InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort in Phu Quoc Island

Really quaint and lovely resort which is just the right size without having to walk too much from room to pools or beach. Tbh, as online reviews go, Housekeeping is really meh, despite best efforts. Resort credit for meals is a good deal. There is a marina with good local dishes 5 minutes along the beachside walk, which we really recommend. Really accessible via grab. Food was good. Overall recommend if you are not absolutely anal about hygiene.

Awesome resort, can largely stay inside the resort and enjoy. City is a bit chaotic.

We came to Phu Quoc for a Chinese New Year vacation with our three kids, and specifically chose the InterContinental. The hotel is very close to the airport, about a 10-minute drive. The hotel did an amazing job with the Chinese New Year decorations; every corner and detail was beautifully arranged, making it easy to snap great photos anywhere. There are several restaurants, and I highly recommend booking the Sunset Restaurant in advance, as the views are stunning. The kids' club has both indoor and outdoor water activities, and our children loved it so much they didn't want to leave. The only downside was that due to the high number of guests, we had to queue for check-in, breakfast, and other meals daily. This is something I think the hotel should improve. However, for a Chinese New Year break, I still think it was worth it!

We added an extra bed and were upgraded to a triple room. The hotel's pool, beach, and kids' water park are all great, and there's a kids' club available. Both the Sora & UMI restaurants offer delicious breakfast and dinner, though the efficiency is a major drawback. Despite many empty tables, we still had to wait for breakfast. The Sea Shack restaurant had a lot of flies, and the breakfast was basic. Overall, the environment is excellent, and the service is warm. There's a small night market just a short walk away, though it's not as lively as the central area. There are also many massage options nearby.

Maybe it was due to the sheer number of rooms, but check-in, check-out, and breakfast all involved queues, giving me the impression of being in Sanya during Chinese New Year. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive; even after checking out, there are still public amenities like the kids' club, a pool with public showers, a game room, and a lounge where you can pass the time, which was a huge plus. Initially, we booked an apartment building, which had a pure business style with no sea view. It had a kitchen but no cooking utensils, and a washing machine but no outdoor drying rack, making it feel a bit impractical. After communicating with Ctrip, we switched to a classic room. The spacious, irregularly shaped room and the marine-themed soft furnishings instantly brought back that vacation vibe for us...

Late arrival into Phu Quoc and this was a last minute booking as my original reservation on another booking site was a fake listing where the villa does not exist. The staff checked us in efficiently and our luggages were also sent over quickly so that we could rest after the ordeal. We enjoyed the space and breakfast was good. Unfortunately we didn’t have more time to enjoy the facilities but overall, it was a lovely destination which we will consider returning to in the future.

Overall, the hotel is excellent and a perfect place to spend quality time with family or as a couple. The only aspect that disappointed me for a five-star hotel was the limited variety and quality of cocktails offered in the restaurants.

Booked a two-bedroom suite, which was perfect for a family trip. The food was delicious, and the lava cake was superb! The environment is beautiful, and while the beach isn't the cleanest, it's pretty typical for central beaches. There are also several massage parlors nearby that offer a great experience.

The hotel is a convenient 15-minute drive from the airport. After check-in, the front desk proactively encourages you to add their WeChat account, which essentially becomes your 24-hour customer service. You can book any requests (including adult and kids' activities within the hotel) through it.

🏝️InterContinental Phu Quoc is an absolute haven for kids! The hotel has two regular swimming pools 💦, plus another pool with slides 🛝, so the kids can enjoy a different one each day.

🍜After swimming in the morning, we'd head straight to the poolside restaurant for lunch. They have a kids' menu, so children can order themselves, and there's even a simple English crossword puzzle 🎮 on the back of the menu – it's incredibly kid-friendly! This allows for a seamless transition between playing in the water 💦 and eating 🍔.

☀️When it gets too hot in the afternoon, the kids can go to the kids' club for activities (Figure 1 shows the schedule). The hotel staff 👩‍💼 have excellent English and good accents, so the children can communicate with them independently, and I can just observe from the side.
