I booked a room with a view of the UT tower, which was nice, but I was not told that the University is conducting 24-hour construction next to the building (the side with the UT tower view). If you are booking for the next year or so, make sure to get a room in the middle not near the tower side because the construction and related noise goes on all through the night. Separate from that the hotel was fine.

Room and property was clean as usual, we have stayed here 4 times. ******* folks don’t count on room upgrade. I know this is a nice perk, but I know at checkout none are available even though you can see the rooms available in the web. We got the tickets for the free drinks although we couldn’t use as the bar closed early with no prior notice or signage posted. We received the probation a few days early, but with not enough time to book another place. The location is great for shows at the Moody Center.

I was a little disappointed during this stay. I’ve stayed here before and it used to be my favorite hotel, but this visit fell short. The toilet tank was loose and looked like it was about to fall, which scared me a couple of times. There’s also construction going on, so it’s definitely better to be out of the room during the day.

I qualified for an upgrade, but it wasn’t offered to me, which was frustrating. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I wasn’t impressed this time.

On the positive side, the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was okay, and Alfredo, the server, was especially kind and attentive.

Great staff and location. Walkable distance to both on and off campus activities. Bars, restuaarants, shops.

Hotel is falling apart. Toilets are run-down and do not flush. We moved 2 rooms and saw that they have the same problem.
You can hear other customers repeadtely flushing. There are weird sounds coming from the plumbing. Elevator seems ancient, jerky, noisy and struggles to open/shut.

I really enjoyed how clean everything was. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, asking any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

For $500/night I’d expect complimentary coffee and water at minimum and really should include breakfast. Even Comfort Inn offers free bottles of water these days, but this place has a smart water bottle in the room with a price tag of $5. There is just one small coffee stand near the lobby where we had to wait 15 minutes for a drip coffee. Common areas and grounds are nice but rooms are desperately in need of updating.
