I arrived at London Heathrow on a late flight. From there, I took the Heathrow Express directly to Paddington Station, followed by about a 15-minute walk to the hotel (or just a single Tube stop)
Great location. Great service. Rooms very comfortable however bathrooms are very outdated.
good facilities, and friendly service. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.
The hotel boasts a very central location with excellent transport links
You can find better 4* hotels in third world countries for a fraction of the price. I paid over £162 for a night for this awful hotel. Mostly occupied by arabs from the gulf, who dont care what they get and pay for
The London Metropole Hotel exceeded my expectations during my recent stay. The location is excellent, situated near major attractions and public transport, making it easy to explore the city

I booked this hotel for New Year's Eve, and the room had a beautiful view of the fireworks 🎆. The location is excellent; as soon as you step out, you can see Big Ben~
One side stocked with items for purchase the other empty allowing u to store essentials like beer
The room's location is excellent, and the view is great.
One of my favourite hotels in London. Brilliant location for Big Ben, London eye etc. great room and facilities like gym and pool. Great stay
The facilities are a bit dated, but the room itself was very large and spacious. The hotel breakfast was also quite good. Mobile self-check-in is available, so you don't need to go to the front desk
Also, make sure to lock your door securely and consider propping something against it, as someone tried to open my door by pulling the handle past 5 AM, which was quite alarming

I paid a higher price for my booking. On Monday, March 23, 2026, in the morning, I went to request a room change, and the reception told me to pack my bags and leave them there, and to pick up the key card in the evening
After a while, reception called room 2084 to say the door was fixed, but when I tried to open room 2085, it still wouldn't open. I had to go down to reception a third time. Importantly, they never answered the phone
After an hour and a half, we still couldn't get into our room, and my wife started getting frustrated. Finally, reception told me to move from room 2085 to room 2069. I felt room 2069 was smaller than room 2085
On this third occasion, I asked reception to come up to my room, but it was the same problem; they couldn't open the door with their key card either. I had to go down with reception a fourth time
Attended for an interview/appraisal in their meeting rooms. Very helpful staff who helped me print something last minute! Delicious food set out whilst waiting... Would love to stay here as a guest.
I checked in on March 20, 2026, and received key cards for rooms 2084 and 2085. I went out and returned around 6 PM. Neither key card for room 2085 worked

The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean and it was a fantastic location. I booked here at the last minute and it was great.
Especially, I enjoyed the friendly service of Kyuhee Han. She took care of us with a bright smile throughout our breakfast. It was a hotel full of good memories
There was nothing negative to say here, everything was wonderful ranging from check-in to how clean the room was.
The hotel reception was very welcoming and the man at the desk was lovely. The room itself was very clean, however there were many signs of wear (around the doors and walls, on the taps and switches)
This is a well placed hotel mid way down Upper Street so excellent for Islington. I stayed 2 nights and had two rooms which were both excellent. one with a bath and one with a shower
I stayed this hotel last Friday. This hotel is conveniently located for travelers, as it's near Angel Station. It offers excellent service and a wonderful breakfast
Such a beautiful old world hotel. Fabulous reception, everything you could need. Big rooms well
Laid out and feels like a much more expensive hotel
Ideal location a few mins walk from station but tucked in a side street so no street noise. Love staying here - feels like a treat!
Great hotel to stay in for being very close in central London easy to get too great price and overall amazing stay
We had a club room, which offers a great view and a happy hour. The breakfast was good, it had many options
Nice location, under 1 min away from High Street Kensington station. The reception and lobby outstanding. Room outdated , furniture and bed, pillows very basic, dated. Air con very old, noisy and not efficient
Was delighted with the room. Basic but adequate, clean, comfortable beds, had a good night's sleep, check out wS easy, just put key cards in a box.
Breakfast 10.00 exelent value for money

Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect location in central London everything is close by.
The room was very comfortable, exactly what you need after a very busy day sightseeing and shopping. The extra cost of the executive suite with access to the Amba Lounge was well worth it
They need to replace the carpet and fix the glass beside the bath tub which is a big hazard for anyone but the whole bed space was perfect for families with multiple children
Very happy with my stay—excellent, top-notch service.
Great location — just off Oxford Street and only a short 3-minute walk to Marble Arch Station, which made getting around so easy. My Queen Room was a comfortable size, though the view wasn’t much to look at
Great hotel
Great location
Clean room
Highly recommended
The view left a lot to be desired, but to be honest, we weren't there to sit and look out the window! The room was small, but it didn't cause issues at all and had everything you'd expect/need from a hotel
The location is fantastic, with the Angel Light right outside the window. They even have thoughtful touches like complimentary water bottle refills available at the elevator.
The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to many attractions, and the room was decent. However, check-in time is in the afternoon, so if you arrive early, you'll have to store your luggage first
Great hotel in an unbeatable central location. Clean, comfortable rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend Strand Palace.
The breakfast the next morning was brilliant with a wide choice of food options. The hotel is situated within walking distance to Covent Garden and Leicester Square, which was perfect for us
Also, we had booked a twin room, but the hotel kept trying to give us a single room. We had to decline multiple times before they finally gave up

