Andochine Resort & Spa Phu Quoc in Phu Quoc Island

This room type was advertised as a standalone villa, but it's incredibly small! Four people couldn't even turn around in the living room. I've never written a bad review before, but I really have to complain about this. The resort environment is decent, and the house seems newly built, as there was a strong formaldehyde smell. All in all, the room is just too small.

The hotel is generally clean, but one of our kids developed a rash after sleeping on one of the beds, leading us to suspect bed bugs. Fortunately, our butler, Henry, responded promptly and arranged for the bed to be cleaned.

Despite the name "Andochine Villas Resort and Spa," we were surprised to find no on-site spa services available. That said, nearby massage parlors are just a convenient 5-10 minute buggy ride away.

The hotel assisted us in arranging 16-seater vans for trips to the northern and southern tourist spots. However, one of the vans had ants on the seats, which was an unwelcome surprise.

On the brighter side, the private swimming pool in our villa was clean and spacious enough for 4-5 kids to splash around and have a blast—we made some great memories there.

The butler service truly elevated our stay, making everything easy. We simply messaged Henry via WhatsApp with any requests, and he was quite responsive. He even handled ticket bookings for some attractions and provided restaurant and massage parlor recommendations, which was a huge help for us as we hadn't done much prior research.

There were so many positive comments about their kindness, and I genuinely felt like all the friendliest people in Vietnam must work at An Do Chin! Everyone was incredibly kind and always eager to help.

Our room was excellent and spotlessly clean! Marble floors can easily show dust even after cleaning, but there wasn't a single speck, and we didn't spot any bugs. Perhaps because we were just one family using only the master bedroom on the second floor, but while the water pressure was great everywhere else (at the sinks, bathroom vanity, and bathtub faucet), the shower pressure was unfortunately quite weak, which was a bit of a shame.

We visited during the rainy season, so when it rained at night, a lot of leaves would fall into the pool. However, every morning when I woke up early, the staff had already meticulously cleaned it up. When we requested a buggy via KakaoTalk or the intercom, it arrived promptly to take us to the night market or TR Mart. On rainy days, the staff would even get out and hold an umbrella for us. No matter how many requests we made, they always accommodated us with a cheerful smile!

The most touching gesture was how they knew it was my birthday and presented me with a surprise birthday cake! I was genuinely surprised and grateful. The cake itself was also absolutely delicious!

While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, every single dish was incredibly tasty! The pho, in particular, was outstanding.

The cleanliness was so impeccable that even my wife, who is quite particular about hygiene, felt completely comfortable using the bedding and towels.

If I ever return to Phu Quoc, I would definitely choose An Do Chin again!

The staff were all incredibly friendly, and our butler was exceptionally attentive and helpful with every request, from buggy arrangements to restaurant recommendations. The seafood BBQ at the hotel restaurant was a highlight, with incredibly fresh and delicious ingredients. Breakfast offered pleasant daily variations, and the complimentary afternoon tea was a delightful surprise. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit and wholeheartedly recommend it to friends!

The cleanliness of the rooms including bedding, floors, swimming pool and the bathroom are in high standard. Special thanks to our housekeeper, Mia. She is always willing to help with a smile.

Beautifully located near the beach, offering stunning views. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with suggestions for our itinerary. Our room was comfortable, and the private pool was a huge hit with our daughters, who had a wonderful time. A minor point to note is that, as is often the case in rural areas, there were some ants in the room, but it wasn't an excessive amount and didn't really bother us. My favorite aspect was how close the villa was to the buffet, so we didn't have to worry about rainy weather.

Overall services are very good. The envionment and atmosphere are very relax, Dory is a very helpful and lovely girl which help us a lot. Like the food very much too

This is my second trip to Phu Quoc, and I've stayed at this villa both times, which speaks volumes about the excellent location, environment, and food. It's perfectly suited for families with children, with buggy service provided for convenient transportation to nearby areas. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and their hospitality is outstanding and polite. For a place offering a private pool and a private beach, I'd rate it a solid 99/100. To top it all off, the staff even presented handmade crafts to the children.

After our time in the north, we traveled south and stayed at this villa for 3 nights. Our group of 15 occupied two 4-bedroom villas. Our butler, Rendy, was exceptionally attentive and thoughtful, and communication in English was seamless. The buggy service was extremely convenient, and breakfast was delicious. The complimentary tea time was also quite enjoyable. While we occasionally encountered minor facility issues, a quick word with Rendy usually led to an immediate solution. It's very popular with Hong Kong guests; at breakfast, it felt like 95% of the conversations were in Cantonese! 😂 Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely return if I get the chance.
