Rooms were quite dated and materials were extremely cheap (stick on plastic nightstand tops, fraying closet material). Serious lack of toiletries (one bathroom had no soap at all and shampoo and soap were all in one, no moisturiser).
Showers and bathtub are extremely slippery. I pulled a back muscle sliding in the shower and in our stay last week my daughter got a mild concussion (had to call for a doctor) slipping despite using the bathmat. In our second stay the AC was not working in our room at all. We advised the staff in the evening when we were back in our room but it was too late for them to fix it. Two nights of bad rest. Upon both check outs staff offered minor platitudes but nothing else for our troubles (lack of AC for two nights and concussion.)
The level of service (friendly but not particularly concerned), state of the room, materials and bare minimum amenities does not meet 5 star standards. Personally I think it’s closer to 3.5.
Location is excellent though and quiet but safe.

Didn't have breakfast here. Room too warm and a bit on the small side.
Air con Didn't work efficiently enough.
Room felt a little outdated and the marbled stickers on the tables made it feel cheap. Loud music from the hotel next door Didn't help either.

Fantastic staff, fantastic food. Only thing i would recommend would be a fridge in the room, especially for the summer but other than that a fantastic hotel.

Fabulous boutique hotel steps away from the Natural History Museum and the V&A. Clean, comfortable, well appropriated. Hot water!

Kind and friendly staff. Great quiet location with good access to all areas of London from nearby South Kensington Station. Comfortable room.

We were put on the top floor, floor 4. Paid for the bigger suite as-well.
Elevators were broke the whole 2 night, 3 day trip. The stairs are very steep and tiring to go up and down from and we are pretty healthy in our early 30’s.
Also tried calling for room service on our first night but no answer after about 8 attempts. I went down to order & collect the room service myself and carried it all back up myself.
Room was pretty decent, not the comfiest bed, pillows were hard, scuffs and marks on the walls.
Really didn’t feel it deserved the 5* rating, I expected more.
Positive side, great location.

The hotel felt small and cramped, and the room facilities were outdated.
20.12.2025 Florian
A very average hotel, tasteless plastic decoration in the lobby, all day long signage for cleaning was outside the entrance - though nobody was seen cleaning.
No services provided, rooms are tiny.
18.12.2025 Chris
The room, although small, was clean and I was impressed by how much was provided including dressing gowns and slippers. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely boutique hotel in an amazing location! Friendly staff, nice bar, and very unique styling in rooms and throughout the hotel.

Very nice staff and great food! I can with my son in a pram and they did the outmost to accommodate us. 5 stars definitly deserved and the food is very good, authentic and well priced for the quality you get.

Amazing food! Very tasty and authentic. Staff did struggle to keep up with the busy restaurant but the quality of food more than made up for it. Highly recommend the pizza and definitely have a look at the desserts!

Great food. The staff was hospitable and friendly. Best pizza dough I’ve had in a long time.

Pizza are good but the staff who served us was slow, not welcoming and dismissive... we had to beg to get water, the dessert menu and the bill... They need to be far more caring and professionals.

Very busy restaurant with most tables appear to be occupied. Tapas served to table as and when ready. Food looked and tasted good. Waiting staff are kept on their feet and seem very keen to get orders quickly and happy to answer questions. Empty dishes were removed often so waiting staff were being observant and attentive. Worth a visit.

We stumbled across this place looking for a quick lunch after spending the morning at the museum. It was a really nice refreshing restuarant, with a great buzz. The tapas was amazing and the beer on tap was the perfect pairing for the food.

It's a little pricey but its a nice little treat, or a great place with a group of friends. Will definitly go back.

Only downside was the service was a little slow but if your not watching the clock, you might as well enjoy tapas the way its meant to be!

Casa Brindisa South Kensington is the second location of the traditional Spanish restaurant chain, located meters from South Kensington underground station on Exhibition Road. Tapas are the main dish, with plates such as cod, Catalan spinach, marmitako, chorizo a la sidra, and tortilla alongside daily specials and seasonal specials. The interior of the restaurant is rustic and laid out in a traditional order, offering twelve outside tables. Having visited on a Saturday evening the place was buzzing. The service was very good and attentive. The food was to standard although there octopus was fresh and served on a bed of mash potatoes. Recommended for those seeking a tasty bite around South Kensington. However there are better Spanish restaurants in London.

Fabulous restaurant for tapas and Spanish cuisine. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for! Lovely staff

One of the best. Unpretentious. Just a shame that a little overpriced. A set menu would turn this place into dynamite because they know how to cook, well.
