We loved our stay at the Amelia. Located right on the edge of the old town so very convenient. Staff and owner are friendly and helpful, owner. Lovely, clean brightly-decorated rooms and good size bathroom. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room and has a great selection of food (bread, pancakes, salami, cheese, fruit cake) along with juice, tea, coffee - eggs, porridge also available room. Additional nice touch is a filtered water dispenser so you don’t need plastic bottles. Also has a shady courtyard and roof space to chill. Highly recommend.

Our friends recommended the Amelia Hotel to us, who stayed here last year and had great impressions of this hotel. We planned to spend 4 days in Bukhara. However, the Amelia Hotel only had Rooms for two nights, and for the other two days they recommended their second Hotel, the Alexia Suite. We were surprised how the owners kept both houses in their original form, which still reeks of antiquity. We liked both hotels. The Rooms are chic and spacious. Wonderful modern bathrooms. And of course delicious breakfasts. We had wonderful memories during these 4 days. We will recommend everyone who plans to visit Bukhara. We will definitely come back.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Room is amazingly clean, and people are incredly nice and welcoming! Special thanks to Aziz and Shax at the reception, as well as the lady serving us breakfast in the morning! Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!

Recently stayed for 2 nights with my partner and it was probably the best experience in our 1 week trip to Uzbekistan. Lovely and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast in a beautiful hall. They were very accommodating of our 10pm check-in. It was great to get to know Shax who made us feel very welcome and helped with anything we needed, all with a smile. 5 star experience.

My experience with the team at Amelia Boutique Hotel left a real impression. They were responsive, genuinely kind, and went way beyond what I would have expected when I had a special request to make. You can tell this is a hotel run by people who care, and it is a hotel with a terrific advantage — right on Bozor Hoja Street in the heart of Bukhara's old city, within easy walking distance of the great madrasas, minarets, and bazaars. For anyone visiting Bukhara to explore the Timurid and Silk Road heritage, you could not ask for a better base. I look forward to making a reservation with Amelia once again.

Small room, but it was OK except that there was no place to sit other than the bed. The bathroom was nice but had limited space for toiletries. We ordered a bottle of white wine and it was delivered warm with filthy glasses. The rug in our room hadn’t been vacuumed in ages; it was disgusting and we rolled it up and put it in a corner. Very nice and friendly staff – quite helpful and attentive. Great location just 2 blocks from the central square. Our travel companions had hay in the ceiling of their room and paint chips on the floor. It has been nicely renovated, but the workmanship is shoddy. Huge breakfast with lots of good choices. There’s a lovely rooftop terrace. Good choice overall.

I never stayed at this hotel because the booking process was a complete mess. My first reservation was canceled after just one day because they demanded confirmation for cash payment. They sent messages over the weekend and canceled before I even had a fair chance to respond. This has never happened to me with any other hotel. I tried again, made an honest mistake with the number of guests, and rebooked. The third booking was canceled again with no warning, even after I clearly confirmed that paying by cash was fine. This is extremely unprofessional, poorly managed, and disrespectful to guests. Communication is terrible and cancellations are done without consideration. Book at your own risk

Could a would a stayed a week but our tour moved on. This small hotel is in a centuries old merchant house. Nicely appointed with a charming roof top deck and the well cooked breakfast is in the stunning reception room. The staff was so kind and accommodating, popping up to the roof top to offer complimentary tea and cookies. And the location could not be better for exploring the charming old town of Bukhara.

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel. Location central, just off a main road but was very quiet with excellent soundproofing we didn't hear any other guests. Our only complaint was that at 05:45hrs one morning they started dragging the furniture in the breakfast room which was next door to us and we could hear everything. Assume guests in the room below would of heard the same. Suggest the hotel sets up the breakfast room each day during the day. Breakfast was excellent, eggs or other hot course cooked fresh. Spread of fruits, nuts, cake, pancakes additionally. Always full. The bed was very comfortable, the best we had during our 2 weeks in Uzbekistan. Good water pressure and hot water. If visiting Bukhara again we would definitely stay here again as was good value for money.
