The door out of reception at the back left is very poorly designed ie too narrow and with a floor protuberance for the constant stream of people with bags attempting to go through it
No facial tissues or small vials of hand lotion were supplied. Such low cost items, that would help make this chain a 4 star stay. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water, though the bath plug was slow to drain
The power point closest to the desk is very hard to get at and you have to unplug the fridge there to gain access to electricity. Why such poor design?? The king sized bed was well set up
Many tour groups would have just come across the Turkmenistan border. Our 3 story block had a lift but there are too many level changes to walk around the whole hotel
Why? The room was ok, clean, the window could be opened and had a fly screen. The split air con worked well. In theory, toilet paper was not supposed to be flushed
Part of the Hotel Asia chain, which seems to have tried to lift its standards in recent times. Very efficient hotel check-in in a very busy hotel; late in the day

The family room is a spacious two-bedroom suite. There's ample parking, perfect for those driving. There's also a small garden on the first floor. Many European and Chinese tour groups choose this hotel.
Health: Overall health is OK
Environment: There are gymnasiums and supermarkets nearby, about three kilometers from the central area
Service: OK
The hotel room is quite large and relatively clean, but the mattress is a bit hard. Locals like to come to the hotel lobby and garden to take wedding photos. The water in the swimming pool is not very clean
The hotel is in the new town, but only 3km away from the old town. There is a shopping mall next to it with a large supermarket and a fast food restaurant upstairs
Super. Nice, clean, staff are very professional about their work. Lovely restaurant, very tasty 5+. Live music. Well done. I advise everyone.
Very new, good environment, rich breakfast variety (taste average), but the location is a bit remote, a little far from the ancient city.

Bukhara's top-ranked hotel certainly lived up to its reputation. It's incredibly unique and conveniently located in the Old City, making it easy to get to all the attractions
The air conditioning in the room worked excellently, and the environment was pleasant too. However, drying clothes was a real issue – they didn't get dry even after an entire night. So frustrating!
I stayed at the Mercure near Bukhara's Old City for a business trip. The overall environment was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious
By far the best hotel I chose during my 2-week stint in Uzbekistan. It was lovely, modern, in a perfect location, and had great staff and food
The breakfast was delicious, and both the service and room amenities were excellent
Most of the guests checking in were senior tour groups from Europe and America
Bukhara, 7 Muhammad Iqbal Street, 200100 Buhara, Uzbekistan (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I had a wonderful experience at Sahid Zarafshon. From the moment I checked in until the minute I departed, the service was seamless and the staff were incredibly welcoming
I appreciate the modern, clean, and spacious rooms with large bathrooms
Moreover there are other amenities which include the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, sauna, and full-service spa
Good price value ratio hotel with comfortable beds. Service is nice with exceptions of the employee behind the Omelett station
Facilities: The hotel is fully equipped with everything you might need, including a well-maintained fitness center and a refreshing swimming pool. The lobby area is also very grand and spacious
The Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot. It’s within walking distance to local supermarkets and main city areas. Plus, it’s just a very short taxi ride to the historic Ark of Bukhara
Verdict:
Whether you’re here for the history or just a relaxing getaway, this hotel is an ideal base. The brilliant staff truly make you feel at home
Bukhara, B. Naqshbandi str. 256 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent experience
Staff is very professional and extremely helpful in particular Sherzad
People in Bukhara are generally very fruendly and welcoming
Hotel is very well located at walking distance from most places to visit and restaurants
Room was comfortable, clean and spacious
We loved this hotel and will certainly visit again
Super nice hotel close to the centre of Bukhara. The personnel is very kind, they helped me to find the mobile I lost. The buffet of the breakfast is full of lovely things. Very recommended!
In addition to having on site breakfast, there is an eating establishment immediately next door which is like a restaurant / bar / club which I think caters to Russian tourists. They have good strong cocktails there
I was here for a fee days in Bukhara and I was so impressed with this hotel. Firstly the rooms are so big, clean and grand. The price was so competitive and lower than other hotels in the city
They allowed me to extend my stay past checkout by two hours (they probably would have given me another hour). For some reason they didn't charge me a city tax at the end of my stay either
Great room, accomodating staff, walking distance to historic sites in nice weather. Across the street from a supermarket
Bukhara, Muminov Str., 8, Bukhara (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It has a great reputation, but it is not in the center of the scenic area, although it can be reached in five or six minutes on foot. On the whole, the price-performance ratio is good and suitable for budget travelers
The hotel is dated and should be avoided if possible. Location is good , a short 15 min walk to the center. Rooms are very old and had a stuffy/ mouldy smell
Very nice hotel to stay in Bukhara. Situated in 5 minutes walk to old Bukhara city and you'll get the best experience of Uzbek hospitality
Cozy and cheap + breakfast and everything for 150,000 sum 2025.05.03 I recommend to everyone, you can walk to the old city Laby Khavuz
The hotel is excellent in every aspect and we will share this beauty with our friends.
The hotel should really pay him more, his service and attitude towards guests are truly exceptional!
The hotel itself is amazing! Although the bathroom could use some improvement (the water tends to pool on the floor), the cleanliness of the bedroom area is very well maintained
Cannot get a better location — steps from the center square, all the important "old town" buildings, restaurants, shopping, and a short walk to additional sites (~15/20 min to ark of Bukhara, for example)
The hotel is in a very central location, making it easy to explore the city. The room was spacious and very clean, with good mattresses that ensured a comfortable night’s sleep
I can not begin to express what a fantastic location this was, from being walking distance to Labi Houze, the lake, local shops, the Ark, masjids and madaras. It includes 2 open bars, outdoor seating for every room
The staff members were also always extremely kind during the check in/out and our stay. The breakfast had fresh eggs and fruit- the samsa is amazing!
Ps: get a map from the front desk
I’d like to give a special shout-out to Bekzod, one of the staff members who showed me amazing hospitality and kindness from the very first day until the day i checked out