The view and location is great! The only thing that it could be better is the food. I ordered room service breakfast but the food seems to be too cold when it reaches to our room.
Perfect stay! Super comfy rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and incredible views. Would love to stay again soon!
The room was really spacious, a big plus! The pool isn't huge, but it's perfect for adults to just relax, and it was great for the two kids to splash around in
Gin and lemonade with a wine £37 in restaurant (pretty pricey) One of our bedside tables had a crack in probably 12inches long. Dirty piles of towels alongside plates that was left in corridors for over 8hrs
I came here for a business conference. It was an excellent venue for the conference. The rooms were very nice but small (typical for Europe though)
The concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful, which definitely added to the positive experience

The location is perfect, this is just underground station outside the hotel within 5 minutes walk, so convenient for us to walk around in london. However, the room is abit small but its expected since its LONDON righttt
Absolutely perfect reception service. They let me chick in was 1pm. Very flexible. And convenient. Kind warm .permission to late chick out at 1pm.
Didn't really make use of the pool or the spa, it would have been nice if this was included in the price. The door men were very helpful offering to help us with our bags etc
Fantastic stay. Great location, clean room, good facilities and even a little treat in our room for my husband’s birthday!
Fantastic experience! The pool and sauna were amazing.

Breakfast was very good with lots of selection Room was clean Wifi was good and free Plenty of lifts to get to rooms Area in lobby to buy snacks and toiletries Good room service menu Able to leave bag after check out
The room was spacious, bright, and clean – very good! The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. Highly recommend!
Since this was our last stop and we'd been eating English breakfast for over ten days, we weren't particularly excited by it. Although the variety was the same, the quality of the breakfast at this hotel was very high
Hotel rooms in the UK are generally small, but this room size was quite good. Even with the sofa bed open, there was still enough space to open luggage and move around. The hotel breakfast was typical English fare
However, it's right next to Hammersmith, a major tube and bus hub, making getting around very convenient. Because of its location, the price is also more attractive compared to hotels in the core area
As a price-sensitive customer, I chose this hotel because of the significantly higher prices for similar quality in the city center. Overall, I feel it was a very good choice

The features that particularly impressed us were the fast-responding elevators, the large, plush bathroom towels and the very generous breakfast choices
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past three years. I asked for Shattaf as usual but when rooms with Shattaf were fully booked (Christmas time), they upgraded my room at no charge at all
It was well stocked with amenities. However the sheets had lots of lint. We had to call the staff to help with water. Every time we came back to the hotel, they were welcoming and attentive to our needs
The team were friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming, and they made our anniversary feel so special by upgrading our room – a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for an exquisite experience
Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff went the extra mile at every opportunity. 10/10 – we would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait to return
The location is perfect to our getting around to tourist spots. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Overall it is a great place to stay in London

Minor point but the pillows and duvet didn’t feel like the usual Hilton ones, they seemed thicker…
Overall, it was clean, relatively quiet and had great service which is all that’s really needed, but it felt more of a budget hotel with Hilton price tag
Checked in to hilton 3 times this trip and was attended to by a Mr H**** at this hotel. Comparatively speaking, check in this time wasn't great. Didn't feel welcomed at all.
The air conditioning was on but it was weak. Thankfully the window opened slightly but it remained warm in the room. Bathroom was dated, quite small and felt cheap
I do think they are doing everything they can to make stays as good as possible, since they can’t really do anything about the room sizes
Excellent location, near Westfield shopping mall and Shepherd Bush train station.
Very convenient location
Very close to the tower bridge tube station, that makes it a very convenient place to stay if you want to navigate around the city. Lots of near by touristy stuff to do as well
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, cozy, and felt very welcoming. The location was convenient, and everything we needed was nearby. Highly recommended!
The room was spotless, and breakfast was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly; a special shout-out to the front desk for the complimentary cookies! This truly is the best hotel I've stayed at in London
Excellent! I'd definitely come back next time! The hotel's location is great and feels very safe. The breakfast was really good (much better than English breakfast!), and all the staff were super friendly
Brilliant location, a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station. Check in was great, very friendly and chatty concierge and a warm cookie as a welcome! Rooms were a good size, shower is lovely
The location is excellent, in a quiet and safe neighborhood, and it's super convenient for getting around, being just a four-minute walk from the metro station

