The room we got is so cozy. We felt like home during our stay. the staff at the front desk was also nice. We can stop by there and request for a bottle of water. Amenities were fully equipped.

Staffs are very friendly but the hotel is quite rundown though location is very good

Overall I was satisfied.
I was able to walk to the beach and supermarket, and there were apparel and souvenir shops aimed at young people on the street just behind the hotel, which was great.
The front desk staff were also very friendly and accommodated my requests without any hesitation, which I really appreciated.
The building itself is old, but the rooms have been renovated and have a cute interior.
The only thing that bothered me was that the walls and floors were quite thin, so I could hear people on the other side of the door and hear their footsteps on the floor above. People who are sensitive to this might find it quite bothersome.
The other reviews were high and the price was reasonable, so I thought it was within my tolerance range.
I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The location was great, about a 5-minute walk from Santa Monica Pier. The bathroom and beds were clean, and I had no discomfort. The building feels a little old, but it's fine for a stay.

Great location within walking distance to the pier, shopping restaraunts and more. Vintage hotel (early 1900s) with a nice bar/restaraunt connected just downstairs. Rooms are renovated with a/c and a fresh look while maintaining the original feel of the hotel. Classic and Vintage speakout at this one

The room was extremely noisy- both the air conditioner and the noise from the room above. The people behind the desk and at the car valet were very nice, the room was clean, and the valet was prompt in bringing our car, but the beds were not comfortable and if I hadn’t had noise cancelling head phones with me, I would not have been able to sleep.

Great location, just 2-3 minutes walk to Santa Monica Beach. Many eateries around the hotel. The air conditioning look very retro but it’s very powerful. Beds are comfortable. It’s a very basic hotel, not new but the location is good and it’s not noisy. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Nice place, had an excellent company celebration on the terrace with tasty appetizers and great pinot.

Waste of time and money. I was do dissapointed by this restaurant. The hostess was sterile and didn't seem happy to be there. Although the food seems reasonably priced, the quality is so poor that I definitely feel ripped off. I had the chicken and it was OK. The swordfish was overcooked. One person ordered salmon and it was undercooked and the vegetables were burnt. The waiter didn't check at all to see how the food was. When we complained about the salmon, the manager was rude, argumentative and hostile. He treated his clients with contempt. Overall, service and food was below average. I would never go back or recommend this place.

Quite expensive. Ordered salad and dressing on the side and main dish.
Salad was swimming in the dressing they forgot to put in on the side. The food was ok not really tasty

Sonoma Wine Garden makes it very evident that if you are a person of color ( my group was a mix of African American, Hispanic, and Asian women) that you are not welcomed in their establishment. The rude attitude and verbal abuse that my friends and I received from management clearly demonstrated their RACIST corporate culture. After placing our food orders, we were forced to move to the back of the restaurant as a manger proceeded to grab our belongings from the table. We had already been seated for over 30 minutes and had not even received the beverages that we had ordered. The table that they moved our group of 6 to was extremely small (probably meant for 3 people) and in a walkway. The manager complained that "people" always wanted free stuff and that we can leave their establishment if we didn't like the treatment. Through our interactions with multiple members of management we quickly understood that it was not just one RACIST employee, but that the company had a corporate culture of RACISM and BIGOTRY fueled by intolerance of people who looked differently than their average blue eyed blond haired customers. It had been a few years since I had encountered racism in a business setting. I write this review not to hurt the business at Sonoma Wine Garden, but to prevent other people from feeling the shame and pain that each RACIST encounter leaves on your life.

The most disgusting and the dirtiest restroom for a place which served drinks and food. Discussed it with the store manager, he agreed and told me go ahead and post it. The fact these guys are so busy, doesn’t mean they can compromise public safety. I hope someone from the corporation office reads these comments.

Starbucks Starbucks Starbucks....why has this place gone down in quality. Who ever manages the place for one needs to install more power surges. I for one needed to charge my phone and there were no power surges. Also the one that I did find didn't work. The CEO of Starbucks needs to revamp this place. Also there ARE too many homeless people hanging around there. I want to go to a place, have a coffee and be able to charge my phone in peace. This place has become pathetic.

The worst Starbucks I have ever been. I was at the store at 10:45 pm; one of the staff was cleaning the restrooms. She put a sign restroom closed. They didn't want any one to use the restrooms as they need to keep them clean for the next day. They are sending all customers to a public restroom at 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica. Really very lazy staff. I am guessing what their manager will be !!!!!

This place is/was great. The drinks, food and service are still top notch BUT, as is typical these days they've made changes that lower the experience.1) To wit; there are no longer any electrical plugs 2) they've taken away a lot of seating. There is an area to the left when you come in that could easily accommodate four tables. They were there once but some "manager " decided to create consumer angst by minimalist seating. 3) to compensate for that they crank the music (abusic) up loud enough to blow out your eardrums and prevent any meaningful conversation. 4) on the outside they've removed the sun umbrellas so plan on getting skin cancer if you want to sit outside for more than five minutes-way to go Starbucks-take our money and risk our health.5) with the volume of people coming here there is always a HUGE line for the bathroom. So when your coffee or tea "hits" your bladder you better have a plan B or you s--- out of luck-pun intended. They had two bathrooms here but again management decided to create more consumer angst By restricting access 6) some company built a high wall outside next door so the once wonderful people watching view is now restricted.
You can do better Starbucks!!!

Food and drinks are good. Service is decent, but a little slow while they're busy. Still worth it.

I just love their decorations! And guess what? We ended up with free drinks from the manager (they served us twice) because our server was taking too long. Nice place to hang out with friends, and watch sport events.

worst service ever. I remember coming here with my aunt a few weeks ago and we were told that we could sit at the bar until a space at the table sections were available. We ordered food and drinks at the bar while waiting, and as soon as we placed our order our name was called. We then told the bartender - who was really nice btw - and she told us that would be no problem and that we would have to pay for our food and drinks at the bar. We then went over to the server outside and explained how we just made our order at the bar as soon as we received the message that seats were available. She told us very rudely that there was no option and that we would have to remain at the bar and eat where we placed our order. We tried explaining to her nicely that we were not told of this "rule" when we spoke with the bartender, as she said it was fine before and let us know that we would have to pay first. After a few minutes the server told us it was fine and sat us in the outside balcony area. Mind you, there was not an ounce of decency when she was telling us that it would be fine and we were basically ignored the whole time we were sitting outside. Numerous times we tried to make contact with the server but we were ignored and left there. Giving up, we just decided to finish up, and when I was trying to get another server to ask our original server to give us our bill - she told me off in such a rude manner that she was not my waiter and that we should just go back to the bar. I'm appalled, the cattiness and the level of passive aggressive behavior we received is beyond me. This isn't high school. It's a bar where if you are selling food and drinks to customers, some level of respect and service is expected. This left such a bad taste in my mouth. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who realized this place had terrible service

A definite place to stop by while exploring the Santa Monica Place and/or Santa Monica Pier. I was seated very quickly and got great service. The fried pickles were great! The fried mac & cheese bites were ok but would have tasted better if they were made of home made mac & cheese and not the box. The eggs and enchiladas were delicious along with the grilled cheese. This is a great stop with a massive menu that will allow anyone to find something they like. They have everything from burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, breakfast, tacos and enchiladas. A great breakfast/lunch spot while chilling at the beach.