Quiet, 15 minutes walk from old town center. Clean and very good service. Highly recommend
Good
Staff is great, always willing to help and assist, hotel looks new but lack of blackout courtains, windows/doors do not seal well so room can be very cold at night, 20 mins walking to city center.
Lovely spacious room, staff were also very helpful. Bit of a walk into the old town (20 minutes) but taxis are very cheap.
Small and quiet hotel. Room very nice and clean.
Staff is the worst as my experience.
The hotel was clean, but it was quite far from the old city, especially since only electric carts could access Bukhara's old city, and at night you had to walk a long way to the area outside the curfew to hail a taxi
Comfortable Stay in the Heart of the Historic District
First and foremost, the hotel's unbeatable location right in the center of the historic district is its biggest advantage
I was unwell during my stay and asked for a larger room on an upper floor, which the manageress gave me. This property has an air of faded grandeur — not a bad thing in a destination such as this
Awesome heritage hotel beautifully decorated, room are very comfortable & bigger then usual clean reasonably priced very helpful and kind stuff and best part is in the middle of the old town. Highly recommended.
The breakfast area was a personal highlight for me. Specifically, a corner of the terrace offered a charming Chaikhana-style raised seating area, and I chose to have my breakfast there on both days
Step outside, and you're immediately amidst the takis and madrasahs. While the rooms are simple, they are wonderfully spacious, ensuring a perfectly comfortable and hassle-free stay
The building is well laid out, with a large, comfortable lobby and a beautiful courtyard. As a property it is tranquil and restful

