Had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin. Our lake-view room was comfortable, clean, and offered beautiful views—definitely a highlight. The hotel sits just across the river from downtown, which makes walking to the main areas a bit less convenient, but still doable.

Overall, big thumbs up… with one exception: parking. Charging $62 per night for self-parking feels unreasonable and definitely detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Beautiful property, great rooms—just be prepared for the parking cost and a slightly longer walk to downtown.

We always stay here when we visit Austin. Great and convenient location. Love the pool and hot tub and restaurants. We like the renovations. They could have upgraded the bathrooms.

Very clean, fantastic view of downtown- had a patio room, still thinking about the food at the restaurant "Ripple and Roots" was so delicious! Enjoyed easy access to boat tour and walking/jogging trails. Check in/out and valet staff were all professional and very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a great experience working with Johanna & Melanie to set up a courtesy block for our daughter’s wedding. They were patient in answering all our questions and made the process so effortless. The guests loved the spacious rooms and the convenient location. I highly recommend Hyatt Regency for your wedding guests or if you are traveling.

This is the good, reliable Hyatt I keep coming back to whenever I come to Austin. I love the location, which gives 1/3 of the rooms some incredible views of downtown Austin. The surrounding neighborhood is relatively quiet, great access to running trails, and you’re a short walk away from the heart of downtown.
The rooms are totally adequate, but slightly outdated when compared to some of the newer flagship hotels (JW, Fairmont) across the river. Not great soundproofing, and doesn’t give off luxury vibe.
Service is great, if not very proactive. Elite recognition is excellent as a Globalist: free breakfast, late checkout, upgraded rooms (got river view balcony and patio rooms) all honored.

This hotel is not only beautiful but the staff was amazing and thoughtful. Right from the start Pablo and Brooke at the front desk provided a great welcome to Austin after a long day of traveling. Our hotel room view was spectacular and everything felt so nice and clean. I was running out of toothpaste and the housekeeping staff noticed and got me a new one without even asking. I never had that happen before at a hotel. The Juniper Market right off the lobby was also lifesaving since I forgot my charger and phone had died. We wished we had more time in Austin to explore the surrounding area and hotel amenities they had to offer. We loved our stay at the Hyatt and cannot wait to come back to this hotel and Austin! Thank you!

The hotel has recently been renovated, and the property looks great. It still feels somewhat bare and without much identity, likely because finishing touches are still in progress (I hope). I was initially concerned about construction noise, but fortunately there was none during my stay.

The main issue I had was communication. The phone system to reach the front desk from the room or from a mobile phone barely works. When my laundry wasn’t delivered, my first call disconnected, the second kept me waiting 20 minutes before cutting off, and every call after that went to a busy tone. No one ever called back, and I had to go downstairs myself. The automated phone chatbot only adds to the frustration.

Smaller service details also fell short. There was no drinking water in the room when I arrived late at night, and I had to request it. I also found a hair in the bathtub on arrival.

On the positive side, the breakfast buffet is good, with a solid variety of options, though it would benefit from offering espresso drinks instead of only basic coffee and tea.

Parking at the hotel is expensive and there are no ther parking options nearby. Otherwise, the hotel is very nice and clean. Beautiful views of Lake Travis and downtown.

The best thing this place has going for it is its location, and that is it.
It is over priced for what you get. The rooms are small with a very cramped entryway,

This Hyatt is always updated and modern throughout the years of staying here. Parking is great with the parking garage. The facilities are clean and everything functioned as needed.
