I would like to share feedback regarding my recent stay at your Ibis hotel in Manchester — incidents which I believe deserve your attention and corrective action.
• Upon arrival, a staff member kindly offered to take my bag and store it in the luggage room. I waited to receive a claim ticket proving it was my bag. Unfortunately, that staff member never returned, and I was left waiting alone without any information.
• A few minutes later, I asked one of your colleagues at reception where I could buy cigarettes nearby. His answer was simply: “I’m not the right person to ask.” Given that such queries are typically handled at reception, I would have expected a more professional and helpful response, such as: “Let me check with a colleague.”
• Later, when I returned to retrieve my bag, the same staff member refused to give it back, stating I did not have the ticket. He walked away. Another colleague also asked for the ticket. I had to describe and prove that it was indeed my bag — only to find out eventually that the ticket had been attached directly to the bag. This resulted in a loss of nearly half an hour of my time just to recover my luggage.
• Finally, when I got to my room, there was no remote control for the TV.

I travel frequently and stay at many hotels worldwide. This is the first time I have encountered such a sequence of service failures and lack of coordination in such a short period of time.

I am not writing this to complain for the sake of complaining, but rather to draw your attention to these weaknesses so that you may address them and improve the guest experience at your properties.

Very central location next to Chinatown of Manchester, less than 20 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station so very convenient. Not much amenities but room is basic and clean. Front desk was very polite and friendly when checking in

The location was great, room was very clean, comfortable and the pod ensuite bathroom provided a great shower and good facilities. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast at the very near sister hotel (Novotel) offered great choice although quite busy and a little slow to replenish food items. Very good value breakfast though!

A real hotel experience!
We stayed 5 nice for yhe mathces of Man Citi
An exceptionally high rating for a 3-star hotel.
The hotel staff provides outstanding service — I haven’t encountered such great service in a long time!
Perfect central location, very clean.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a young and pleasant design both in the lobby and in the rooms.
Breakfast is varied and tasty.
Ibis Portland — I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

The room was a bit small, but quite clean.

We thought we had booked into the very good Ibis at 2 Portland St which we had been to before, but on arrival found it had been sold to someone else, and ours was now half a mile down the road. The staff at 96 weren't particularly interested. I had requested, in advance, lactose-free milk (not soya, oat or anything like that) for breakfast. The staff on the desk said "Sorry, we don't do that". At No 2 they had gone to Tesco Express round the cornet especially to get some - that's good customer service.
Breakfast was actually at the Novotel hotel next door. The restaurant manager there was very apologetic, but no one had told him about the request. He did everything he could to help, and all the staff there were good. The buffet breakfast was what you normally get, no better, no worse.
Other than that the room was clean, if a bit snug, and the bed was very comfortable.
But Ibis may have lost our custom in a very crowded market of competitors.

Very enjoyable experience! The room was cozy and nice and the location quite central. Nicole welcomed us at the reception desk and she was super friendly, helpful and polite! She told us whatever we needed to know and managed to provide early check-in after a quick registration. Highly recommended!

Excellent location within easy walking distance to most city centre sights, restaurants, museums etc. Well stocked breakfast buffet in sister hotel next door though I think food also served on site. All staff were friendly and helpful, room had everything necessary for a short stay, recommended!

Very hard to find. Not sign posted. Parking is terrible £13.70 for 2 & half hours. It’s done at different amounts per hour. Hotel it’s self once inside very nice. Staff lovely. Due to where it is & car parking wouldn’t stay again

the hotel is quite good value for 2 people. City center which is close to the oxford train station. Walking distance to China Town and Manchester City. Clean and quiet place to stay

Nice clean Subway with efficient friendly staff. I popped in for a breakfast and the £2.50 deal for a bacon cheese and egg sandwich with a drink is good value and tasty.

Not the nicest looking branch, but staff were extra friendly with our kids, which made ordering less stressful!

Good hospitality.
Reasonably priced drinks.
Readily accessible for theatres -Bridgewater, Palace and Opera house.
Good shows but far too expensive the drinks at all three theatres and pubs nearby.
12.12.2017 Abizer
Good as a English bar. More of contemporary e flush and with young crowd. Wide range of drinks and good food. It’s a great place for college friends to hang out.
05.12.2017 Pete
Large pub with plenty of seating good atmosphere, food served is typical weatherspoons menu as in you know what to expect.

Food quality decent and choice of real ales on draft and bottled.
Gets busy on Saturdays with it being in the town centre
03.12.2017 Matt
The steak club serves up steaks that are on point, better quality than more expensive rival pub chain restaurants, hands down the best tasting steaks I've eaten (and I've paid over £25 for a steak that wasn't as tasty as this). The burgers are always great and the prices are very good. The Paramount does get busy after the offices spill out at 5pm but normally you can find a seat unless there is a number of events on around Town.

Great beer. Food better than average. Can get busy
