Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at the Aztec Hotel in Bristol, and we honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly, which set the tone for the entire visit.
The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable — the bed in particular was amazing and guaranteed a great night’s sleep. It felt like the perfect mix of modern luxury and cosy relaxation, ideal for a couple’s getaway.
The spa and leisure facilities were a real highlight. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and calm, making it easy to fully switch off and unwind together.
Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and high-quality food, and the restaurant and bar areas had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Every interaction with staff, whether at reception or in the restaurant, was attentive and warm without ever being intrusive.
Overall, the Aztec Hotel made our stay one to remember. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the service and the experience. We left feeling refreshed, well looked after, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommended for couples looking for comfort, relaxation, and a touch of luxury.

Had a great spa day today. Highlight was 50min back massage and facial with Lauren, she listened carefully in the consultation, it was so relaxing and I felt like a new person after. Thank you! Spa facilities were good with a pool, jacuzzi which runs every 10 minutes, sauna and steam room. We were given towels, slippers and cozy robes and there were healthy snacks, smoothies, hot drinks, coffees and even suki tea in the large relaxation room. We had a tasty 2 course lunch from a set menu. I enjoyed the French onion soup and fish finger sandwich and chips. Everything was nearby and you could go to lunch at the bar in your gowns and slippers. Also parking is free for spa customers! Looking forward to my next visit!

The hotel was lovely. We loved the dining room where we had a yummy breakfast the next day. The room was really nice though they gave us 2 singles instead of a king bed which is what I had requested. Also, the heating was not working in our room and they could not move us to another one because the hotel was full. The pool and jacuzzi were nice too. Overall it was a nice trip away to a nice location but the room was cold which was a bit sad. They gave us a radiator but it wasn't the same. Other than that, I'd return another time to experience a room where the heating is actually working!

More of a business hotel. Good location if you are in the area but not much nearby.
Not very good service with regard to indirect booking and price not reflective of the value offered.

First night was terrible, staff didn't seem interested at all, told me it was what I paid for! If it was then the descriptions on the choices were not all that clear. The next day we felt heard, we changed rooms, our experience was so much better. Just a shame about the first night.

Whole establishment is clean & well presented. Staff are absolutely lovely, spa was beautiful. Will be returning - big thank you to Ellie on reception. She was beyond helpful and lovely

Excellent hotel. Cheaper than Filton Premier inn but far superior in every way. Comfortable room and bed, great shower. Friendly welcome and all staff seemed to enjoy working there, or at least were highly professional. Excellent overall.

Booked an overnight stay at the Aztec Hotel and Spa whilst visiting family in Bristol. Very handy location right by the motorway in from London and ample parking which is free for guests on weekends. Staff were friendly and helpful and check in process was smooth and efficient. I booked one of the signature rooms which was a really good size with a double bed with fitted storage, a desk, curved sofa and wall mounted flat screen TV. Large wardrobe with robes to use in the Spa as well as a Lavazza coffee machine and a modern bathroom with a nice powerful shower. The restaurant was busy at dinner but luckily we booked a table in advance. The food was fantastic, had charred corn ribs and chicken liver parfait for starters, salmon and beef blade for mains and chocolate ganache and cheesecake for pudding. Polite and attentive staff and they had a live singer performing which was a lovely touch. The bar area was nice and cozy with a good selection of drinks and plenty of seating as well as a lovely hot roasting open fire. Beautiful building with lots of character and high ceilings. Spent the morning in the spa which opens at 7am and was very nice and relaxing, particularly the steam room. The hot tub was closed on the day for maintenance which was a shame. Had a bizarre experience at breakfast where they seemed to run out of tables at around 8.30am so there were about 10 people hanging around the bar area but thankfully didn’t have to wait too long before being seated and the breakfast spread was very good with a selection of pastries, breads, jams, fresh fruit and yogurts and cereals as well as cooked breakfast and fresh fruit juices. Very nice coffee from the machines too. Overall a very enjoyable experience even if for just a day and would recommend for a short break if visiting Bristol or for bigger functions as they also have suites for larger events.

This centrally located hotel is excellent. It is clean and modern with plenty of options for eating. We had the superior double which had a sofa seating area and this was designed to feel separated from the bed area. We found this lovely as we were there for a few days and it meant that we were not confined to sit on the bed all the time to be comfortable. The room had a fridge and the free dispenser for milk in the hallway was such an excellent service that really made our stay comfortable. There was also a coffee maker in the room and pods available from reception if we used up the ones already there (my husband really likes his coffee!!). All the staff were friendly and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble. I would say that my only frustration is that parking is extra (it's not like we have an option of parking anywhere else!).

Location wise it is no more than 10 minutes from Cribbs Causeway for shopping with a huge John Lewis and lots of places to eat. The Aviation museum is also close by and well worth a visit too.

We visit Bristol frequently and will definitely make this our first choice of accommodation.
