PLEASE AVOID STAYING HERE no matter how good of a deal you’re getting.
We had the most horrible experience at this place. The receptionist made us wait 2-3 hours before admitting that they were overbooked. The same thing happened to 10-20 other people right in front of us. Totally ruined the day!
While waiting, we went up to check the rooms and the pool, and they were utterly disgusting - the pool appeared to have algae in it, and the rooms were mouldy!

Cancelled on us when we arrived on New Years eve:
This hotel sometimes lists themselves on Airbnb and other sites. We booked (and paid) on Airbnb and we arrived New Years eve,we were told it was cancelled and were given no help or consideration. Airbnb gave us our money back but this left is with no where to stay. I would not have confidence in bookings here having experienced how they manage (and sometimes cancel) their confirmed bookings.

My partner, my kids and my parents and I booked, we paid the full price.
We arrived in Phu Quoc and was told by desk staff that they changed owners, and we did not have any room booked with them.
We had to run around and try to find alternative accommodation last minute and pay ridiculous prices.
Double check your bookings in Phu Quoc because this happened to many people.

Cancelled our booking Christmas Eve!!
We had two rooms booked here Christmas Eve, when we arrived they said they didn't have our booking via Agoda even though we had, had confirmation. After an hour of discussion we managed to book elsewhere. As we left they asked what we paid and miraculously had two rooms for us, to which we declined.
Do not trust this hotel, they will cancel your booking if they get a better offer and leave you stranded.

One of the most hospitable places I’ve been in Vietnam. Not only they provided with free breakfasts, coffee and tea (even though the price for the hostel is already cheap), but also the owners were supportive enough to offer me the terrace to practice and teach yoga. Moreover they showed me around by car completely free. Btw, the landlord freely speaks Russian. They also have animals like monkeys, birds and iguanas

I pre-booked. When i arrived, they ask me to wait. I wait for more then an hour. Then they said the resort was overbooked, so no more room. I had to finf anotger hotel for 3 days. Wasted a lot of time because of this.

There is no elevator, so it is difficult if you have a lot of luggage

There are too many ants on the floor
I feel bad for the animals tied up.

Cali Hill is located in between two major areas, and walkable for both. The room was good with basic amenities, tv, A/C, storage, and coffee for the opening, albeit make sure you get the water heater from the front desk. The best were very hard and thin, so if you are used to a plush mattress that you sink into this isn’t for you. The A/C was very nice and got cold. Also the bathroom is a toilet/sink/shower all in one, so make sure you take anything you don’t want to get wet out before you shower, like your toilet paper lol. The pool looked great, and the two restaurants had a steady flow of people which tells me it was good, I just didn’t utilize as I had other items on my agenda.
