Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas

We chose Hyatt Regency Dallas expecting a reliable, full-service experience consistent with the Hyatt Regency brand. Unfortunately, this stay has been one problem after another.

My wife and mother-in-law arrived late on March 7/8 and were immediately met with repeated commotion—noise in the hallway and/or adjacent rooms (and possibly above/below). The next morning, another guest openly acknowledged hosting a birthday gathering with children running in the hallways, creating constant disruption. The walls/floors feel paper-thin, and the hotel did not feel managed for basic quiet and comfort.

Then service issues compounded the experience. Despite daily housekeeping being clearly indicated and requested, the room was not serviced. When we contacted the hotel, staff brought up towels in a plastic bag—no room refresh, no proper amenities, no meaningful service. My wife ended up reusing the bag just to collect trash, because housekeeping still wasn’t done.

To make it worse, when they ordered “room service”, the food arrived like takeout delivery in a brown paper bag—no utensils, no place setting, and no condiments. That is not room service; it’s something we could have gotten from DoorDash. The food itself was mediocre.

Yes, the property feels older—but age is not an excuse for poor amenities, missed housekeeping, and sub-par customer service. Based on this experience, it is not a 4-star stay. At best, it’s barely a 3-star experience.

I would not recommend this hotel unless major improvements are made in noise control, housekeeping reliability, and basic service standards.
