We had a very pleasant stay at Shahnoza Grand. The location is very central which allowed us to pop in and out as needed. The room was comfortable and cozy, it is what you would expect for such affordable accommodation. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and their birds singing in the courtyard was a lovely addition.

Our room was very spacious and incredibly beautifully decorated. The courtyard with its seating area and pool was also lovely. However, what we will remember most is the host's hospitality and helpfulness. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend it.

I don't know why there are negative comments here. I arrived a few hours ago with my boyfriend and his parents and I'm enjoying a really large room with a hot shower, a well-divided bathroom that's practically brand new. I found the property spotlessly clean, and the host was truly kind and helpful. In my opinion, full marks and I recommend the place!

There's nowhere closer to the Registan. In the very center of Samarkand. The quietest place. Rooms for 3 people. Clean and tidy. Nice courtyard. Very nice hosts. Check-in is very fast. You can negotiate the price. You can get a good night's sleep - it's quiet... Very warm. I was there in February 2026. They answer the phone 24/7. Book directly by phone. I liked it!!!!!

Excellent all amenities are there

Some rooms on the first floor are being renovating and the paint smells super strong, can’t even breathe and gives the real headache. There is no bathroom on the second floor, and all guests share three bathrooms just next to the gate .

The guest house is located near Registan, so you will have no problem going there by feet. It is a traditional house in a traditional mahalla, hence if you expect an actual hotel, it's not for you. I just want to clear out that this is not a hotel but a guesthouse. It’s more like a luxury hostel than a hotel. It advertises a spa and sauna but we didn’t see either. Nice guesthouse in a good location. Rooms were new, very spacious and warm!! I was in Uzbekistan in winter and not all rooms were warm in other places I stayed. Owner Timur is very nice and late checkout the day I left was no problem. Breakfast was less spectacular than some but certainly adequate.

The address was a bit difficult to find, but it's a great location to use as a base for Samarkand. It's near the Registan and in the heart of the city. Spacious rooms, private kitchen, and washing machine. Well-maintained and clean. Highly recommended.

You have to go outside to get to the toilet (and shower). Not pleasant at night, especially if it's raining. You stay in cinder block chalets built for tourists. Area is pleasant but I'm not sure it's worth the long drive.
