Reviews
The staff were polite and helpful. There is a lift in the hotel, which is convenient. Breakfast options are limited, but whatever is available tastes good.
Now coming to the drawbacks — the rooms are not very well soundproofed. You can hear noise from the corridor at times. The hotel is located inside an alley, so there is no street view, and sometimes it may feel slightly enclosed. However, to be fair, most properties in the Old Quarter area are similar in structure.
Also, Grab cars cannot come directly to the hotel entrance, so you need to walk a little to the main road.
Overall, a comfortable stay with a great location. With better soundproofing, it would easily be a 5-star experience.
The receptionists they were able to speak well english. The breakfast are great. You need to order the night before. The room and the washroom were spacecious. Overall, the hotel was worth with it's price. The airport transfer service was reasonable.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and they speak good English.
The rooms are clean and pleasant, with a minibar and air conditioning. They clean them daily. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. You can order pho bo soup, an English breakfast, pancakes, and so on. I have nothing to compare it to, since this is my first time in Hanoi, but I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip.
I dont know what is excellent about this place.
But i stayed there about 3 days and 2days at Sapa and again coming back this hotel for one more night before going to the air port.
Location is great; walkable from old quarter and market places.
Staffs are good ; helpful but not over friendly in good way
Breakfast is good; needed to pre order from the menus but the portion is great and taste also.
Overall, i dont know what make this hotel stand out.
But i would choose this hotel again when I come back to hanoi :D
My room was bright and spacious, with big windows that made it feel really welcoming. Everything was spotless, and the staff truly stood out—they were warm, attentive, and communicated clearly in English, which made the whole experience much easier. Breakfast was another plus, offering a simple but satisfying mix of Vietnamese and Western options, along with fresh fruit and good coffee.
The hotel sits down a quiet little lane about 50 meters from the main road. Taxis can’t pull up directly to the entrance, but it’s only a short walk, so it wasn’t an inconvenience at all. We also arranged a private SUV through the reception for our trips to Ninh Binh and Cat Ba, and the hotel handled everything smoothly from start to finish.
Overall, my stay at Marigold Hotel was genuinely enjoyable, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, friendly service, and good value just outside the busy Old Quarter.
