Silver Cloud Inn Lake Union in Seattle

It is so wonderful to be treated kindly. We were given a discounted rate because we were visiting the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Without being asked, the receptionist gave us a map of the Center to make our walk efficient.
The room was large, clean and stylish with a gas fireplace. It is great that they serve breakfast because we couldn't find a breakfast restaurant nearby. We did enjoy a lovely dinner at the restaurant right across the street from the hotel.
If we need to visit again we look forward to staying at the Silver Cloud Hotel, Seattle Lake Union.

Excellent view. Great breakfast. Walkable. Across from resturaunts and lake union loop. You can sit outside overlooking the water at Duke's across the street.

We had a great stay! The breakfast options were amazing, we made sure to take advantage of that every morning, and you should too! The view from the breakfast nook was incredible, water and boats galore. The staff were great, "Ray" was super helpful kept us from missing our Uber even when it went to the wrong spot (Thanks Ray!). The beds and pillows were amazing as well. The bathroom is a little small, but if you're out and about that's not a deal breaker at all. A great location to catch a bus/trolley downtown for like $3 makes this a great spot, but walking may be a bit tougher - unless you're into that!

Great hotel and we’ll stay here again. Very nice room and friendly/helpful staff. Although located on a main road it was very quiet, with exceptional views of Lake Union and close to several good evening restaurants. Breakfast offerings were adequate. My only real problem was the lack of coffee. After breakfast closes at 9:30, there is no coffee available anywhere in the hotel. The pod coffee in the room is limited to 2 cups ……I can understand that. Some black tea would have been nice, but only a single green tea pod was supplied. Two small packets of sugar and 2 small creamers just didn’t cut it. There is no coffee available after 9:30 am and I was told I had to walk several blocks to a coffee shop (a 15 minute walk, and .7 mile according to maps). Both of us are pushing 80 and my partner is a cancer patient. Nope, not happening Next time we’ll bring our own coffee pods, sugar, and creamer. If a pot of coffee had been available in the lobby, I would have given 5 stars.

There's about a half dozen Silver Cloud Hotels here in Seattle and another in Portland. Here in Seattle there seems to be nowhere in the city that isn't close to one. The front desk staff goes out of their way to help you or get whatever you want. Bus, rail and taxi service are all close by and fast.

There's also a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot. And a 55" TV in the room was great for movies and was a really easy setup for casting my phone to the screen. It took less than a minute to set up and after that, just a single function on my phone each time.

Being a pig, my favorite part was the daily breakfast buffet. Magnificent! Several large gathering areas with fireplaces burning and great views of the lake across the street.

Stayed in town for business. Staff was curteous. Room was extremely clean and elevators were very quiet (I had a room next to one and had zero issue). Will be staying here again

Nice place to stay with a scenic view of lake union. Has all the amenities including gym. Rooms are spacious and gives you a sense of luxury. Breakfast buffet included with the stay is reasonably good.

Nice hotel with views of lake Union. At end of streetcar line. Free shuttle to tourist destinations. Free parking, free breakfast that has nice selection and great room with views. Staff very helpful.

Great chain of hotels in the Seattle Portland area. Very clean, comfortable and friendly. Free parking, WiFi & hot breakfast. Every floor had a guest laundromat. Rooms were large and more roomy than other hotels I’ve been to. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in this area!

Nice rooms. Very clean. Beds and pillows are too hard for my taste. Nice staff. Very good complimentary breakfast. Close to lots of great shops.
