The hotel is very good, but the bartender (older, without hair, glasses at night shift 17-18.12.) should definitely lose his job. He's incredibly unfriendly; I've never encountered such an unfriendly person in my life a 5-star hotel. He was extremely unhappy that he had to work there at night. I've stayed in at least 50 different five-star hotels, but I've never experienced a bartender like this in my life. Fire this guy immediately.

My room made a poor first impression in that it was outside-noise loud(!), and the receptionist mitakenly told me (in English, which probably created the miscommunication) that nothing could be done about the noise.

However, the good news was that the noise did turn off around 11PM (10 PM on some nights). But, why play music loudly late at night?

The gym is nice, and would be nicer if it were open 24-hours (it's 7-9). The spa could be amazing, but the chlorine is strong.

The breakfast is quite good, and the staff is A+.

I had an excellent stay at the Grand Hotel Lviv. I was going to post photos, but quite honestly, the photos on the website and those put up by management here are pretty accurate. I stayed in a suite with a very comfortable couch, and an even more comfortable bed (in a separate room). Incredibly spacious. Bathroom is well-appointed (complete with a bidet!) -- shower only, no bathtub. What made the stay truly excellent was the great efforts of the team at the Grand Hotel. I want to specially praise Yana, the administrator at the front desk, who not only accommodated my change in plans, but also helped me make alternative transport arrangements when my return travel to Poland fell through. The bar staff is also excellent. Maksym, Vlad, and one other bartender whose name I unfortunately can't remember -- all of them provided truly stellar service throughout my stay. (The lobby bar also has an excellent selection of liquors.) The level of service offered by the Grand Hotel Lviv is of the highest caliber, and I would gladly return here again.

Can't say enough about our visit to Lwow and our stay at the Grand Hotel. We were there for three nights and had a suite which was very economical after currency conversion. Hotel is indeed grand, staff friendly and helpful, and the city was beautiful and vibrant, despite the current war with Russia. If not for that, we would have stayed a few more days, as we explored the city, Ternopil, Skalat and ancestry locations.

Grand indeed! We had the Superior Double and it was very spacious, with a fantastic view on the Oldtown and the monuments. Excellently equipment, nicely furnished, relatively quiet, very comfortable bed, mini bar and a nice bathroom, everything you need for a perfect stay. Everything looks new, nice and the service in all areas is great. We loved the Spa, which you should definitely visit. Special thanks to the doorman and the Ladies who keep everything in order at the Spa, as well as Housekeeping.
Safe space in lower level, if needed. Well, it is all you can wish for.

Commons : the hotel looks very nice from outside as from inside. The bar is also equipped with a whisky and cigar zone, which is rare enough to be noticed ! The casino is accessible with the room lift, which makes it easy to go.

Room : got superior room at the 7th floor. View was nice and bed was good. You have the traditional bottles of water. Sound isolation is not the best I experienced for a 5 star hotel.

In the bathroom, the experience was a bit disappointing. Sink was a bit broken, and the water of shower was not very hot. Cleaning products were in big bottles like in any other hotel, which is a bit sad for a 5 star hotel. I like having small amenities kit with quality products.

Spa : this is the big plus here. I was impressed by the size of the underground spa. The swimming pool is big enough, there are different jaccuzis, and 4 or 5 different rooms with variation of sauna and hamam. There is even a « hay room ».

Overall experience : it’s a good hotel, just not the best 5 stars you can get.

My friend and I had a girls weekend, we chose the Grand Hotel. Since the advantage of the hotel is a wonderful spa, which is included in the price of accommodation. Wonderful breakfasts, wonderful staff, charming atmosphere, very cool Very cool aroma in the hotel and in the spa itself (if it is not difficult, tell me what kind of aroma diffuser you use). All the saunas were working, there were few people, we were given super comfortable flip flops for the spa. This is not the first time in a hotel and I am sure that if in Lviv - only to you ❤️ We were delighted and had a great rest. Thank you for your hospitality.

The hotel is of a very high standard with very helpful and friendly staff, we stayed in April and had a suite overlooking the square, the spa facilities are great and so many amazing restaurants around the hotel. I also had a massage and spent quite a bit of time with the family in the relaxing spa facilities.

Loved the Hotel, the staff, the location. Had a great time and can’t wait to go back. The room was amazing and the location is very central. We could walk to the opera and the restaurants. The bar and bartenders were outstanding. The price was very reasonable as well. The room was fun: decorated in “dictator chic.” I felt just like an oligarch!