The room is very beautiful, with high-quality wooden furniture, beautiful wallpaper, and a unique bathroom decoration. The hotel has a Central Asian style and the breakfast is great 👍
The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The room is royal. Breakfasts are delicious! The attitude is good. The location is also good. There are many shops and even a shopping center nearby.
Facilities: A bit dated, but this is understandable as a local hotel. Free parking is available right outside. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was excellent, very clean and tidy, and the room was bright
If I were to return or visit Bukhara again, I would definitely feel okay to spend the night here. The pictures show the type of room I booked, and some parts of the environment inside this hotel
Good location by the entrance of the Bukhara old town. Warm and friendly service from the front desk with upgrade offer. Water is not hot during taking the bath, but acceptable.
The hotel is top notch! The room is clean, with everything you need! The location is very convenient, all the sights are within walking distance, literally 10 minutes on foot

Shower of the old style so bare it in mind if you are travelling with your elders. No lift so you have to carry your own lugagge (they help you though). They have a good range of amenities like toothbrush and flip flops
Hotel Shams in Bukhara is a great choice for anyone looking for comfort on a budget. It’s close to the main sights, so exploring is easy. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and the outdoor pool is a nice touch
It belongs to a family who lives in the same building (the feeling is like staying at a chambre d'hotes). Room of good size covered in carpet, I would take out the carpet in the bathroom if I was the owner
Small swimming pool, our son loved it. They should put more confortable places to sit or lay next to the swimming pool. It is not buffet but they keep on bringing plenty of things from where to choose
We stayed in a triple room (202) for 3 nights and it was 170€ with breakfast included and cancellation for free. It is on the road surrounding the city but you can yandex everywhere
The only thing we would recommend the hotel to consider is the curtains = they let in a lot of sun and from the very early sunrise it does not allow you to sleep
Bukhara, M. Ashrafiy Street, 200118 Buhara, Uzbekistan (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
An absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel owner was incredibly attentive, always available with helpful advice or quick solutions to anything we needed. His kindness and dedication made us feel truly welcome
My daughter fell sick with acute tonsilitis and Ayoub himself took us to the doctor and helped us with translations and getting a quick appointment. I cannot thank him enough for all his help!
I accidentally left my AirPods behind, and the owner coordinated to have them delivered to me in Samarkand and also helped in ensuring the packing it carefully
The manager was very helpful and assisted us with restaurant reservations and transportation arrangements both within and outside Bukhara
I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Bukhara. The owner is incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help me during my visit. The location is perfect, just a short walk from all the main attractions in the city
The rooms are sizeable and clean. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The owner and his family make your feel completely at home
The hotel isn't exactly in the center, but we then stayed at a good hotel in the center and compared them. And yet, at this point, I would choose this hotel. A taxi to the center costs 100 rubles maximum
We ended up at this hotel by accident, for one night. Incidentally, we've since stayed at three more hotels in Uzbekistan. For some reason, there aren't many reviews here, even though the hotel is simply excellent
"Space, comfort, and tranquility—a wonderful vacation!"
We stayed at SHARQ YULDUZI and were very pleased. The rooms were spacious and bright, the beds comfortable, and everything was clean and well-maintained
But, surprisingly, despite the hard mattress (and I hate hard ones), it was quite comfortable to sleep. The interior is colorful and beautiful. Even the small hallway leading to the kitchen is very beautiful
A brand new hotel!!! We were thrilled with everything we saw. The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were spotlessly clean, everything was tidy—no words needed. Thanks to the staff, you're amazing
PS: We've stayed in four hotels in Bukhara, Samarakand, and Tashkent. The one in Tashkent was the worst. And the mattresses are hard everywhere, but this one is the most comfortable
Bukhara, N. Khusainov Street 7, 100200 Buhara, Uzbekistan (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We booked two rooms, rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good. Bet part was the historic courtyard and it’s very central location. I would stay here again
The location right next to the tourist center is a definite advantage. It was very convenient to walk to the nearby attractions, of which there are plenty. We also walked to Samonid Park and the Ark Fortress
The only downsides I could find were that the bathroom exhaust fan was loud and turned on with the light, and that there wasn't enough space in the bathroom to hang two sets of towels—there weren't enough hooks or anything else to hang four towels
The streets are narrow, nestled between closely packed houses, often other hotels, and cars are not allowed. So the taxi driver dropped us off near the edge of the old city, and we then wheeled our suitcases to the hotel
We had lunch in their hotel’s restaurant. Our table was in an upper dining room with soaring ceilings, and walls covered with painted patterns and engravings. Very beautiful and atmospheric
Lunch itself was delicious- freshest salads and an excellent pumpkin soup. The grilled beef steak was prepared perfectly for our group - med to med rare. The service was attentive and fast

