The hotel is located in a strategic location, within walking distance of the heart of the Old Quarter, especially the weekend night market along Dong Xuan Road.

The room is spacious, but the interior and furniture are a bit dated, and the cleanliness is acceptable. The towels provided are somewhat old, and some have stains. The shower has strong water pressure and a stable temperature. However, the hairdryer provided in the room is very small.

The staff—especially the receptionist who assisted us during check-in—were extremely helpful. She speaks English very well. We arrived at the hotel around 6 a.m. and understood that early check-in was not possible due to room unavailability. Most shops in the Old Quarter open from 8 a.m. onwards, so it was quite difficult for us to wait until 2 p.m.

Fortunately, the receptionist informed us that she would try to prioritize housekeeping once a group of guests checked out at 9 a.m. She suggested that we walk around and return at 11 a.m. She also provided us with a map of the Old Quarter and shared many recommendations. By the time we returned, our room was ready.

We did not hear any noise from the street, but the soundproofing within the hotel is not very good, as we could hear people talking and laughing outside our room. Nonetheless, we didn’t spend much time in the room, so it didn’t really matter to us.

Overall, I would still recommend this hotel because of its great hospitality and friendly staff.

The location was fantastic, right near Hoan Kiem Lake. However, the hotel is on the 7th floor, and the elevator only goes up to the 6th floor. I wouldn't recommend it if you have luggage.

Nice place. Wife and I live on outskirts but come to old quarter sometimes. This will be our hotel on weekends for these trips. Nice staff and good location

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at Castella for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived for an early 6:00 AM check-in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism.

The staff truly went above and beyond by decorating our room for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. Every team member we encountered was friendly and eager to help.

The location is superb—it’s on a quieter road, so it isn't overly busy, yet it was incredibly easy to get around using Grab. We loved the balance of convenience and peace. We will definitely be returning to Castella in the future!

I had such a nice stay here. It is clean, a good location and the rooms a spacious. But what I loved the most about the stay was definitely the staff. Incredibly helpful, always greeting you with a warm smile. When it started raining heavily and I needed to go out they helped my wrap my shoes in plastic and offered me a poncho. Would definitely stay here again!!

I stayed for 4 nights. The location is near the St Joseph Cathedral and the lake. Breakfast is reasonable local and simple western food.
Overall is value for money.

Great place to stay. The staff are very service oriented and can feel that they care for the customers satisfaction. They took time to share on how we can maximise our stay such as recommending where to eat and where to go.

The rooms were as per photo, and clean too. Beds were comfortable too as my kids slept well.

Overall enjoyed our stay here and will come again!

I recently stayed for 3 nights at the Hanoi La Castela Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. My room was spacious and clean as my expected. The bed was particularly comfortable, which made for restful nights.

The hotel served a breakfast buffet with Western and Vietnamese dishes. The service throughout the hotel was friendly and professional, which helped me feel more comfortable. Particularly the staff in reception named Jennifer she can communicate well in English and give smiles everytime I enter and out in the lobby.

Overall, the Hanoi La Castela Hotel delivers good value for its star rating. It’s a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.
