Perfect stay! Super comfy rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and incredible views. Would love to stay again soon!

The room was really spacious, a big plus! The pool isn't huge, but it's perfect for adults to just relax, and it was great for the two kids to splash around in. The concierge was incredibly friendly and helpful, which definitely added to the positive experience.

Overall verdict: We didn’t have any housekeeping until morning we were due to checkout even though we had our cleaning light on for 24hrs. Seemed to be limited in staff other than down at reception. Gin and lemonade with a wine £37 in restaurant (pretty pricey) One of our bedside tables had a crack in probably 12inches long. Dirty piles of towels alongside plates that was left in corridors for over 8hrs. Our fridge had a massive spill of some sort of liquid that had been there for a while. There’s a before and after picture of dust in cupboard above our fridge 😷 The coffee machine had water left in from where if had been washed out or not cleaned from previous use made it smell of moody stagnant water. Otherwise the stay was quiet, the beds were nice big and very comfortable. Hand wash etc smelt amazing plenty provided. Quick response when we phoned reception for more tea and coffee. Overall the stay was ok, we both thought it had gone downhill since we last stayed and probably take our custom elsewhere. Not all bad but can get better for similar value

This was the best value-for-money hotel stay I've had in London, out of many. The location is truly fantastic; it's so convenient to get anywhere. Right by the River Thames, it's a short walk to Big Ben, the London Eye, and even the recently renovated Battersea Power Station. What's more, the hotel's service and environment are significantly better than other hotels in the same star rating. Highly recommended!

This is a nice hotel for a short trip at London especially during this Christmas time. It is very convenient to Soho for shopping, dinning and sightseeing. The hotel is facing a main road and the riverbank of Thames lets me feel relax and safe.

The best hotels in London.

We booked an "Executive Double Room with River View" with a double bed. Initially, the hotel reception made a mistake and assigned us a room with two single beds. Later, the hotel assigned us another room with river view. The view was very beautiful. We could see Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and London Eye, and there was a big sky, which was pleasing to the eyes. In addition, there was a bus stop near the hotel, which was very convenient. This was a very good London travel experience.

We enjoyed a delicious meal in the up stairs room with a great view of the river. The service was good. If you get a chance take a look at the photography on the walls of the city when the building was new.

I like the Sunday lunch they do here. nice aromatic gravy with good size portions. The draft beer choice I find limited, but I do look for IPA's

This place has a great location, right in front of the river, but apparently the room upstairs with the view can only be used for events.
The food was good enough, we felt lucky to find a place serving food after 9pm around the area on. Sunday.
But the service was simply terrible! It took about 20 minutes for them to come get our orders, even though there were only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant (and three staff members around). They would simply not look at us at all! If we were not so hungry, we for sure would have left.
For that reason, I cannot recommend this place. It is unfortunate, because the ambiance is great, the place is cozy and I loved the traditional decor.

A great local, old style pub but the a modern twist on the food as it is all up to date and really good value for money. A very casual place which is what we were looking for so no need to get dressed up. A great selection of draft beer too.

The bar is not so bad. The choise of the offered beers is really bad. But the thing why I can‘t rate with more than one star is the boss who is the unfriedliest man i‘ve ever seen. The bar was closed two hours earlier than regular because he was tired. Before that we wanted to watch a game on tv that was „over since a long time“ in his mind. After a little discussion he turned the game on and - surprise - it was still going. (Btw at this time all tvs were off, so there was nothing different, that was more important to show). Furthermore he wanted to take a beer away of our neighbour table, which was half filled.
Btw the bar is not that German, and really expensive.
29.11.2017 Chris
If you love German beers on tap and amazing wurst, this is your place. Highly recommend the sausage platter which offers 3 different kinds of wurst (your choice), sauerkraut, mash and chips.... delicious!! Plus it's very reasonably priced at only £13.

Very nice selection of German beers and ok German food. Personally not a big fan of the emphasis on Bundesliga & Co. I avoid going on match days but the people who go seem to love it.
06.11.2017 Benjamin
The Old fashioned traditional decor is authentic and the food is german as is the beer. It is nice to have German fare in London.

The only issue is the way the pub is run and the service level, the last time we booked as a group it was for the DFB Pokal final, we booked for 80 persons and ten tables and it was confirmed by the manager Juergen by email.

When we arrived half an hour before the game however we were in for a bad surprise not some but ALL the tables had been given away to other customers. As our group were taking part in a pre booked activity which included the match and we had paid for food and drinks tokens for our group we very surprised and disappointed to have nowhere to sit, some of the group even were unable to enter the bar because there was no space as all the tables had been given away.

What was worse when we approached Juergen Mannel the owner to try to get help for the group on the day he was unhelpful and he raised his voice several times and was quite aggressive which did not lead to any resolution but made things worse. The group were not helped on the day.

A follow up email with a complaint then resulted in no resolution instead he simply wrote back banning the organiser of our group from the pub. He did not even try to discuss the matter from that point but just sent confrontational replies to any correspondence leaving us feeling unable to get any solution.

Our group felt incredibly badly treated by missing the match and our agreed reserved tables being given away especially on a cup final like DFB Pokal final which our team was playing in - such an occasion for our team!

Although the pub decor is traditional and the fare is german which is nice to have in London the ultimately unreliable and unprofessional way our group were treated and the subsequent confrontational manner and inequitable ban of our group organiser means we sadly could not recommend the Zeitgeist pub.

Unfortunately the quality of the food changed for the worse in the last couple of months. I hate sending back food but the last time the Käsespätzle almost had no cheese on,I had to send it back. The food is not cheap for a pub, the food selection is great, beers are amazing, just would be great to get the old food quality back...

I really love this branch- it's always fairly quiet and the staff are really great

This is really close to Tate Britain. Nearest Tube would be Pimlico. Food is nice, so is the service. Recommend wine is just about average, I would chose my own next time around. This place is not too busy and not noisy, so you can actually have a conversation. Paid about £80 for two which included a bottle of merlot.
02.12.2017 Johann
This could have been a 4 or at a push even a 5 star rating. Food was good, restaurant is really nice and spacious even when 75% full, and most of the staff is really nice and accommodating. Unfortunately we started our evening with being served by a young man with black hair and glasses. A wannabe actor with an attitude problem who “punishes” people waving at him for service by telling them he is on his way and then does everything but turn up. Once we swapped his majesty for a real waiter, everything was fine.
18.11.2017 Pauline
Not too noisy despite high ceilings. Friendly staff. Good food.
