Just had an amazing weekend there. Everything was great from the garage attendants to front desk to housekeeping. Front desk always greeted us when we walked by - the man on evening shift Saturday kindly gave us water when we came in sweating from our trip to the Pride parade. The pool and lawn area is gorgeous. And those beds! We slept so comfortably! A great hotel experience all around.

Third time staying at this hotel in the last two years. Always a quality accommodation for a fair price with a great location. Clean, pet friendly and the Swim Club is a cool bar with good drinks. For the record, I don’t like the re-branding to Renaissance. Downright was a neat concept that was outside of a corporate feel and reputation. It fit the hotel’s vibe well. I guess some corporate bean counter thought differently and felt homogenizing the hotel was more important. Your customers disagree!
Also, I didn’t park here because it was too expensive but the parking guy who was obsessed with giving my dog treats was great!

Highly recommend - great value, away from the craziness of downtown but only 7-8min walk from it too. Safe area, great walkability or just hire the Lime scooters for a fast and cheap way to get around, they’re always out the front. Sunny, cute pool area was awesome but gets absolutely jam packed on weekends unfortunately, seems like it’s open to public which is unfair to guests like me who wanted to spend time there every day but on Sat & Sun could not find a chair to lay on until after 6pm. Beautiful retro fitout. Comfy, clean rooms. Lovely Kevin Murphy toiletries (incl moisturiser - so many hotels don’t have moisturiser these days!) Good coffee downstairs. Free cocktails Wed-Sat from 5:30pm in the lobby and the blonde guy who serves them is so lovely. In fact all the staff were incredible. Only other thing I can fault is the shower - it sprays cold, hard water at you no matter how softly you try to pull the handle, bad design!

ad a fantastic stay at Downright Austin Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish. The hotel has a fun retro vibe that gives it a lot of character, and the location is excellent for getting around Austin. What really stood out was their outstanding customer service: I accidentally left my AirPods behind, and the team went above and beyond to help locate them and arrange delivery to my home within 48 hours. That level of care and efficiency is rare. Highly recommend staying here!

I had an absolutely incredible stay thanks to Neville, Jose, and the entire staff! From the moment I arrived, everyone went above and beyond to make sure every part of my experience was exceptional. The room was beautiful, and the amenities truly made my stay unforgettable.

This hotel has a retro vibe but that we really enjoyed, maybe it is dated but they lean into it in a really fun way. Food was great and all the staff were friendly. Walking distance to 6th st which was our destination. Was very happy with our stay

I really appreciated that they had their own parking garage to make parking simple. The swim club and the pool was a lot of fun as well. Lots of good food nearby.

Stubbs is a BBQ restaurant located in downtown Austin. The service is efficient and friendly and the portions plentiful and tasty. We didn't have to reserve in advance - despite it being a Saturday night, and there seems to be plenty of tables. We ordered the turkey and chicken. Whilst the chicken was moist and had a wonderful smoky flavour, the turkey was a little on the dry side- but had a rich BBQ flavour. The sides we ordered (mac and cheese, 'slaw, fries and onion rings were tasty and filling. The walls are filled with signed photos of musicians and concert posters. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Austin.

Security check for concert moved quickly. Drinks were well made. Good sound system. Only negatives...parking by Stubb's is $$. Yard is fairly flat, so if you don't want view blocked, show up early.

I came for the all you can eat breakfast. The food was good and there was a large selection of choices as well. I always like variety and the food quality was good, especially for a buffet, which usually are a little lower quality. There's also live music and they serve good drinks as well. It's not my favorite bbq place, but it's good, especially for brunch.

Awesome barbecue! Me and a group of of 4 other girls shared 2 of the big platters and everything was perfect! We had to wait for 1h for a table on Friday night which is understandable but service was outstanding and food came out really fast! Our server was super friendly. And our bill was really inexpensive!

Stubb's has always been a worthwhile stop on my Austin trips. I've seen tons of bands of different sizes and the venue is always top notch.
They have AMAZING food. I had the Jalapeno Brisket Sandwich the other night and I catch myself thinking about it from time to time. It was the most tender slice of heaven.
The audio is great as long as you aren't directly up front (true for most places). The view is great, as the ground slopes up towards the back. They are constantly adding new things to the venue to make it better. Make a trip out here!
