Hotel in the center of Birmingham. Close to Birmingham New Street station. Cleanliness could be improved. Staff were kind. Excellent location.

appalling pressure emails to check in on line - which I ignored- cheerful efficient receptionist booked me in despite emails received a day or so before indicating that not checking in on line might cause difficulties. still only one lift working (seems a long term problem). allocated room on 5 th floor - corridors well carpeted, clean, and rather posh! room clearly upgraded and very nice with posh bathroom, huge tv which was easy to negotiate, kettle & lots of t, coffee & milk - appreciated. efficient heating, comfortable bed but only one pillow & no spare. took 7 minutes to reach reception in the morning as only one (very slow) lift. fabulous vfm, but they need to get lift sorted permanently & stop threatening that not checking in on line could cause difficulties! - actually recommended!

It. Was an average stay for one night but better than our last stay, bit noisy as out front new street, but was okay for a night's stay. Would come back if needed too. Due to price and close to train station

Stayed for 2 nights. Second night my elderly mother and aunt had water coming through their ceiling. They called reception who advised them to come down to reception. The water was so bad they had to change rooms at 01:00 in the morning. What kind of a hotel has 2 seventy plus ladies come down to the reception at 01:00 in the morning. To make it worse we complained verbally and through email and have been ignore which shows customer service is not their focus

The access panel in the bathroom had fallen off and wouldn't go back and stay in place. Some stains on the walls and overall very tired looking. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location.

I had a really pleasant stay at Britannia Hotel Birmingham New Street. The room was spacious, tidy, and very clean, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The hotel’s central location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station, shops, and restaurants, making it very convenient for both leisure and business trips.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. It was just abit noisy because my room is next to the street where there is a christmas market , but the room was well maintained.

Overall, it was a great experience — excellent value for money, clean rooms, and a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Birmingham.

Good location and super close to the station. 
Room was clean though the curtains weren’t wide enough for the windows so did not block the outside signage light from coming into the room. 
The bathroom was modern with a great rainfall and handheld shower. 
For a 1 night stay overnight it was suitable.

It's a good choice if you want thr budgetarian hotel for short stay and leave during day time because you have nothing can do in that hotel. Sheets, blanket, pillows are pearly white clean but surprisingly no complimentary water, and incomplete toiletries. Only soap. Room is good anyway even if you're just alone.

Receptionist was helpful but the room service staff will knock at your door during your checkout like there's fire.

It is located near everywhere. Still good deal.

Apparently under a new franchise - they have upped the prices and sized down the portions. A "double meat" salad is now measured the same as the original single portion, and the portion control pots are no longer used. The staff do not listen to what you request and repeatedly get your orders wrong. Use another subway.
