Lovely grounds. Nice staff. Great breakfast, lots of choice, good coffee. Rooms are okay. Bed firm. Bathroom needs updating! Had problems with our shower.

A safe and minibar would be useful. Part of the window in room 501 didn't close properly. The breakfast was excellent, and the free parking was perfect.

Wow! Where do I even start? After a stressful time in the bus and getting wrong directions from the hire car GPS being out of date, arriving at this place made everything worthwhile. The location is quite remote and quiet, and the surroundings are not convenient. It is best to drive there. The restaurant is OK, and the service is average.

Grubby carpet, squeaky cheap bed, poor pillows, bad shower water pressure. ******* room lighting design that only allows all lights on or off, no reading lights. Refused late checkout despite requesting at booking time.

The receptionist was very helpful and check-in was easy. We were in the Beringer room which is large with a great bathroom. Unfortunately the air-con/heating unit was broken and not heating the room. However there was an oil radiator in the room. We also couldn't call reception directly due to the lack of a phone, so had to call the main number from a mobile. Lovely building, the old sugar house in the city centre. Bedrooms are large. Restaurant is spacious, French cuisine, very tasty and not cheap! (as you would expect).

This hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop from which the University of Bristol, the Bristol Bus and Coach Station, and Temple Meads station are easily accessible. I appreciated the detox water with lemon slices that they offer in the lobby. The room is quite small, and the lights are dim. However, it is comfy enough for a few days in the city.

The hotel was perfectly situated across the road from the train station and within easy walking distance of the town centre. We were checked in by Amber, who was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and the buffet provided was plentiful. Definitely would stay again!

Opposite Temple meads station on the main ain road, there is parking but be careful as the entrance is immediately at the end of the building and is not obvious. Night staff were very accommodating and helped with bags. Breakfast was included and set us up for the day.

Really good stay. Nice to have the option of two single beds in a twin room. Excellent size bathroom. Room clean. Nice location for Temple Meads, about 20 mins walk to the centre of Bristol. Good breakfast the next day.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and tidy. However we arrived for breakfast which was included and why we booked this hotel to find that the chef had called in sick so there was only a basic continental breakfast . The staff were unhelpful and slow at breakfast . My husband had an orange for breakfast and I had a piece of toast !! Not what we paid for .

Lovely room: quiet, spacious, mini fridge with milk and biscuits, all appreciated.  Shower with mould is what lets it down, re-grout and the room would be perfect!

POSITIVES: Perfect location, friendly staff, rooms were clean and modern with biscuits, tea/coffee and mini bar. Very comfortable soft bed. NEGATIVES: Both the room and bed were quite small and cramped and fan in the bathroom wasn’t very powerful

Parking needs to advertised as limited and street parking. as we found priority was given to people visiting the hotel and not guests staying.

Rooms 3 and 4 at the front of the building are extremely loud - lorries passing all through the night. Bathrooms in need of maintenance with smelly drains, poor shower and broken plug. Food and staff excellent though so if you're not bothered by road noise worth a stay.

Amazing room, very well decorated and everything thought of, comfortable stay and will return and recommend. Not far from Bristol airport so an ideal stopover if planning a trip from the airport . Nice en-suite, tv, tea coffee facilities, radio and very comfy bed

Great food with gluten free iptions - available all day. Lovely spacious room and bathroom and staff were most welcoming and helpful. The only downside was road noise - our room was roadside and we stayed saturday night. Maybe it would be quieter mid week tho i dont know. Otherwise a great inn.

Great little stopover for the evening before our flight to Malta. Great accommodation, great location only 10 minutes from Bristol airport and great food. Also had a little walk about the area during the evening.

Nice spacious room as the photos showed, staff were friendly but busy. Car parking was an issue I specifically booked a place with parking but it was difficult to find and not clear in the instructions before hand. That’s the only real point I have everything else was as I expected thank you.

Overall great stay, the toilets are the showering area was separate, lights sometimes turn off when it can’t detect you inside, but good size rooms, service was good, remember to bring a padlock.

Stayed here with friends after a night out in Bristol. Dan and the whole team were great. So accommodating to everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and breakfast in the morning was excellent. Really lovely staff. Perfect location.

Good property for one or two nights. Tv did not work in room although staff resolved this immediately.

The room had two single beds (old) and a WC/shower room (this unheated and remained wet during the 4-day stay. Continental breakfast which included a variety of items (sliced cheese packet mould green). Parking available and good WIFI reception. Road noise not an issue. Depending on weather, would be more appreciative if not a winter stay. Hosts very nice and welcoming.

Absolutely lovely building , cosy and fresh . The breakfast is continental but you can have a hot breakfast on request at an extra charge . The owners are very pleasant nothing is to much trouble for them and there is ample parking. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable clean and warm and the bed was to die for . Nice view of the countryside and would thoroughly recommend .

I felt at home in the b&b and liked that you could get your own breakfast and there were facilities such as a microwave should you need it. It was very convenient that it was so close to Glenside university as well. The host was very welcoming and helpful.

I stayed here for 3 nights for a work trip to Bristol. It’s easy to get to and the room was very clean. Breakfast is basically help yourself from the fridge, toast, cereals and yoghurts, which was perfect for me. I stupidly left all my chargers plugged in and she very kindly sent them back to me. I left on a Friday and they were back by Monday, which was a very kind gesture.

Well, this was an odd stay. Check in was confusing; apparently we should have received a text message and email with codes to access the hotel and room. The lady at the reception desk was able to provide us with the codes but this process was a bit of palaver and involved having my phone’s text message inbox scrutinised, which I have to admit made me feel a little uncomfortable. Conveniently located close to the centre Warm welcome and fast check-in. Unfortunately very noisy overnight with bars behind noisily emptying glass in yo bins, people talking loudly, street sweeping in the early hours. I stayed here for 1 night as 1 adult with a shared bathroom. I don't understand these nasty reviews that people have left. All I expect is clean and comfortable. Some people just enjoy trying to ruin someones business. I was greeted with a smile and I had a nice little room to myself, filled with a kettle, mini fridge, tea, coffee, little plastic milks and biscuits, iron and board, mini fan, heater...

basic accommodation - guess you getting what you are paying for. No Car parking. road next to it is permit parking only Mon - Sat and other street on other side is pay to park but only for 3 hours between 9am and 5pm Mon - Sat then you have to move it. Nothing really local and had to get Uber or Taxi to get anywhere. Shower in shared bathrooms not very powerful and third bed in room was a old sofa...

This hotel was fabulous!! Staff was friendly and parking was in a secure parking building/ramp! Very walkable to all areas near the University of Bristol!

I had a very pleasant stay at the Berkeley Square Hotel in Bristol. The location is excellent—quiet and leafy, yet only a short walk from the city centre, the university, and Clifton. It’s ideal if you want to be close to everything without being right in the middle of the noise.

Secure covered Parking available in the square for guests at a price. Breakfast excellent, and really comfy bed and nice touches in room (biscuits, fruit etc). Only downside was lift out of order so hauling a large suitcase up 3 flights of stairs not ideal. Lovely warm welcoming staff.

Staff was kind, location was great. I had a room in their smaller secondary building and I didn't know the hotel didn’t have a lift so carrying all my bags up flights of stairs wasn't much fun... but everything else was great!
