I originally booked a hotel in Samarkand city center, but due to ongoing construction works, I was transferred to Imron Hotel. The transfer process was very smooth, and I truly enjoyed my stay from 26/12/25 to 29/12/25.
The staff were easy to communicate with and always ready to help. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome.
The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a wardrobe, mini fridge, and other essential amenities. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean, which I really appreciated.
The breakfast was delicious, prepared with care—special thanks to the lovely lady who cooked it.
Conveniently, there are grocery stores, a bread stall, and a chicken-based restaurant just around the corner. Major attractions such as Amir Temur Mausoleum, Ruhabad Mausoleum, the nearby park, and mosque are only a 5-minute walk away. Registan Square is about a 15-minute walk, and from there you can easily walk to other sites like Islam Karimov Park, Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Mausoleum, Siyab Bazaar, Hazrat Khizr Mosque, and Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis.
I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Imron Hotel, for a wonderful experience!

They double book rooms! I've traveled all over the world and this was the least professionally run accomodation I've ever reserved. Our booking was confirmed yet upon arriving at 6 pm they said they don't have any availability since we didn't reply to their message asking our arrival time. We ended up having to last minute find something else for the night without any help from them. I also had to ask him to cancel it on Booking.com to avoid getting charged, he refused, seems like he was trying to also scam us for a full night's pay. Eventually he agreed to mark it as cancelled after I insisted.
UPDATE: talked to booking.com and because he asked me to cancel I lose any evidence I have, meaning he knows the system and how to not be held accountable. *Do not* cancel your reservation if he tells you to do so when you're double booked, it puts you at fault within Booking.com's policy.

The breakfast here was by far the best I have had in Uzbekistan and the region in general. Lots of vegetarian options and very generous spreads.

The room itself was clean, however they were missing a TV. No shower curtains despite having a rod. Smelled like sewage at times. The pillows were also too fat and uncomfortable.

We had original reservations at Samarkand City centre, but we were told upon arrival that "there had been accident, room is stinky," so they sent us here, even promising a window view.

I was peeved as this was now a 15 minute walk to Registan square instead of 5 from the original place. But at least closer to the Amir Temur Mausoleum.

We were taken here and they demanded cash for all 3 nights. I wanted to call back the taxi to get driven somewhere else, but we already had a long travel day. I had to ask if we could at least see the rooms before committing.

The room was clean on a positive note. It's newer, so it's good for now, hopefully good upkeep over time will keep it that way.

But the place had a couple large holes in the wall (both that were much bigger than a large door) that were covered with tarp, one with a car battery to hold it in place. Back home, there are laws that wouldn't let a place like this operate with those.

Our "window view" was a joke as both of them were butted up against a fixture, as pictured.

I thought the breakfast was fine, my husband thought it wasn't good at all, especially the coffee ☕. He didn't eat there again.

Upon check-out, we had to wait for the hostess to go in our room and count/find all of the towels before we could leave. In all my years of travel, I've never seen anything like this. That's just bad business: is it really worth establishing distrust in a guest for a towel?!

Finally, for Yandex sake, this place was harder for drivers: we had to walk off site for about 5 minutes for them to find and pick us up.

As for me, it's great place to stay. The apartment is in an old central asian style and if you are waiting for super-comfortable place, better to choose another hotel.

All that you need is there (close to Registan Square, cold and hot water, free Wi-Fi and the spirit of central asian houses).

Owners are super-friendly and nice persons. If you play chess, you will have an opponent to play with. :)

Excellent guesthouse, run by a lovely and welcoming family. Rooms are clean, location is fantastic and it feels like a home stay more than a hotel.

Staff was very nice, I came early so my room wasn't ready but they gave me another room to rest for a while and free breakfast.. location was good, very central, just behind the registan square, about 5 minutes walking. Breakfast was nice, home made style. Bed was probably not very comfy, but cant complain for the price you pay.. bathroom was also very small but still very clean.

A lovely place to stay close to Registan. It's a traditional family home with tastefully renovated rooms and comfortable beds. The family does everything they can to ensure you have a pleasant sojourn.
