This was horrible,nothing works properly The floor in the unit cracks out,AC doesn't work either,Be ready to wait more then 30 minutes for the elevator. (Sometimes even it won't work) To make long story short,avoid these places Unless u doesn't have another choice

My partner and I booked a lovely studio apartment on Airbnb via the hosts (Martin, Nicole & Luciana) at this Hallandale Beachwalk resort. Our room was on the 19th floor. Upon arrival the resort front desk and areas were clean and smelled lovely almost like a spa. The front desk staff was very helpful when assisting me with check in. The staff at this hotel were very helpful and accommodating. All 3 hosts were very responsive via the Airbnb messaging app and assisted us with getting clean towels and whenever we needed more toiletries. The hotel appeared to be going through a bit of cosmetic upgrades, however, it was well kept and smelled amazing as I am stickler for smells/odors. The studio apartment was as pictured with two queen beds, microwave, many fridge and a bathroom. The view was breathtaking as the apartment was overlooking the beach and we loved seeing the yachts pass by. Only thing missing from our room was a wall mirror so we could have seen our daily outfits and an office/desk and chair area. The location is convenient as a Walmart, subway & Panda Express are all literally 2mins walk away. We would definitely stay here again, and book via these hosts on Airbnb.

This property is almost as bad as everyone says it is. I'm not sure who was able to change the name to "ghetto" hotel - but they're not far off. This is a split property, half Airbnb/rentals/hotel on one side of the building, and the other side is residences. We stayed in an Airbnb on the short term side, but you check in like a hotel at the front desk. The elevator issue is real and isn't just during high traffic times like check in and check out - it's pretty much all day, especially during the weekends when the property gets busier. The rooms themselves vary WIDELY depending on which one you get as many are independently maintained by hosts/owners, but my guess is that none of them are in fantastic shape. Ours was fine, not the worst place I've ever stayed, but it certainly wasn't the cleanest. The fear of bedbugs in a place like this is real, but we checked both mattresses and didn't see any, thank god. The biggest problem with this place is the amenities - they do not have the appropriate sized amenities to fit all the people they cram into this property. The pool is nowhere near big enough, and they only have about 20-30 chairs - for hundreds of people. We had to get to the pool in the morning to claim enough chairs for our 4 person family - and once we saw how many more people were arriving, we cut down to 2 since our kids were mainly in the pool. Yet there were still people having to spread their towels on the deck. We did see them bringing in more chairs later in our stay - but they'd only be able to fit 10-15 more regardless with how small the pool area is. Additionally, fair warning that the pool is on the interior side of the intracoastal - so after a certain point in the afternoon, it's in the shade as the sun is blocked by the building. We stayed in December 2025 and the entire deck was shaded by 2:30pm. The beach is not much better chair-wise. You're only allowed 2 chairs per room, so if you have more than two people, you need to pay extra. The chairs and towels are not in great shape, and they cram about 50-75 into a small section of beach. Plan to be nearly on top of the people next to you. It's a crowded beach area regardless, but might be better just to buy some cheap towels from walmart and set up somewhere else on the beach where you have more space. We stayed out there for a few hours, and by the time we left, people were lined up to get chairs and they were turning folks away as the chairs were all full. I'd say skip this place - we won't return.

We got scammed by their “free parking” claim, then again by the shady valet service who wanted us to pay cash for half of their fee. Elevators weren’t working the first night and the gym and pool were closed but they had no problem charging us a $30 per night resort fee! We had to call the front desk to have Maintainance come replace the battery in our smoke detector because they don’t do regular maintenance. There were at least 6 guys in the 1 bedroom next to our room partying all night long every night we were there. Don’t let the cheap rates entice you, this place is as ghetto as it gets.

I rented an apartment at Beachwalk for a month, but after about two weeks the owner changed the locks and I was suddenly unable to access my belongings. This left me shocked and stressed, as I had received no prior notice and had to fight just to retrieve my things. I also witnessed several other tenants being removed without warning, creating an atmosphere of instability and uncertainty. The whole situation felt extremely chaotic and aggressive, to the point where it seemed like the place was being taken over in a very forceful way. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

I arrived at the hotel and it smells like mildew and must. The hotel staff barley speak English they told me to give my keys and I told them I wasn’t parking am they still demanded my keys. I get to the front desk and they can’t find my reservation and tell me I should’ve booked with Airbnb and I told them I’ve never had a problem with my bookings anywhere as far as hotels or bnb. They get frustrated cause I kept asking them to figure it and check there system cause I had all confirmation on my behalf. They do it, it goes through. I get up into my room and the it STINKS I GAGGED THE MILDEW SMELL IS HORRIBLE. This is probably the worst location I’ve ever stayed at between the smell and the property staff not understanding English