This was the first hotel that made me organaze blanket and blanket cover on my own(even it was cold at nights). And, cleaning service was not enough
I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. It's a modern building in the city center, with a nice room and a comfortable bed. The breakfast wasn't very varied, but it was filling
The bed was soft, everything was clean, and the location was right in front of the Divanbegi Madrasah. Lots of good cafes and attractions nearby. Check-in was quick. The WiFi was a bit weak, though.
The location is great, right next to the Afanti statue, making it convenient to get to various attractions. When we left, we had to take a bus, and the receptionist thoughtfully prepared a breakfast for us to take away
+ Excellent hotel with a great location—right next to the park and close to everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff was very friendly and helpful
The hotel's location os superb. It is beside outside Lyabi house, the starting point of most walking tours. It is also walkable to most of the restaurants and shopping domes.

Charming & Authentic with Excellent Service & Food
I can’t recommend a stay with Akmal & his staff more highly! The hotel is a small converted madrasah, but with far more charm than any other we stayed at in Uzbekistan
But the most amazing example of their impeccable service was, when we had to leave at 4:30am to catch a train, they not only got up to help us without being asked, but had also prepared us a wonderful breakfast to take on the train—and wouldn’t even let us pay for it
Plus, it’s been updated with most mod cons—plenty of outlets, decent WiFi, well-appointed bathrooms, fantastic AC & a misting system that makes eating breakfast in the picturesque courtyard a delight—even in August
What we enjoyed the most was the breakfast - we we seated in traditional Uzbek style dining and were served with plates and plates of yummy Uzbek food. The baklava particularly was to die for
The location is also fabulous, just a short walk from Lyabi Khause. BUT the real stars of the show are the service & the food. I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of Uzbek cuisine
But, without fail, Amulet’s breakfasts were absolutely delicious—with daily variety & table service instead of the blah buffets we experienced everywhere else

The pool was a great place to hang out in the hot Bukhara sun. Entry in to the spa is included and has both Turkish and salt rooms. The food was delicious, both in the restaurant and poolside delivery
I had the pleasure of interacting with Dilshad during my stay at Wyndham Bukhara. Throughout my stay, any questions or requests I had were handled promptly and with a positive attitude
I had some local recommendations of what to do from Ameliya yarmuxamedova at the front desk, who was very helpful during our stay. The best hotel I stayed at in Uzbekistan
Their warm hospitality made check-in and my entire stay smooth and enjoyable. A special thank you to the restaurant team for their exceptional service and delicious food
I had a wonderful stay at Wyndham Bukhara! From the moment I arrived, the reception team was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile
Special thanks to Amieliya with great support during our stay in hotel
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay truly relaxing
Really good value hotel, recently renovated, close to the centre of Bukhara. Best bed and ballroom we´ve had during our trip in Oezbekistan and Kyrgystan. Breakfast was diverse and of good quality
It's a good hotel, just in the city center. It's a bit old, but it wasn't bad. Of course, I bring a small teapot when I go. I also bring our tea from here. I put it on the kettle and make my tea
I see many reviews here, with various opinions, there's a Korean review about far from city center, I don't know where he was, but this is right next to the attractions
Stylish hotel, 5 minutes from the city center, everything was fine👍
The hotel was nice, nothing else. Just a little old, so don't expect a lot of cleanliness, but it was good
Extreme value, right in the middle of the old town, clean and new hotel with great service
