The problems started when we arrived. We had initially booked for the quadruple room with partition specifically. They took us to a different room, which was different and without partition, so I asked to get the one with partition, they took us there and it was bad. Old, let go, the shower tiles broken. The bed also was very old and springy. The bed linen looked very old, almost yellow/dirty. The shower warm is but not working well.

It looks like the guesthouse is managed by a group of young men who don't seem to care so much about it, you don’t really see them during the day, while it is actually two women who clean and cook the breakfast (not the best to be honest, we once got pretty much transparent tea without actual tea leaves/bags, so we used our own teabags). It seems like every question that I was asking to them was a huge nuisance, things like will we get a registration (which is necessary for tourists in Uzbekistan)? Can we leave our baggage? They don't even respond to greetings in the morning - and it's not a language barrier since I speak English, Russian and Uzbek - and overall didn't make us feel welcome in that place. We also did not feel safe leaving our things in the bedroom and ended up taking with us our laptop and passport during the day.

Only one lady was nice and gave us some kompot for breakfast.

The position is good but honestly it’s in no way a justification for all the bad stuff in this place. I got so much attitude from the front desk person particularly, and I am still not sure what I did wrong besides showing up and asking for the room I had initially booked and, I guess, a registration?

I would not recommend anyone to come here - there are for sure plenty other wonderful guesthouses for the same or a lower price in Samarkand, which you will feel comfortable and where the overall vibe won't risk ruining your day.

This guest house is very very bad. In particular, the toilet was smelly and dirty and the bed was too uncomfortable to sleep!! We had a really bad stay and I would not recommend it to anyone. It is a pity, cause the position is good and the staff people are nice

Not good! Avoid! Stayed in a private at this hostel for 3 nights. The hostel itself is alright, and the breakfast was poor. However, the 1 Star is for very sketchy behavior from the staff. They asked to see our booking and stole our booking PIN. They have been using this to modify our booking on Booking.com to change the dates, even after we finished our stay. Very worrying and unprofessional behaviour. Just avoid this place

I stayed at this hostel for 2 weeks, on different dates, and I really liked it and recommend it for its cost/benefit. I stayed in a shared room with 10 beds, which was great when it wasn't full, because the room doesn't have ventilation at night, so everything is closed. The reception staff, the two guys, were always helpful and attentive. I needed to work and was able to use the main desk. The internet was good. There was only one bathroom, which sometimes couldn't handle the demand and was only cleaned once a day. Overall, I liked it and recommend it.

I have been here three times and can highly recommend! Very helpful personnel, rooms are basic but comfortable and nice, location is excellent and breakfasts are tasty. Thank you for nice stay!

This is not guest house. It's more like hostel. There was no iron, I wanted to iron my clothes, when I asked reception boy, yes, teenager. (I took my those clothes and came to him) He said: "your clothes are fine, you can wear them, and wrinkles on jeans are okey". I had no jeans at all🤦‍♂️(Photo of my clothes in attachment). So there was no iron in this "guest house". Hairdryer as well. This is not all. There was a whole in window of toilet door. I hope they will fix that. But still my room was quiet warm. There was wifi, not superfast but ok. 1 star for his "your clothes are fine, you can wear then without ironing"

Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Dorm room had no windows.

I hate to do this because the people seemed nice but the rooms are a mess and the pictures are either years old with no upkeep or photoshopped. The rooms where stinky and the plumbing is loud and unconventional to say the least. The location is close to registan but a good ways from anything else. With a lot of time and effort this could be a nice if modest place.