I would not recommend this property to anybody, while on the outside it looks beautiful. It’s nothing but money pit I recently booked through Airbnb under the impression that it was an apartment, this is not an apartment. This is a hotel/resort where people own, the condos and then rent them out. The staff is incredibly rude, anytime you ask them a question they look at you like you’re stupid. You pay for a resort fee while half of the resort amenities are not even available, absolutely ridiculous. Some of them don’t even speak English, which is a little troubling… I would expect them to know the bare minimum at least. On three different occasions, I had maintenance in my apartment and on all three occasions my door was left wide open!!! Super unsettling as I’m traveling alone with children. They charge $30 a night for parking unless you’re saying eight days or more than you get a two dollar discount… on one of the occasions I literally had the gentleman hand me my key and then asked me for a tip… i’m all for Southern hospitality, but the minute you asked me for a tip as if it’s mandatory I’m uncomfortable… The ladies at the front desk rolled her eyes anytime you walk their direction, as if they are completely miserable, the gentleman who stand at the front door, congregate around the door to make it hard from going in and out, it is an automatic door, so it makes it incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to squeeze through four or five men who are standing there just talking… on multiple occasions. I asked to speak to the manager two times in which I was told the manager would not be here for a week…. You pay a refundable $250 deposit… The unit I stayed in was on the very top floor and it was incredibly dirty, the shower was mold, infested (the host did change shower head), the tiles on the outside balcony are broken, and the lights do not work outside, which makes it eerie during the night time. For the price I had to pay to stay here, and the headache that I got while being here I would definitely not recommend this property to anybody and I really do not like leaving bad reviews, but this is not a bad review. This is an honest review. The best part about this property is the fact that the Walmart is right across the street so if you need anything, it’s right at your fingertips, another thing I really did enjoy was the fact that the beach was in walking distance. It literally took my son’s and I have five minutes to walk across the bridge to get to Hollandale Beach. We could’ve taken the shuttle, but after waiting for 25 minutes, I got impatient and decided to walk.. I really wish I had read the reviews prior to staying here, had I known it was a resort I would have never spent a dollar here. I came here to enjoy my birthday and can truthfully say I did not enjoy a single night during my day other than the times it was completely quiet outside, looking out on the city. Definitely the best part of my unit was the view of Holland

Absolutely a disgrace and should be checked by the health department!!! This is NOT a 4 star hotel/resort more like a 2 star. All they have going for themselves is the view THATS IT. We rented an Airbnb from here as it’s part hotel and Airbnb. We stayed on floor 11. I’m pregnant and the first thing when you walked in lot the unit smelled like STRONG mold/mildew that does NOT go away. Black mold in showers, blood stains on the sheets, blood stains on the lamp upon arrival 🤮 pictures online looked amazing but in person looks like everything is falling apart. We assumed maybe a fight happened in our Airbnb because you can see patches on the wall and outline on the wall where a picture may have been prior. The light fixtures if you touch them looks like they will fall on your head with wires hanging out. To top it off, after providing all the photos of evidence to the owner, we were told we would get a 2 day refund for our 3 day stay and now they are doing whatever they can do NOT to fulfill that. Plus, it’s been almost a month since our stay and we have YET to receive our security deposit. No one answers the phone, this place should be investigated. We had to not only wipe everything down and clean but also had to go to Walmart to buy cheap blankets, pillows, and pillow cases in order to sleep. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service with useless Airbnb managers who do NOT maintain their property. I have a YouTube channel and plan to share this with my audience if we do not receive our refund AND security deposit ASAP! Stick to your word! We have proof all in writing and will show online if not taken seriously. DO NOT STAY HERE, you’ve been warned.

We book with Airbnb, the upper penthouse suite 3br/3bath, which was very comfort and clean, the view were amazing. THAT'S THE GOOD. As for the actual "resort" I will NEVER do it again nor would I EVER recommend anyone that's not Hispanic to stay here. They make it so obvious that you are not welcomed! From the minute we checked in, the attitudes behind the desk were rude, unprofessional, not friendly, unwelcoming and somewhat prejudiced. You ask a question and they act like they cannot understand English and started answering back in Spanish. Why apply for a hospitality job when you have zero customer service. This is the United States, not Cuba! How dear you treat people that way! They all congregates in the lobby basically blocking you from being able to walk and they almost refuses to move out of the way. My family and I stayed for 6 nights. We came on vacation and left feeling more stressed. Hats off to the only person that actually acknowledged us as humans/paying customers.(James, "Jimmy"). I seriously would NOT recommend anyone to patronize this "resort"
