Reviews
The staff were great, friendly and always available to help if needed!
Rooms were basic but its a place to sleep and that's it for us, we spent most the holiday out and about, didnt use the pool but it always seemed busy around the pool side.
Would definitely go back!
The rep for the excursions needs to look into the horse riding that they offer, the horses arent in good shape and its not a good look for the hotel or the company offering excursions.
I hope the hotel looks into this as the horse's are skin n bone, no water or food between treks or anything.
I trust you would look into this please, if you look into their recent reviews you will see what i mean.
Right from the beginning, my stay started on an uncomfortable note. At reception, I was immediately asked where my husband was. As a single mother, I found this question intrusive and completely irrelevant to my holiday, and it left me with the feeling that I was not a respected guest.
This uncomfortable feeling was made much worse by a shocking incident at the pool. During a foam party, my four-year-old daughter wanted to join in. Having forgotten her swimsuit, she went in nude, which was completely obscured by the thick layer of foam. While I understand and respect hotel rules, the way I was confronted about this was deeply offensive. Another German-Turkish guest approached me with the absurd accusation that my child's nudity would sexually arouse other men. She also falsely accused me of drinking alcohol and told me I should "go back to my country" if I couldn't respect the rules. It was particularly hypocritical and insulting given that she herself was standing there half-naked in a bikini while making these demands. I was shocked by such xenophobic remarks. Although the pool staff later informed me of the official pool rules, which I respected, it didn't change the feeling of discrimination. The fact that such personal and insulting attacks were not prevented is unacceptable to me.
In addition to this, my overall impression was soured by the tours we booked. I felt that the primary goal was to constantly pressure us to spend money, rather than to showcase the beauty of the culture and landscape I was so eager to experience. I felt reduced to a mere financial transaction, which made it impossible to relax and enjoy the country's rich heritage.
These incidents unfortunately had a very negative impact on our vacation. A country I was open to and interested in was presented to me in a way that made me feel unwelcomed, disrespected, and exploited. Respectful treatment of guests should be the highest priority. I cannot recommend your hotel and, because of these experiences, will not be traveling to Turkey again.
Loud in the evening, seems to be frequented by large family/friends groups who were quite unruly at times.
We had a large room whilst the was ok it did have faults- mainly dirty fridge bathroom cooker hob curtains. Would not recommend and wouldn’t revisit.
Staff very nice and did feel sorry at time for bar staff due to attitude of other holiday makers.
Good: Nice location to walk everywhere and local shops nearby for cheap food and drinks.
Breakfast is decent but did see some mouldy bread one time. Unsure what some of the options are as there are no signs.
The female receptionist is helpful and the younger male who is usually doing the breakfast or around the pool area.
Did not get much help from the older man and more of hello and bye ordeal.
Cats around if you like them. This can be good to bad but I'm a cat person.
Bad:
Pay for WiFi in the room (£1 a day) even though it says we have free WiFi which seems to be only available in the reception area.
Mosque nearby so it can be loud due to the prayer calls. I didn't mind this but some people may.
Music is played from around 10am till 12am and for some reason they do not turn the music down later in the evening so when you're trying to sleep around 10pm you can still hear the music playing loudly. Would be better if it was turned off at 10pm or at least turned down as it doesn't need to be so loud. Understandable if it's a weekend or they have little events but this is everyday.
Having to pay for Aircon £45 for the week. We thought this was included in our booking but it was not which it should be and same as WiFi.
Stay here again? Probably not. Only because my brother said they found a different hotel which was £10 a day that Included WiFi and Aircon.
So felt like we're over paying for our stay with the all inclusive we went for. I did not use the pool at all but my partner said it was nice.
Book excursions and things yourself through searching google and do not book through Omar as he overcharges and seems to leave you on read.
Only use shops that are priced with labels for food drinks gifts etc.
We arrived very late (2am) and were very tired.
We knew we had to pay for aircondition/wifi/safe separate but didn't realise it was cash only. They told us we could pay the next day but luckily we'd withdrawn lira at the airport.Despite knowing about the air con it does sour the checking in process having to spend a chunk of money on arrival. I have a good idea why they do it this way but that's another story...
Our room was clean but smelled like cigarette smoke, the fridge didn't work and the shower flooded the bathroom until I had unclogged the hair inside the drain filter. We woke up unhappy and this would have been a 1 star review if not for the helpful staff.
We complained and were promptly offered another room:
-This room didn't smell
-The fridge was so good it turned our drinks into slushy-The shower was miles better.
-The view from the 4th floor is fantastic with the flowers reaching to the top of the balcony.
- The air con works and gets the room properly cold. It does rattle quite a bit but you can take the front panel off and DIY it a bit with bits of paper. Totally quiet afterwards!
- great location with dolmus buses going into the old town but also directly to Nova Mall and also to Manavgat.
- The pool was ALWAYS clean, even at the end of the day. Lots of discarded pool inflatables you can use that are left by previous guests. We don't reserve Sun beds but we were always able to get one even if we arrived back at the hotel at 3pm.
- all the staff are friendly!
- the shop and bar have decent prices. Not as good as the many local supermarkets but definitely worth it for the convenience factor.
- The hotel is not in one of the main tourist strips which made the area much nicer to walk around. We had plenty of opportunities to visit actual real Turkish shops.
- The hotel transfer bus goes to a lovely clean sandy beach which has drinks service.
- Lots of cats to cuddle! None jumped up on the tables. Very well behaved.
- If I had a choice I would not eat breakfast here.
Restaurants:
I would recommend Via Restaurant for a great cheap eat. Sky Safran for decent meat and fantastic service and La Spezia Bistro for good food all round.
Everyone has been gushing about how friendly and helpful the staff are but that's not my experience. The only person that offered anything other than a morose attitude or an inefficient/inept service was a blonde haired lady on reception, who's name I didn't get. The manager I found abrupt and rude and there was a old guy on reception who was just impossible to deal with and tried to charge me for the previous day's bill even though it had been paid. Took 2 days to resolve and no apology received.
It seems the sort of place that unless you are a regular returnee, they really are not interested in you.
We ordered food at the bar several times, which failed to materialise, the few meals we did order and receive took so long to arrive that we'd almost forgotten they'd been ordered!!
Rooms were ok, bathrooms recently refurbished to a good standard but huge design issue with the shower door in my room (316) which meant the bathroom floor flooded every time I showered 🤦
Pool area was nice enough though the sunbed situation was farcical 😂 there's a sign saying not to reserve sunbeds before 8am. So....instead idiotic people reserved the floor space for their sunbeds by sitting on their towels on the floor😂😂😂
There is a complimentary bus that takes you to Coppa beach which I found much more relaxing. However, the bus is always full and the last one often left Coppa beach before the advertised 4.30 time.
Plenty to do in the area, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and there's a market each Saturday practically opposite there hotel.
Nice enough hotel for what I paid but definitely won't be revisiting.
The a/c, however, is worth every penny and works a treat even on the hottest days. Locally, there are plenty of supermarkets, cheaper type food places, Kebab shops and the requisit "British style" bars with the usual types watching football and eating Sunday roasts.. With a little looking, though, there are some good local food places, still catering mostly for tourists.
There is a free bus twice daily to a beach if that's your thing or a quick taxi or hour ish walk gets you to the harbour with loads of ancient monuments and some excellent food places.
