I really enjoyed it, I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS kind of big breakfast, they were so fresh and yummy like from your mom’s hand, homemade😍
I think it is the best location, it is easy to get to hotel from rail station, room was so tidy, especially bathroom, all bed sheets were white and clean.
Thank you

Avoid This Hotel – Very Unprofessional
Stayed at Rumi Hotel and had a terrible experience.

They do not provide tourist registration, which is mandatory in Uzbekistan. At checkout, they promised to send it later, but never responded.

They also misled us about the room. The room shown during booking was different. At check-in, we were given a storeroom-like room with cleaning items (vacuum cleaner inside).
Highly unprofessional and unreliable. Not recommended for tourists.

I stayed in a dorm room for a couple of nights in September during my Central Silk Road, KKH and Afghanistan trip. The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfy, the breakfast rich and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price and the location (close to Liabi Hovuz - heart of the city) was top-notch. The hotel is nicely and traditionally decorated. Spaces are simple, sometimes old and basic, but for this price it's the best bet. The hotel even had a table to sit convenient and write my diary. If I'm back to Bukhara, I'll come to this hotel.

Don't stay here, my experience was like a scam. The price listed when booking online doesn't match the price paid at the hostel. They charge double the price, so you'll need to prepare extra funds. They also didn't provide proof of registration. Very poor service, highly not recommended.

Lovely quiet, clean, and very affordable hostel near the centre of Bukhara, with a very accommodating owner. I got to the hostel at 7am after getting the night train from Tashkent, and was promptly given a wonderful breakfast cooked by the owner, who kept coming out with more and more dishes and teas/coffees, all in authentic Uzbek style.

In my dorm room, the owner let me choose my bed and turned on the A/C for me. On checking out, she gave me a receipt for the city’s tourist tax and allowed me to keep my bags safely in the lobby for the day, before I came to pick them back up for my train that evening. When I missed my train (my own fault for going to the wrong station) and returned to the hostel, she checked me back in and gave me the same bed, which had already had the linen changed and cleaned.

I regret choosing to stay at this place—it was truly disappointing. While the location is undeniably good, situated close to major tourist attractions, the advertised "24-hour check-in" option turned out to be completely misleading. Instead of proactively messaging the property, I waited outside the hostel for hours, hoping someone would let me in.

The issues didn’t stop there. On the first night, no blankets were provided. To make matters worse, they charged me extra. Although I managed to get my money adjusted in the next booking, I had to specifically request this. Additionally, I was moved to a better bed with some privacy, as the previous one was a standalone, open bed without a curtain.

As I was leaving, the lady at the reception asked for my passport, which I had already submitted upon arrival. Her behavior was odd, taking several minutes to do something questionable with my passport, all while ignoring my questions. When I asked her for clarification, she rudely responded with, "Don’t create drama here." Such unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

I strongly advise against staying at this hostel. There are far better options out there that value their guests and operate with proper professionalism. A friendly atmosphere is vital for an enjoyable stay, and I hope the management here learns and grows from their shortcomings.

The rooms and the hotel in general are clean. There were comfortable beds and good mattresses in the room. Not noisy. Hospitable hosts. I liked the hearty and tasty Uzbek breakfast. There was construction during my stay, I look at the photo and it's great now!

An excellent place that was so much what I hoped Bokhara would be like. (I waited hopefully for the caravans from Kashgar to arrive) It's on the southern outskirts of Arabon, the World Heritage Centre of Bokhara, so it's all narrow alleys and ornate doors. 10 minutes north is the Lyabi Hauz and all the touristy bazaar areas. We were upstairs in comfortable beds, with a large bathroom, all perfectly clean and pretty quiet. Breakfast was good and filling, some of the staff spoke English, particularly Mikki, who found me a doctor for my bronchitis. Strongly recommended

I stayed here because it gets such a good write up in the Lonely Planet and on *********** but was very disappointed. I had a bizarre experience when I arrived and it would not provide a drink, even water (not a language difficulty thing). The room wasn't very nice, (It had a large tub and signs strictly forbidding its use) the wifi was hit and miss. The breakfast was large but there was no choice, which was a waste and the coffee had things floatiing in it.

We visited Bukhara in October 2021 and stayed at Rumi guest house for a few days. The place is decent. Very clean rooms with private bathroom; amenities are simple, yet sufficient for a guest house. Comfortable beds and clean beddings. The breakfast was not rich in terms of variety, but with very generous portions. The hostess was friendly and helpful. We asked for softer pillows and she immediately provided a replacement. For guests who value a quiet and clean place for a low price- that's the place to stay in. The location is excellent- 3 min away from the cultural centre with shops, restaurants and sightseeing. By choosing this place you will safe on taxis. We literally did most of the tour on feet due to proximity to the guest house. Overall, great value for the price we paid.
