Having room with kitchen is great, grocery store just down the road, also close to beach. Some amenities lacking, wifi and grills weren't working

Great spot, friendly, quiet, good location. Kitchenette in room is a great advantage. Will definitely stay here again on next trip to LbtS.

Nice place and quiet. Feels like home and close to the beach. I had a stove and refrigerator in a studio like apartment. Clean and cozy. Near everything!

I stayed 2 nights with a friend who was there for a week. Yes, older units, but who cares? We came for the weather and the beach, both of which were perfect! Unit had a small kitchen, but we were able to cook. Sunday Farmer's Market was nearby and added to our Publix purchases. Host was very helpful on arrival. If I came back to the area, I would certainly look at staying here again!

Confusion over pricing/deposit taken or not taken .... policies should be clearer and adhered to for owner and guests sake. But good location in a pleasant area very close to beach.

Great accommodations, very pretty property, very accommodating hosts. Tennis & basketball across the street, walk to the beach. Near to cafes, etc. use of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards. Loved it here! Pool is small, but adequate.

First time at Breakaway was in October 2022, we were supposed to go to a wedding in Naples but was postponed to the following year due to the hurricane. Had our flights and we were lucky enough to get a room at Breakaway. Had a Halloween party that was so much fun. Since then we just returned from our 8th stay. We did 5 weeks over the winter. Extending to 6 weeks next winter. Also go back in October and a week in June. Off season is much quieter than the winter and the ocean water is even warm enough for me to go in. We just love the place. The rooms are very clean, owners take pride in that. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the center with bars, restaurants and ice cream shops are less than 5 minutes.Margaret and Andrew are the best hosts you could ever ask for.

The hoagies are delicious and enormous. The staff is entertaining and you can see they love their jobs...

This place has insanely good sandwiches.. Also this one has probably the coolest manager I've ever seen very sociable. They make the sandwiches quick and with good ingredients I got to say 100% I love this place
15.12.2017 Rick
Great hoagie! Just as good as Delaware County style hoagie! This is a " must " when I am in Lauderdale by the sea.
19.11.2017 Edward
Damn, those hoagies are massive, even a half one is a challenge. Absolutely price worthy, delicious and in a friendly atmosphere. Staff is lovely and very funny at times ?

I hadn't been to a Laspada's in many, many years. I moved up to Port St Lucie and there are none up here. (HINT). I was in LBTS and stopped in. Nothing's changed (except location) since I was last there. Still, hands down, the best subs anywhere!!! If you haven't tried them, you have no idea what your missing. Definitely the go to sub place if you have one in your area. I'd love to open one up here in Port St Lucie!!!!!

By far one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. The food and the service was excellent. I would definitely be back again.

I loved the place. We did an early bird three course meal. The food was amazing and the atmosphere equally great. We briefly got to talk to the owner who is a lovely French lady. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

French cuisine at its finest. A true hidden gem!!

So happy to have found this restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. Finally.... Fine french cuisine!!!!
Located in a strip-mall setting....Frenchy's will immediately make you think you traveled to France and discovered culinary heaven. From a small kitchen come out the most amazing culinary creations your palate has ever enjoyed.
I read several reviews online and initially, decided to try this place.....and now, we can't wait to go back. Escargot is a must!!! Great cuisine in a family-style refined atmosphere. 5 stars!!!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Food is so tasty. My three-year-old son just can't stop eating their Pho. Inside is neat, servers are very friendly. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
23.11.2017 Adi
Good thing I don't live near by... I would go broke with all that Pho. Try the shredded papaya if they still have it!!! Also try the Vietnamese ice coffee and enjoy the calm cool setting.
22.11.2017 Moosel
Great tastes. Excellent food and service. Huge amounts of food and very reasonable prices. Too bad it's so far East. I'd have lunch or dinner there weekly if they had one out in western Browsed county.
22.11.2017 Hugh
Best Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in East Fort Lauderdale, great wine selections, very small bar and restaurant, gets packed early and stays that way during season. They're popular for good reason.
12.11.2017 Emylene
I missed the Vietnamese food in Milwaukee! So i had to search close to what i love...Vermicelli with egg roll is good. Girls had rice and pork and chicken. They love the fried egg roll.
Server was just taking a long time. But finnally I asked her for some extra coins so we can stay longer for dessert for the parking lot meter and She said she said she doesn't exchange coins. I had to rush the kids so I can get out soon. Next time I'll bring extra coins.

We came to Athena because they had live music on Friday night. Lots of rock and roll that catered across the generations. It was fun and the food was great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Loved the octopus appetizer! Recommend!

Delicious Authentic food. Upscale dining! Loved it! Don’t believe the negative reviews. We had 4 people order 4 different dishes we all loved our food!

This place is terrible. I went to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend on a Friday night. It was around 7pm, not too late or early. The place wasn't even full (while all the other restaurants in the area were). We stood waiting to be seated and was ignored by the staff. After about 10-12 mins. Someone told is to have a seat anywhere we'd like. After sitting for another 10 minutes, the menus arrived (no silverware). 10 minutes later the waitress took our drink order only too inform us that they were out of iced tea. She then disappeared. 15 minutes after that. Another waiter appeared. He took new drink orders and started us with an appetizer. We ordered the octopus, he informed us they were out of that too. So we went ahead and ordered our meals. My girlfriend had the lamb and i tried to order the chicken. They were out of chicken as well. Finally we just walked away.
I'm a huge fan of all the restaurants in Lauderdale by the Sea. This one ranks at the bottom. It's too bad i didn't get to taste the food; I've heard good things, especially the octopus. Needless to say my birthday dinner was ruined. We ended up at another Greek restaurant down the street. Way better experience.

12/27/17- went in for lunch used a 2-4-1 coupon. With two drinks. I had the Blackened Mahi sandwich with fries , our Sean told me for a dollar more I could have something else but went with fries. My friend had the Cobb salad which looked real good . Our server Sean told us bout the special w/prices I like that . But the Chef has a very did I say heavy hand with the salt . Plus the 2-4-1 can't go wrong .

Beware of the hand dryer

I got the fish tacos and the little bit of fish under the mound of slaw tasted great. WAY to much "filler" in the tacos. I'm paying for fish tacos not slaw tacos lol had to return my drink because it still had a bunch of lip stick all over the brim... With all the other options down here don't think I'll be returning.

Good beer selection and service. The apps are pretty good as is some of the entrees. Most of the time we would go there for apps though.
16.11.2017 Mark
My favorite restaurant in L-B-T-S. Great craft beers on offer. Nice cocktails too. Really buzzzing atmosphere at both the bar and in the restaurant. Good selection of quality food. Happy hour between 4-7pm means it's always busy, but in a good way. Recommended.
22.10.2017 Rob
I would give zero if it was possible. We stopped in for 1 drink after dinner, had the drink and as we were leaving the bartender claimed we never signed the credit card slip, which we clearly did as 2 of us split the tab, and even asked the bartender for a pen so we could sign the tabs. No biggie, print new merchant copies and we'll sign those again, they insisted we sign the customer copies and leave those which is shady... no biggie, we did so... then as we were leaving the bartender (didn't catch his name but he is from Houston as he was talking about his team advancing to world series) so the bartender says to us to go eat a big bag of diks, but as we were almost completely gone so we heard it, went back and asked him what he said and the tuff guy wouldn't even look over at us. so we asked for the manager and told him what had happened, he couldn't care less... so needless to say we will never go back... we are all locals, and it's a shame some places take that for granted and only care about tourists... well visitors beware, the staff is rude and apparently up to shady business. The owner should also consider hiring a manager that at least acts like he cares about customers.
