Riptide Oceanfront Hotel in Hollywood

This place has character and characters. The tiki bar draws a fun local crowd. The staff is nice and helpful. We were there for Halloween, what fun! You can’t beat the views and plenty of walkable bars and restaurants nearby.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location being steps away from the sand. We stayed in the 2 queen w/ sofa bed (Room #27). Pictures on the site made it look like it was 1st floor, but it was actually on the 2nd level with the same basic layout. Sofa bed looked like it had seen better days. Had a nice cover on it that we kept on and just had our kids take turns sleeping on the cushions for a night each. The queen beds were very nice and plenty of extra pillows. Checked in late the first night after the office closed. Extra blanket had sand all over it, but they were quick to wash it the next morning. Shower takes about 3 minutes (no exaggeration) to get warm. Water pressure is fairly low, but not terrible. The weather didnt cooperate [riptide warning all 3 days - fitting given the name 😀], so we made a 2 hour drive to the West coast (Marco Island) for some swimming. Highly recommend for calmer waters. Unfortunatley, we didn't get to take in much of the tiki bar festivities or boardwalk due to the weather.

Located on the beach- as in open the door to your room and walk in to the water. But it also has some local flare - live entertainment at the bar in the hotel that the locals seem to flock to. But quiet at night when everyone is ready to sleep. We only stayed one night but it was really close to the airport and plenty of options to keep us busy

A great beachfront stay. Friendly front desk and bartenders. Beautiful view of beach. Loved the tiki bar! Also loved the iced coffee in the morning at coffee shop. Room was clean and comfortable. Had a fridge, microwave, ice in the room, cups and plates! Perfect for our little romantic beach weekend getaway.

Overall the property is in a great location. It does need a little maintenance, but since it’s right in front of the beach I will say it’s difficult to maintain it. I also think they can put a little more effort in the cleanliness, some areas of the room were not 100% clean. The staff were amazing!! And the parking is not difficult either. Will recommend it for a weekend of fun.

I originally was booked for a room with a view but was moved due to construction going on in the tower I was booked in. We could walk out of our room and see the beach! As well as the tiki bar which unbeknownst to us has live music every Friday! What a treat. I felt very safe at this location. Bed was comfortable. I loved the unit had its own AC so we could keep it as cool as we wanted. It was a great trip and if we ever find ourselves down here again we plan to stay in the same place!

I have stayed here 2 times and i love this place. Will come back again in december.

Great place for the money! Owner was so engaging in the staff and guests! Very accommodating! Rooms were very clean, we would recommend to all our families and friends. You get more than a bang for your buck!

Excellent location and service of the Hotel, safe parquet, very good for the cleanliness and accessories of the room, delighted with the stay
