It's not very convenient if you're just sightseeing.

The room was comfortable: It was larger than I expected, clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were a very practical design.

Almost everything was perfect. The hotel's surroundings were actually quite nice, although there were a few homeless people and some advice against going out at night, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. However, this didn't diminish my appreciation for the hotel, and I would choose it again next time. The room was very comfortable, like a top-tier hotel in China, and cleanliness was not a concern. Breakfast was served in the Marriott lobby and was decent, including my favorite Mexican breakfast. Los Angeles is a Chinese city, so food is plentiful. I recommend Dongtingxian in San Gabriel, authentic Hunan cuisine, especially the perilla fish soup, which is a soup you can drink, not a spicy broth.

The hotel is very private. Because I gave a little tip, I was directly upgraded to the largest room type. It is really big. It usually costs more than 2,000 US dollars a night. The view is also amazing.

While I typically enjoy my stays at Ritz Carlton properties, my experience at the LA location fell short of expectations. Despite proactively arranging for an early check-in to surprise my fiancée for our anniversary, the execution was lacking. Despite being informed that a room would be ready, delays in check-in caused us to miss our lunch reservation. Furthermore, the service at the lobby restaurant was slow and the drink order was incorrect. The mix-up continued with the wrong dish being served. Despite assurances of late checkout for our spa appointment and promises to rectify the situation, the billing discrepancies persisted, and the promised dining credit refund has yet to materialize even after 10 days. Overall, this experience was a disappointment, especially considering the price and my loyalty to the brand. Additionally, it was disheartening to receive only a generic apology from the hotel and guest relations, with no follow-up to ensure the issue was resolved. Given that the JW Marriott is connected and was half the price, I would recommend booking there instead to avoid the disappointment experienced at the Ritz Carlton. I regret using my points for this stay and will explore other options in the future.

Great place to relax. Very Busy on Laker Game day but the service was not compromised. The Fennel Chicken salad needed more champagne vinaigrette. The ambiance is gorgeous and relaxing.

Absolute worst experience at a Ritz. Ordered room service at 8:20 said 30 mins. 45 mins pass, we call, they say food is on the way. 20 mins and still nothing. Call again. Say they will call back in 5 mins. No one calls. Call again tell them I have children to feed. Doesn’t matter. My husband goes to the front desk. No help. The guy working was actually rude. No restaurants or food places open. Call room service again. They say their manger is working on it and will call us back. 15 mins no call. Call again. They say they are trying to figure it out. This goes on for two and a half hours. No help, no offer to send other food in the meantime, nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. So much for taking care of their customers.

The lounge and rooms here are great! Staff are ready to assist in any way, and the food & drinks provided at the lounge are a nice way to start or end the day. The view and location is always nice, and I’m happy to visit with family.

So I have mixed reviews about staying here. Everything was fine. Service was fine, the hotel very clean. Minus the nail in our room that wasn’t removed for 2 days. It’s close to everything you would need; for LA it’s 20 minutes in an Uber to almost any place. However; being attached to the Marriott, everything happens at the Marriott. Drinks, breakfast and your Uber won’t be able to find you unless you’re at the Marriott. Love the location as your right beside the arena, convention center and numerous restaurants. So the hotel is fine, but you could also just stay at the Marriott.
