Lovely hotel! The standard double bedroom is quite small but we knew that from other reviews. The bathroom was finished to a really high standard and in a great location.

We had our wedding registry in Bristol and it was the perfect place to get ready. The staff were amazing and so helpful to us! Stan in particular, he was an absolute star to us and all the other staff, you were exemplary. I am so sorry if I didn't know your names but all the staff we encountered were amazing, approachable and helpful. I can't fault the staff.

The conference rooms were decent enough. The lounge was quite cosy and bar staff decent. I will say however that some of the rooms were very cold - maybe due to old/original windows in the rooms - even though there were insulation screens too. I called reception as the climate control didn't seem like it gave hot air - just A/C. The night staff man tried his best but in the end just gave me a heater.
I would stay again. The rooms were modern and quite fresh and funky (if cold) in design. Clean. Nice bed. Good venue.

Staff very nice and very good. Room recently refurbished, not my taste but was clean and looked new. Bed was uncomfortable, far too springy and not conducive to a good nights sleep for me. Pressure in shower in bathroom too low. Had dinner in restaurant, food was good, but table in booth was off centre, very tight one side, fine the other. Very handy location in centre of city with own car park.

Modern remodel of an old hotel mixes the best and worst parts of an old hotel with an injection of life. Lots of modern amenities with a little old charm of you look hard. Room service was spectacular. Huge variation in the rooms, one had an incredible bathroom and the other had an old bathroom with a dirty peeling facelift. Excellent location cannot be beaten, parking makes this hotel a must for a quick Bristol visit. Ill be coming back soon and I'll update my review then.

Absolutely VILE customer service! 16 of us supposed to be coming for a hen do this weekend and obviously we couldn't get there because of the snow. HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEWS??????? No public transport, roads are extremely dangerous. You are compromising the safety of your guests! Do you not know compassion? We were even willing to pay a bit more to change our dates. We are so upset and frustrated with the way we have been treated, just because of something that is completely out of our hands. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to stay here.

The room was very comfortable, although the heating was a little temperamental and didn't always work when we wanted it to. The robes provided were soft and warm. Didn't try the spa, however. The hotel bar was very good. It uses honey, produced by its own bees, in various dishes and I tried their Keepers cocktail which uses this honey and it was delicious - I would highly recommend it. The breakfast spread was excellent and the food was always well prepared and tasty. We also had our Valentine's dinner in the bar/restaurant and were very impressed by the menu, surprised it wasn't more expensive for what we were served and the large portions given. Overall, the room was okay but the bar/restaurant was excellent.
