Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas

Overall ok but check in experience was awful. 6 hr flight delays caused my arrival time to be 3 am. Reception eventually checked me in and sent me to the south tower to a single bed room when I had specifically reserved two queen beds. I returned to reception and was told that’s the only room in the entire hotel available (certainly a challenge for me and my fellow 63 yr old male friend). Receptionist attitude and an argument ensued but by 3:30 the manager magically found a room with two queen beds. That’s a lot of unnecessary inconvenience for a tired guest spending more than $1000 to stay in your hotel

My favorite thing about my stay was the comfortable bed and the view from my window. The lighting was poor but something I can get over. While there, I happened to accidentally leave behind my toiletry bag. I reached out once I realized my mistake and was directed to a very nice gentleman in security. It had not yet been turned in but he offered to go to the room I was in and personally look. While it wasn't there, I appreciated the gesture. The next day I spoke to him again and my bag was found on the cleaning cart, as the person that cleaned the room the day before had forgotten to turn it in... at least that was what I was told. They offered to FedEx the bag to me and it was only $12 to ship. WIN! I felt that price was incredibly reasonable due to me no longer being in Texas and having already returned home. My bag arrived and sadly, half of my items inside of it are gone. So, that is the reason for the 3 stars. The moment I realized my items had been stolen, all the good things I could say disappeared like my items in the bag. Was it my fault for leaving without my bag? Absolutely. But does that mean it is a finders keepers losers weepers situation? No. If my toothpaste was all they stole I would get over it, but that happened to be the least of my concern. I had a few very high priced items in the bag, again, my bad for leaving it, but their bad for claiming it as their own.