Booking a one-bedroom suite with kids was absolutely fantastic, especially with the sea view. The breakfast and pool were big hits with the little ones
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, day or night, and perfect for photos. The hotel offers express check-out. The £100 deposit taken at check-in will be refunded to your card after any room charges have been deducted
Strangely in the morning the shortcut to the O2 doesn't open til 10 am because the O2 isn't open until 10 am meaning you have to walk all the way round the O2 to get to the car parks, glad it wasn't raining!
The rooms need to be renovated to live up to the luxurous standards that most guests get experience from other interContinental Hotel locations around the globe- particularly in Asia
Breakfast was very slow when ordering from the menu though, it only had 4 dishes yet 25 mins after ordering we had to cancel as we ran out of time to eat it before we had to leave
The location and the breakfast buffet was the highlight. In terms of quality of the rooms to price ratio, it could be a lot better
Fantastic stay, comfy beds and amazing facilities in room. Would love to return one day
Was an issue at check in with my reservation which they finally sorted after an hour. Perfect location right opposite Lambeth North station as well. Breakfast could have been better with more variety for a 4 star hotel
Spa was okay shame pool was so cold! Not sure I’d stay again would depend on the price! Staff seemed really nice. Not any amenities in the room
For a hotel of this caliber, I was surprised by a few things:
• In-room essentials: There was no shower gel provided, and the tea/coffee station was very sparse (there was barely any sugar)
Nice and enjoyable experience. Would recommend to friends if they visit London
• Missing extras: There were no gowns or slippers (sliders) available, which took away from the "hotel feel. "
• Communication issues: This was the biggest drawback

The hotel is very close to the Jubilee Line (grey line), and several bus lines stop right outside, offering convenient routes to Victoria Station, from where you can catch a direct train to Gatwick Airport
Good location in london. Easy walk to Hyde Park and easy walk to shopping. Many good food and restaurants around here. Hotel staff very friendly. Will come back again
The Ritz Hotel, renowned for having one of London's finest afternoon teas, is just a 7-8 minute walk away, perfect for a treat. Oxford Street and Regent Street are also easily accessible for shopping
The property has a long history and, although it has been renovated, there were several comfort issues. The central air conditioning was extremely noisy, and the windows did not insulate well against the cold or wind
The hotel is conveniently located right at Hyde Park Corner, with Buckingham Palace and Harrods both about a 15-minute walk away
It's also quite close to other famous attractions like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. Other than the price being a bit high, everything else was perfect
London, 30 John Islip Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map

The hotel's overall decor was really nice, but the room was still so small! London's prices are just incredibly high – it's a city where every square inch costs a fortune. There was absolutely no value for money
Great location, close to the London Eye and Big Ben. There's also a small supermarket and a good Korean restaurant nearby. The hotel is generally clean and tidy, though the hallways are a bit narrow
1) didnt know how to drain the sink completely of water 2) the gym is meh but the view makes up for it! Mostly cardio-oriented like most hotel gyms but is above average for a typical hotel gym i would say
Everything else is pretty good, and toothbrushes are provided too
All their rooms are basically the same, very good design well thought out with the user at the heart. I would genuinely happily live in an apartment of a similiar size as the design is so clever
There's a water dispenser in the hotel hallway, which is convenient for getting water, and a supermarket a few hundred meters away where you can buy daily necessities and bottled water. The surrounding area is quiet

I went to London during the Spring Festival holiday and stayed at this hotel for 12 days. During that time, I got warm - hearted service from Mia, a girl from Hong Kong, and there was also a girl from Malaysia
We had a slight issue with the smell of smoke in the room on arrival, but another room was sorted out very quickly,
Great service from the front desk, and a small cake in the room to celebrate our birthdays
They were both very attentive. Everyone at the hotel is super friendly. The triple - room is quite spacious and clean. There's a heated rack in the bathroom that can meet your need to dry clothes
It's next to Hyde Park, and the environment there is awesome. It's very convenient to take the subway or bus to anywhere. I'm gonna stay here again next time
I truly appreciate how the front desk helped us by early checking us in although that was prior to the normal check in time
The room was small, but this is London! The location is fantastic, right next to Hyde Park

The amenities are truly 4-5 star range, beautiful hotel, great service & located in the heart of London, close to two tube stations and a bus stop right out front
Had a great time in sheperd dorsett as it is very near to the westfield shoping center and easy to find good food nearby
Parked nearby hotel, and the hotel is a great location for access to all parts of London, by tube and bus. No need to drive. Very helpful and friendly staff at reception
Maybe the hotel hardware is a bit worn out, but it seems like they are overhauling things - the shower was new. For exploring West London or getting to Heathrow, we'd return without doubt
The location is perfect if you have rented a car for further trip to outside london as there is a big shopping mall - Westfield nearby which provides thousands of car parking space with reasonable rate

Also felt the pool sauna etc are far too small for the size of the hotel. It got very busy very quick, men being excessively loud and couples in the hot tub. It wasn't very relaxing unfortunately
AMAZING STAY! WOULD BOOK AGAIN AND RECOMMEND. Came with family for a birthday weekend trip. Location is excellent- basically in the heart of London with breathtaking views of St Paul’s Cathedral
The hotel itself was outstanding - scaly considering its 4 stars. It’s more like 5 to be honest. Free water on site and in rooms, which is extremely helpful. The hotel is very spacious, modern and beautifully designed
The rooms were very spacious with the BEST shower! There is even a hair dryer and iron provided in the rooms. Spa facilities was amazing- lovely sauna, steam room and jacuzzi
It’s was convenient as I was on a work trip. Staff was welcoming and the whole experience was great. Room was clean which is always a plus
After taking the Gatwick train into the city, it's about a 7-8 minute walk to the hotel. Paul's Cathedral is right outside the door, and there are plenty of dining options nearby
