My stay at The Otis Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you walk in, you feel as though you’ve stepped into a beautifully curated museum, with stunning artwork inspired by the classic LPs of yesterday. Music lovers will immediately feel at home.

The art throughout the hotel is truly astounding, thoughtfully displayed and perfectly woven into the overall design. Every corner feels intentional and creative, making the entire space an experience in itself.

The rooms are quaint but incredibly comfortable, offering a cozy retreat while still maintaining the hotel’s unique musical personality. One of the most fun touches is the musical options available to guests, which make the stay feel even more special and immersive.

However, the highlight of our visit was the exceptional service we received during check-in from Deana. She was knowledgeable, welcoming, and incredibly customer-focused, setting the tone for a wonderful stay from the very beginning.

This hotel is a true gem in Austin. Between the music-inspired atmosphere, incredible artwork, and top-tier hospitality, we absolutely can’t wait to return for another stay.

I’ve been to a lot of nice hotels. This one is as good as any 5 star locations. The staff was wonderful and attentive to special needs (allergies)

The rooftop bar and pool are especially nice. Good drinks and snacks. Pricey, but that’s expected.

The guests were an eclectic group of parents and business travelers. Great for people watching.

Loved staying here. The room was great, with a large window with a great view. It is right on the UT campus, so you can walk to everything. They do not have microwaves in the rooms which is a little disappointing because we always have leftovers to heat up, and the refrigerator is smaller than the normal hotel refrigerator so it does not hold much, but that is the only thing I can say negative about my stay. Upon check in, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

The staff was great and the location suited our needs for a business trip. I read a review that said this hotel was a 4 star with a 5 star vibe. Not even close! I paid $1600 for two night in a king suite. The room was acceptable at minimun standards but too small for our liking. We enjoyed some time on the 11th floor roof top deck. The food from room service was subpar (cold) and we had to request ice 3 times and ended up going down to the desk to get our own. Maybe it is us- but if you think you are getting a 5 star vibe from this hotel it is not going to happen. My expectations were higher than this hotel was able to deliver. It was nice but the value to us was not there.

I stayed at the hotel for my sister’s birthday and called ahead to see if there was any way to make it a little special. I spoke with Lala who was super kind and said she’d send a complimentary amenity. She also left a handwritten card in the room, which was a really thoughtful touch and made the stay feel more personal.

Check-in was really easy, and overall everything just felt smooth and taken care of. The lobby coffee is always great too. This will definitely be our go-to hotel whenever we’re in Austin.

I went to the University of Texas at Austin for a conference.

The hotel entrance isn't impressive, but the first floor houses a popular local bar, always packed with people.

The breakfast was excellent. You could order two free main courses, including a dessert, and the portions were so large you could barely finish them. Drinks were also free (if you booked a room with breakfast included).

The night view was stunning, with views of downtown buildings. There's also a rooftop pool and bar, offering a breathtaking view.

Environment: The cleanliness was excellent.

The only downside was that the toothbrush and toothpaste weren't provided; you had to get them from the front desk. The toothbrush was also average quality and felt a bit rough.

fantastic comfort for a city hotel, bed was fantastic and gave a great nights sleep every night. staff are great really friendly and warm and multiple welcomes whenever you come through the lobby. acre 41 restaurant superb for breakfast and dinner and the rooftop bar great (when it’s open)

We enjoyed our stay at the Otis Hotel. Our room was perfect, although the closet was so small there was no room to open a suitcase. The beds were clean, white, and inviting, and they provided a great rest. The record player in each room is a great feature if you use it and is perfect for Austin. The service was excellent, the housekeeping staff very friendly and flexible, and the front desk staff was helpful. Jack (?) at the front desk was especially helpful, especially chatting and helping us choose which vinyl records to get for the record player in the room. The pool/bar staff was more than accommodating, even for our large group. The funniest example: when we asked how to get ice, they sent dripping ice to our room. Very nice, thank you. I think it would have been nice to have a bucket or something, but I don't think they had one available. The bar/waiter staff in the ballroom were perfect for our game night party. Parking was a separate fee, but it was easy to use the in-and-out privileges. The food selection was excellent, with several fast food shops across the street, as well as their amazing burger joint outside and several bars inside. The location is great, very close to the city center but not too busy. The highway is right down the street. 5 stars. I highly recommend it.

We had a few afternoon drinks at the lobby bar...what a treat. Kelsey, our bartender was a great host. Top notch! Can't wait to go back.

Great hotel overall....rooms, both barsa and pool...difficult to ask for more.
