Residence Inn by Marriott Marina del Rey in Los Angeles

The quality is consistently good, the rooms are nice and comfortable, and the view is fantastic, but they've outsourced the valet service to a private company, and the daily fee of 78 USD is excessive. If you don't use the valet service, they won't let you into the hotel's car park either; they tell you to go to the public car park by the beach, which is unacceptable.

My wife and I had a very nice time at the Marriot Marina del Rey. All the staff was great and superbly friendly. We arrived quite early but they had our room already ready for us at 11:30 am. Room was very nice, spacious and very clean. Unfortunately they didn’t had an complimentary gold elite status room upgrade available but the early check-in made up for this.
Great is that 3 hours use of the rental bikes is included. We drove all the way to Santa Monica pier and back and had a blast with the beach cruisers. Close to the hotel are great places to eat.
We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book it again if we are in the area.

Beautiful location, free canoe renting options, free 3 hour bike renting option, on site Hertz rental presence. Very customer focused and friendly staff.
Bedsides had USB-C charging ports.

I stayed here in November 2025. I wasn't very impressed with the room overall because I felt that the room was a bit dirty. I wiped surfaces down and found that there was a lot of dust, dirt, and grime on handles, the remote, etc. I will say that the hotel is clearly freshly rennovated, which is nice, but there's a strong odor in the halls that doesn't do it justice. The staff was ok - typical for the area in my opinion - to the point and not extremely friendly, but nothing to complain about. I do believe that a larger lounge would improve the hotel tremendously. Breakfast was very busy and crowded. Keep in mind that this hotel is valet-only. A positive note is that the rooms have balconies and nice views of the marina, the ocean, planes landing at LAX, and some have nice views of the city and/or mountains in the distance.

Not exactly a beach—it’s a marina. Room service ok but there should be more food options—it feels meager for a large chain hotel, and it should be 24 hours! Staff friendly. Excellent housekeeping service and staff.

Rooms were very nice and looked newly remodeled. The carpet in the hallway was rough and stained, so I was pleasantly surprised to rooms were so nice. Only were there one night, but seemed like a decent place. Parking, like most of the hotels in LA, is insanely expensive.

I stayed there for 4 days with my wife & 2 kids. The hotel is nicely located and quite close to Venice Beach.

Rooms are big and cosy with a beautiful view to Mother's beach. The restaurant at the lobby has some good meals and is not as expensive as one could think compared to what you could find in other hotels. Service was great! I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Hotel was clean. Dining choices were limited. My reservation rate included free parking and internet but when I went to check out there was a $57 charge for parking. Fortunately I had my reservation documentation and the charge was removed. The staff was professional and plesant.
