus stop. Market very close and the price was responsible. I would give this hotel a 9 out of 10. I will be returning in September,

I've stayed twice at this hotel, first with my family in September 24 and solo in March 25. I like the hotel and most of the staff are lovely, also a great location. ***However *** please be aware that if you are handed an envelope from a tour company called Holiday Experts at the hotel. On the envelope it advises you to meet the rep to confirm your flight back. During this meeting they will try & sell you vastly inflated trips and not provide refunds if your trip is cancelled due to poor weather or you wish to cancel if you are unwell. I was scammed over £200 for a trip to Kappadocia, and the air balloon was not flying due to terrible weather. I was advised my money would be refunded to my card 2 months ago. Needless to say I haven't received a penny, the rep is not responding to my messages and I am now liaising with my bank in a dispute with this company. (When I complained to holiday provider, Love Holidays) they said they have no affiliation with this rogue company operating from Leda Beach. So whilst the hotel itself nice, please be aware of scammers operating from there. The whole thing has really put me off going again.... which is a shame because the location is ideal & the hotel is reasonably priced......

I guess because of time of year not everything was open.

Excellent location, though there is a carpark, there are accessibility issues due to the police by the security entrance around the historic side. No one to blame at the hotel
The place is wonderfully located for the beach and historic town. The people very kind

Ideal location, rooms unless you upgrade when you get there are like rabbit hutches, when you do upgrade there not much better. Food awful no choice for English unless you like salad or boiled eggs, pizza was nice only holiday where l lost weight had to eat out most of time. If you like entertainment don't bother there is nowt. Own beach but you have to keep a towel on sunbed for the whole holiday or you won't get one. Never again.
