I had an excellent stay at this hotel and everything was absolutely spot on. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it very easy to relax. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Location was perfect, with easy access to the main attractions and transport. The breakfast options were fresh and satisfying. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. Overall, a wonderful experience that exceeded expectations I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

We were the only guests as it was the low season for tourism. The hotel was extremely well decorated, the room was comfortable and the owner was welcoming.

Good but not special
The place is ok (clean, friendly management,etc). However, they never replied to our messages before the stay, bathroom smells (and if you forget the door open, the whole room smells). There must be a water pump around and every time anyone opens a tap, it starts making noise.

The hotel is quiet and away from traffic. It has an inviting, traditional ambience with an outdoor enclosed courtyard suitable for coffees and rest.

Recently stayed here in Room 124. The room carpet was torn and the door to the room did not allow for privacy as it had frosted glass panels in it. Room was also right next to smoking chairs. Perhaps owners could install a blind or curtain over the room door to allow for privacy. Housekeeping did not provide water on the second day of my stay. Hotel is not close to any sites. Breakfast buffet was delicious and bountiful. Would not stay here again.

Perfect location! Samarkand is a safe and very walkable city, and the Billuri Sitora is perfectly situated in the heart of it all. It’s got old time flare with modern amenities and has the feel of a real family operation. The best part is, when you’re here you feel like part of the family. Great value, great courtyard and a quietly setback location. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else.
If I have one negative, it’s the breakfast. It’s only served from 7:30-9:00 and isn’t worth getting up for.

We stayed 4 nights at this fabulous family run hotel and wish we could have stayed more. We loved our stay. The owner and his family were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to help us in anyway they could. The owner speaks perfect English and gave us great advice on how to spend our time in not only Samarkand but also Tashkent. The air conditioning rooms were excellent, spacious with the most comfortable bed to sleep in! Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to your day. The location was good with places to eat close by and only a short taxi ride to the main tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Samarkand and recommend you contact the owner regarding bookings rather than an agency, his quote is much more reasonable!

Comfortable hotel with environmental potential
All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. However, it could be improved by implementing some already quite common and simple measures for more environmentally friendly operations such as allowing to skip daily cleaning/ exchange of towels (which was possible upon request, though) and adding more local products to the buffet breakfast (is importing apples from Azerbaijan and yogurts from Belarus really necessary?).
